Confirming what kanonsir said, I was talking with someone else and they said they chose the Attack option so it doesn’t look like the bug is exclusive to the Defend choice.

I would say most of the TC is anti-troll and is quiet disappointed (to be polite) in those who decided that trolling was the best way to go about things. Even though I wasn’t a part of it, I want to say sorry aways, trolling is never cool, especially against a server we had an awesome, friendly rivalry against (which I do hope we can go back to).

On a different note, besides the trolling, it has been an awesome match week. Kudos to KN for its win and FA for being awesome opponents.

To those who are wondering, yes, SoS are fantastic. Back when we fought them before they shot up the ranking, they had great sportsmanship and were all around great to play against.

This does normally happen, however it might not tonight. TC wants to get back into T2 and with the point difference between TC and SoS being about 3 points right now, we may instead choose to push and increase the point gap so we get there for sure. I don’t help organize it so I can’t speak for certain, but it seems like a possibility.

People are jerks and do things to annoy each other for fun. But know what really keeps them going? When they stop by and see threads like this. If you really want to do something, don’t give them the satisfaction.

You say that as though the vast majority of us would go to T2, get destroyed and return with our spirits broken, weeping for joy to be away from the big meanies while the truly proper and righteous like yourself stand over us and laugh at our tears, jeering at the sullen husks of humans (or any of the other races) that we have become. While it’s all find and dandy to think that way, you’re free to get your kicks however you want (I don’t judge), it’s not what will happen.

If we go to T2 and get soundly beaten, we’ll drop back down but be better for it. We’ll have learned some lessons, gained some tactics and will just keep pushing forward. We’ve been sitting around T3 for a while and had some servers blow past us like a house of kleenex in a tornado (most notably SoR). While is sucked to be on the receiving end of such a ‘deliciously one-sided curbstomping’ we didn’t cry, break down and plummet in rankings. Heck, when we first got to T3 we went against Crystal Dessert, got our kittens handed to us and dropped down a tier. The next time we squared off we did not throw ourselves before them, begging for mercy, we fought and we won.

So while it’s cool to think that…no…

According to the people in this thread, who I’ll believe because of lack of any real other info, this wasn’t originally intended as a mass GODS exodus. From what’s been posted, about 15-20 strong members of GODS got tired of the guild and wanted to move on, picking TC in the process. The leader of GODS heard about this and decided that the entire guild would also move. I can’t comment on why, but I don’t think that painting GODS as a whole as betrayers is all that fair.

And whether or not there is any truth to purposeful 2v1, it really doesn’t matter now. Its even apparent on this thread that there is bit of a lovefest between Yaks and TC right in this thread alone. Theres nothing wrong with that, and my guess is if Yaks had an equal opportunity in attacking FA or TC, they will go after FA, and that just simply sucks for us.

And if you guys are going to do that, fine, but don’t do it with the assumption that we are jerks.

I don’t think you’re the “bad guys” but you certainly have bad guys (although this is true of any server)

The apparent lovefest comes from the bad guys I mentioned above. The people who are (very) vocally pronouncing their views that there’s are 2v1 are basically insulting the integrity of the other two servers, not something a lot of people take too well. Now should this just be passed off as just more words on the internet? Yes and for the most part it is, but when the stream of “You’re 2v1ing us” simply doesn’t end, the other two servers are likely to stand collectively together (on the forum), shake their heads and laugh together. When it keeps going still, they’re likely going to get together to simply troll those people. Now is this right? Eh, no, probably not and there’s no real good defense for that behaviour, but the crux of the issue is that the 2v1 mentality is being propagated by those screaming “2v1!!!” themselves.

I’d also like to thank the FA members in here who are reasonable and keeping a level head, I’m glad that you make up the majority of your server and actually speak out for them.

@Kanikani – assuming your server doesn’t know it’s commanders and has no voice comms. It wouldn’t work like that on SBI

I don’t think most servers outside of T1 and possibly T2 have server wide voice chat for WvW coordination, we’re T3 (Tarnished Coast) and I’m pretty sure we don’t. It’s a great idea and would likely helps us A LOT, but someone just has to take the initiative I guess :P

Kani’s idea would likely work to some extent in lower tier servers or with some of the casual WvWers (I don’t mean casual in a bad way) on our server who don’t know our commanders, It wouldn’t work forever, but might be somewhat effective in the short term.

Okay people, why don’t we steer this topic away from the bad spirited, name calling and back into civilized territory? Obviously all the servers involved here want to win making the competition fierce, but lets not go and become jerks about the whole thing.

Furthermore, lets not let this thread get derailed by a few who have no interest in this and just want to stir up some drama. Keep it nice people.

11:30pm EST is basically prime time across all of North America and anywhere from 5:30am to 7:30am across Europe. Heck this is only something like noon across Asian and Oceanic servers, a time when most people are at work. If you moved this even 4 hours later it would make a BIG difference…

Don’t even bother explaining to scrubs who those guilds are. Without them they wouldn’t even have a server forum to QQ on….not to mention when those scrubs were out spider-hunting and “expecting” the server to win without any effort from their glorified spider-hunting skills, we were staying in 12h shifts trying to do something and planning 24h activity with the numbers we had active in wvw.

On the long run….scrubs like that guy didn’t pay for my game or my time…i payed and i waste my time…for other ppl to just profit or not participate at all…so it’s a decision i made because i have that right…the same goes for others.

Now u scrubs go do what we tried to do and play 12h/day coordinate and try to win on a “oh we win? let’s go PvE” …. “oh we lose? Not going to do that..let’s go PvE” server

Hey, you know that thing called “civility” that we’re trying to keep? Making blanket statements and calling everyone “scrubs” is not that. So if you just want to complain and (attempt to) insult people, then I would kindly ask you find somewhere else to do so.

Yeah. As someone from TC, as far as I can tell, our numbers fall off a cliff from somewhere between 2am and 10am server time. We had some pretty frustrating issues with that when we were facing the predominately Oceanic server Sea of Sorrows. That’s okay, it just makes the fight to take things back more interesting
