My wife is getting the same error. Were on the same network. No changes.
The hair in GW2 is really pretty but it’s also the main reason I can’t get into the game. All of the styles that are over shoulder length clip horribly!
If I take a step backward bam hair through my chest. If i spin quickly its inside me in 34235423 different places.
I won’t even start on the clipping issues with equipment.
You really should not have hair physics if you are not going to go all the way and make sure it actually reacts realistically with objects it is touching 97% of the time.
Are the cosmetic armors from the gem store single use?
Lame.
Monk was my first and favorite profession in GW1.
So. Where are the monks, ritualists, paragons and dervishs?
Being saved for expansions?
@Nachtz
“Should of” kinda sounds like “Should av”
“Av” being what happens to Have when said with some accents.
Not correct. Pretty simple evolution of regional speech.
You answered half of what I asked. Now “why have it enabled on things that result in horrible clipping?”
I greatly prefer the static hair in other MMOs as it still looks good but doesn’t clip anywhere near as badly.
@Rhaps.
I would but I am pretty sure they know about most of them. Just look at the default human necromancer in the sample gear.

Couldn’t most of these consumables be spammed resulting in effects that were not desired by ANet?
Death to consumables!
Fix annoying clipping issues!

I just cant take it. Every step I take… The hair flops into back.
It also kills the look of any piece of equipment that has a “collared” look.
I have bought a character slot for each profession but am finding it VERY hard to fill them with unique characters that I like while trying to dodge the horrible clipping.
Random Prize chests are always a “pathetic money-grubbing attempt.”
But look at the bright side… there’s nothing in them remotely required to enjoy the game.
I have played tons of MMOs, some with more advanced customization than GW2.
Yet, GW2 has some of the most annoying clipping issues I have ever encountered.
Shoulders, thighs, and biceps going through armor.
Weapons going though legs.
But the worst is HAIR.
If you choose any hair style that is beyond should length it’s going to clip into your armor and your characters back.
Why have hair animations/physics(w/e is being used) if there is no collision detection?
All these ugly issues in such a pretty game. It greatly reduces the amount of customization that is possible… assuming you don’t want to deal with a constant eye sore.
Why not tweak these things?
Never mind. By 800mb it is over 60%.
I just opened up GW2 and a download started. Around 5,700 files.
Im at 500mb downloaded and it’s only at 5%.
Is this the dwnld size everyone got or is my install faulty?
