look up taugrims “legion” build its what most people are running. Its fairly simple to play. dont just put traits and random utilities you will be useless.

same here and the mist on my server is pretty dead also. I hope they add new games modes and not new maps for the old game mode.

This game has not killed at all. It might have killed it for you, but that may not be true for alot of other people. Personally this game has not killed WOW or SWTOR for me. You should’ve made the title “This game has killed WOW for me”

Who else runs sword/sword scepter/pistol?

Sometimes I use sword/pistol and scepter/sword weapon set. I like the double block on the scepter sword…. I feel I’m the only one who uses sword/sword and sword/pistol weapon set though.

while using sword/sword sword/pistol with MoD(mantra of distraction) and SoD(Signet of domination), you can Mod(1s), SoD(2s), pistol skill 5(2s), switch weapons, MoD(1s), sword skill 4(1s). That would be the combo you would do get the 5 second stun/daze, this only works if none of them are dodged of course. But i also could be wrong because i did this off the top of my head, and its very impractical anyways.

This is how i would fix it. Since i play sword/sword mesmer i’ll use her as an example.

So the skill one skills usually have three tiers of attacks. First tier should attack with main hand 2nd tier attack with off hand 3rd tier would attack with both.

Say i am using sword/pistol animation point this would be kinda of difficult to apply since pistol is ranged. But first tier would be a slash 2nd tier a close range shot or a hit with the hilt of the pistol and 3rd tier would be stab(since i cant think of a reasonable animation for using a sword/pistol at the same times)

Sword Dagger, Amazing defensive and offensive capabilities not receiving enough attention!

I really enjoy using sword/dagger on my thief. Equipped with mesmer runes i can pretty much keep you daze locked. If you drop below 40% health switch to dagger/pistol and finish you off. And if you think your going to heal hit you with pistol skill 4 and another daze.

A few theorycrafting tips for those who defend mesmers:

- Invest 5 points, only 5 yes, into the Illusions trait line (the bottom one) to get “Illusionists celerity”:
——>20% decreased cd on ALL ILLUSION SKILLS.
That includes every weapon skill that creates clones, phantasms,
plus a few Utility skills like Decoy (their main stealth).
Yep, only 5 points. Plus you can cumulate with any weapon specialization, for an additionnal 20%.
That is around 40% cd reduction on any skill creating clones or phantasms.
That’s pretty short in the end, for abilities that are already on a relatively short cd.

- Get gready and get 10 points (yep, only 10) in Domination, the first line, for “Empowered Illusions”:
—->15% damage increase for illusions. Same, affects clones & phantasms.
Clones will barely scratch you anyway, but phantasms…
Not to mention illusions scale with power/crit, so…

In the end as a mesmer you can invest only 15 points to increase your
clone spamming/phantasm damage capability by…A LOT!!!

I’d really like to hear the other “pet classes” opinion on such powerful, cheap investment, traits.

I’ll do more testing when i get back. But the weapon specific traits, (reduce skill from specific weapon type by 20%) does not stack with Illusionists celerity. so you can only have a 20% reduced cooldown.

If i were to change the skills i would do it like this.

You still have 5 skill slot for each weapon set.

But each main hand would have 6 skills instead of 3, each off hand would have 4 skills instead of 2, and two handed weapons would have 10 instead of 5. So you have choices on which skills you would want to be placed in your 5 slots.

I would love to have an arena type game, at least for me its way more fun then a capture point type of a game.

Also we need some kind of ranking system

I agree. They are easy to use and deal WAY too much damage in a super short amount of time. And worst of all, all they have to do is spam a couple of skills and kills easily come. And on top of that, they have extremely effective escape skills. Combining all these, you got two op professions in PvP. Sure, they can be countered, but the same can be said about EVERY SINGLE CLASS. So yeah, please nerf them.

you cant spam any skills on the mesmer, since each one except the auto attack has a cooldown.
