I just ran into this same problem (after not checking the calculator for maybe a year). I found a couple old threads on here about it with no solutions that worked for me.
So here’s my workaround. Open your browser’s inspector so you can edit the page. Open the <head> tag and edit the 3rd stylesheet link:

In most cases the challenge is in the search not the fight.
Agreed. Small guilds have fewer eyes, so each player has to cover more ground on average, taking more time to locate the target.
Then if they find their target, they’ll have less time on average to finish it off than a larger search party would have, and they’ll take longer on average to defeat it than a larger party would have.
While adjusting difficulty would definitely help, I would be happy merely getting a longer timer for bounty training.

Our focuses are:

- events
- living stories

- map completion
- puzzle achievements
- crafting
No website or mandatory events. It’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but it’s relaxed. We’re mature, very casual, anxiety-friendly and deaf-friendly. We welcome new and experienced players alike.
[PVE] has an Emblem, Workshop, Armorer & Weapons Contracts, and Guild Bank (Treasure Trove & Deep Cave) open to dedicated members. Guild Missions caught us off-guard by requiring the entire WvW line but we’re up to level 5 now and moseying along :]

We’ve become quite tiny so we’re reaching out again to those who share our values. The server’s focus has changed a lot since we started but it’s still a pretty friendly atmosphere.
We may end up merging with a compatible guild on SoR if we can find it, but invite you to tag along regardless :]
Yep I’ve had that. Here’s the background of what happened to me.. for what it’s worth.
I had not run the JP in 24hrs so I went in for they daily booster & karma reward. At some point before succeeding, I was prompted to leave Overflow and I did. Later I completed the JP, but a split second after loading the reward area I was kicked out and dropped in LA.
So I went back in and completed the jp again. When I opened the chest, it gave nothing. I’m sure, not even 3 Wintersday Gifts. I asked /m if anyone else experienced that, but the only responders said no.
After that the reward was the usual 3 Wintersday Gifts, as if I’d gotten the daily. Maybe that first buggy teleport messed up the daily credit. Did you leave Overflow or get kicked from the reward area Gasoline?

There is story progression between some. Here they are in order of level which is the order they’re introduced to players by in-game mail.
If you’re looking for a quick group I’d recommend another guild I’m a member of, We Run Dungeons [PvE]. It’s there just for hooking up with other players looking for the same dungeon.

We’re a PvE focused guild on based mostly in Sanctum of Rall (America). If you wanted to stay on Devona’s Reach that would be fine.
I understand if you’re looking for a large guild for a better chance of grouping. We’re small and aim to stay that way, but we’re certainly helpful and patient. Your experience is no issue at all :]

I would say Tarnished Coast. I think it was the first NA to get Full again after the population caps were bumped up for Lost Shores. It seems to cater to RP/PvE types.
Disclaimer: I haven’t played there and I don’t know much about most servers, but I’ve always heard good things about TC.

I feel the same as you. My friend feels the same too. We even made a guild together for pansies like ourselves.
It stresses me out. The fast pace I can do – I loved the Clock Tower puzzle. The thing for me was its predictability. I get why others get bored with that, but I want to /know/ if I can succeed. Given practice I could learn that puzzle with confidence. Against random players there’s no guarantee.
Besides that I get no high from killing someone. It can feel personal, even if my attackers or my victims shouldn’t feel like that. I don’t know them, and we can’t communicate. I could assume that they’re only there if they don’t care. That’s fine – that’s why I’m not there :P

Pansies Voicelessly Exploring [PVE] doesn’t PvP or use voice chat, though we enter WvW maps for completion. We’re small, casual guild and you sound like a perfect fit!
The thing right now is our server, Sanctum of Rall, is full. You’d still have access to guild chat, but limited partying and no access to guild upgrades/boons till switching is possible. We’re reporting all the bots we can to make space!

Edit: 2 new members were able to switch over within 24hrs as we fluctuated between full and high. Just keep an eye out.

Does this mean that if 1 person is on say, Yak’s bend, he has a private guild bank?
If the only Yak’s Bend member accumulated enough influence to build one and that member had permission to build one, yes, it’d be like a private bank. Other guild members would have to transfer to Yak’s Bend to get at it.
and no there’s nothing special you have to do – it’s just a matter of members transferring. every guild already ‘exists’ on every server, but influence and upgrades are per server.

I’m experiencing almost all the same things Turpenstein.
We’re fairly niche, so we didn’t expect or want to become big, but we do need more members. I also don’t recruit via map chat so it’s 80% forums or virtually running into players in-game.
The forums aren’t working like they used to for us (at least in part due to Mega Myth’s guild saturation link), so I’m looking to recruit more in-game without /m. Yesterday I upped rank for certain members who had interest in recruiting – not as a responsibility, but on the chance they run into a good fit. Still, so many players already have guild tags.. I don’t have a lot of faith in this. We’ll see.
But yeah, I feel we’re getting tighter and have invested a lot of influence now (a lot for us, that is). I don’t see us merging. We’re trying the patience route :]

19 at the moment. About 10 will come on in a day. We don’t want to be big, but we’re looking to recruit till we have about 5-10 on at a time, or at least during PST/PDT evenings. We don’t impose play times though. It’s a relaxed (read: slow) process :]
