I’d prefer to keep this thread to a single issue about the fractals that can be analyzed, rather than turning into a meaningless echo chamber about the other problems the fractals have.
Hey, the fractal reward chest for completing one of the tiers in a day may have been intended to encourage grouping at lower level tiers.
But it also acts to discourage it. I am finding I’m passing up helping people on odd level tiers (especially tier 1, which is the tier that really benefits from guidance) because if I only have time for one fractal, I’ll be trying to recruit for an even number.
For those of us that are casuals, it means we’re passing up otherwise functional groups half the time! Maybe this is not what you intended.

I have already been deleting the free hats for town clothing because I don’t have space for them. The knowledge that I’m crammed full is keeping me from making any purchases of town clothing / skins because where would I put them?
Even if I bought more bank space, I’d just fill it up pretty quickly with stuff that matters to me (rares and exotics and runes etc) and be in the same boat pretty soon again.
Literally the best dungeon I have ever played in an MMO.
A community test server is a good community management move. Of course players are cranky, irritable wonks that love to backseat game design and throw hussy fits… and that will never change.
A community test server helps people come to terms with changes and find out they’re not so bad.
Does my progress in the fractal dungeon ever reset? Or am I permanently at the difficulty level I have most recently achieved?
I would hope you’re right.
I hear that you can only set the difficulty to the lowest difficulty of someone in your team. That sounds like recruiting in LA would be hideous ordeal…
Because you will eventually require infusions and ascended armour to complete FotM, is it not possible for a player to paint themselves into a corner by advancing very far in dungeon difficulty, spend their rewards unwisely, and have so few resistances to Agony that it is no longer possible to even complete the dungeon?
As a worst case scenario, imagine a player that simply deletes all of their FotM ascended gear, after achieving a very high difficulty. Is it not technically impossible for them to complete the dungeon and regear at this point?
