Well we dont actually see the decrease in numbers in Orr, becuase the map (as well as all the other maps) are locked in time. By the time you reach Orr in the PS, the Pact is just starting to move in. So the state of the map is tied into the PS. If they were to make the changes to Orr to reflect a cleansed Orr, those doing the PS would be super confused until they finished the story. Just like the ruins left by the Tower of Nightmares, the toxic events, LA, etc. from Season 1. Unless you were there, you have no idea what transpired, and it still leaves a bunch of people confused.
Although I am for the idea of a cleasned Orr, it would have to be played out in instances. Similar to dungeons, or how Season 2 is played out. That way, those just getting to follow the story can do so without too much continuity issues, and those who have completed it, can do so and see and experience the changes.
Read again. The suggestion is to have an NPC that takes you to an alternate version of Orr, which only characters who completed the personal story can get to. Not changing Orr as it is right now, only add alternate version for characters who completed the story, where you have new stuff to do which will help restore Orr.
So I’ve had that idea about Orr:
Characters who completed their entire personal story can talk to an NPC in one of Orr’s maps. That NPC will take the player to an alternate version of Orr – Cleansed Orr.
In those maps we’ll have events to help restore Orr to it’s former self before it sank.
Group Events and quests to help rebuild the civilization of Orr, where the Humans Gods and their heavy believers lived! maybe even a dungeon or a boss there, Maybe even challenging the GODS themselves instead of their priests and priestesses.
What do you say guys? Don’t you want to see Orr restored to it’s former glory?!
So I’m mostly running with my friends, and I want my guardian to be a heavy utillity provider for dungeons. I already have full berserker gear and I think it’s enough dps for the guardian, being only dps and no utillity on guard is a waste of utillity in my opi:-D
. So I’ve been wondering what would be a good utillity build for dungeons (with organized group). I’ll welcome any suggestion wether it’s personal perference or meta build. Thanks!
So I’ve been doing dungeon runs with a group of friends lately and we have a little problem, one of them is a necro. Now the problem is that as we see now, a necro doesn’t really contribute much to the party in pve (as far as many people in the game told me). Necro’s dps is no. Jigh as far as I am told, he doesn’t really buff us with his current build, and conditions don’t help as much as boons against bosses.
Is that really it? Can he contribute in any way? Cuz he doesn’t have another level 80 char atm, and I don’t want to think that Necro is really totaly useless in pve, mostly because we all want to play what’s fun to us.
So my question is: Is there any build for necro which in he provide a significent contribute to the party? I’ll appreciate any help and build suggestions!
Mesmer definitely isn’t anywhere near the top as far as pve classes go. Warrior and ranger can solo open world the fastest and effecient. Thief and warrior are the top when it comes to dungeon solo. As far as dungeon groups go, mesmer is only wanted for the utilities it brings, they have the worst dps unless they have 3 phants out for an extended period of time, but lets not kid ourselves, that pretty much never happens.
Now that’s the problem, I find it very hard to maintain 3 phants for a long time.
And people usually don’t even consider taking me on a dungeon group (for the fact that people in pve want pretty much only dps).
It’s a shame the PVE META leaves the mesmer out like that.
I remember a time where people didn’t only care about dps in PVE and you didn’t have hard time finding groups just because you’re a mesmer/necro/etc.
So I’ve notice the mesmer is just pretty weak when it comes to dps in PVE.
I mean yeah, he can be very slippery, but his damage is so low, it takes so long to do stuff on his own (which means he needs to avoid damage way longer) .
Clones usually don’t even live long enough to shatter, and even if I shatter them, I lose other factors.
Is this class really supposed to be that hard playing alone? Cuz I don’t want to always rely on people on stuff like world completion and such.
Also, am I the only one who thinks that Mesmer’s Focus skill #4 should hace ground targeting?
The clone that destroys protect from projectiles almost never seem to spawn in a place where it actually blocks anything (for example: between the mesmer and the target).
So I’ve been wondering: Is celestial armor any good for anything?
I mean, considering the time it takes to collect 30 Charged Quartz Crystals to make a full set,
is there a build for a class that actually benefits from it somewhere? (WvW/PvP/Pve)
And if you can recommend on a berserker guardian pve build that’ll be great
Okay, so how abou spvp and wvw, would bunker guardian be good there?
So I was wondering about this for a while.
I know that most people use berserker in pve, and I already know how good it is on a warrior.
But I was wondering:
Why is Berserker Guardian or Berserker Mesmer considered so good.
I’m not saying they aren’t, but isn’t Guardian supposed to be tanky protection provider? Or Mesmer should be a clone manipulating illusionist or something? I see I’m missing something since I see so many people talk about it.
I’ll be happy if someone could explain the real benefits in those builds cuz as I see now, Berserker Warrior has the most damage as berserker (and I guess I see something wrong).
Thanks for any help! Would really love to finally know this one.
