This should be obvious he is not speaking for "necromancer ", but “powermancer” .
He didn’t really go deep into the needs of other builds such as “minion builds” and “condition builds” nor the “well builds”, all he did is asking to buff his favourite power build. Thus Anet you might have to consider much more than him if you have the intetions to fix the class.

I am indeed playing a powermancer(deep SR wells) and I am enjoying it a lot, it is very viable for WvW/PvE and I will keep playing it since I dislike condition builds.
In terms of PvP I usually bunker or MM .

The reason I did not go into more details is, first of all because I am not talking about builds. This thread is about traits.
This is a list of weak and/or useless traits that fits on my personal opinion and nothing more.

The balance has been focused around condition retaled traits for many months now and some attention should be given to every other trait type to start creating viable builds outside of the Condition necro bubble(mostly SPvP related).

I did speak about minions , vampiric ,LF , spectral and condition traits.

Now of course builds like Vampiric or MM lack compared to heavy condi focused or common wells builds but the related traits seem balanced to me.

The obvious problem with minions is how they behave and probably they need a stat tunning.

Vampiric builds are crippled by the ICD and mostly the ICD that is not related to traits , like sigils , runes , food or utilities (see Vamp Signet) .

DS focused builds are also taking a hit from the ICD on utilities like SA & SW.

If you want to take it deeper into the builds, please make a topic about builds , this is a topic about traits and if you feel what I wrote is faulse please explain further like others did.

I find it pretty unfair that half the proffesions can benefit from both precision + crit damage in one trait line while the other 4 can’t. I know nobody’s is same as the others but maybe it should.

The reason I did not incluse speed of shadows is because it is used in heavy DS builds quite a lot and QT pretty much the same, heavy burst dagger builds can benefit from it a lot, maybe it should be an adept.

Indeed siphoned power gives you one stack of might each time you are hit under 25% HP, but how many times you can get hit before dying?
Remember your health is < 25% which means time is running out.

You can’t really get anything close to 25 stacks of might from this trait, unless a naked thief unloads his pistols on you and you have maxed your life pool.
This trait has multiple issues, threshold is too low, duration is also too low , might is insufficient and lacking compared to any raw damage increase that almost all the other proffesions have.

My opinion on SR remains, it has very limited uses and the general concept of the skill is weak, remember in my original post I talk about how traits contribute to the biggest number of “decent” builds.

I completely agree with your last paragraph.

Ok the original post is gold, and the post after is platinum.

This explains the exact problems, proffesions are fine the way they are built, armor stats also, it is the enemy that has to be reworked since it actually punishes anything other than DPS.

Nobody wants to punish the hardcore elite Zerk players. That kind of playing is not for me, but still it is part of the game and I believe that currently its not challenging, it is steamrolling.
Making the enemies harder,with the above suggestions, will actually be a better challenge for everyone(hardcore players included).

If I was a theist I would pray ANet takes ideas from this post.

You are talking about tiny chances + big ammounts VS Big chances + small ammounts.

It’s much more likely to not get a tonic with 0.01 % chance by opening 5.000 gifts than to fail 99 time with a 20% chance out of 100 tries.. That is what drives me crazy here.

I am not a fan of polls, they tend to be the easy solution to see what the mass wants but it doesn’t give the chance to explain your choices.
I bet that most of the people that voted didn’t get a second thought on their votes.

On a general note , trait changes that I believe that necros need most:

a)Traits merge. Self explained , we have too many minion , DS ,staff traits etc. spread out to many lines.
b)Roles in lines. Our lines have a little bit of everything, condi , power, minions , lf regen & more. Most of the time all these things can be found in a single line, which prevents the traits focusing on more important stuff. Giving roles to lines would be somewhat achieved by trait merging but it will still need work to move around traits.

When the roles in lines become clearer then we can start talking about more “sturdy” builds that will keep the necro meta shifting, as many strong builds will exist and you will be able to swap from one role to an other without wondering if this build is not strong enough to play(See SPvP necro meta, burst necro is heavily outshined by conditions while its strong).

Yes we have weak traits, everybody does and they probably need a boost or change but this will still not prevent the meta from staying stationary for long periods of time because of the original position of most traits and how spread they are. I believe the last part applies to all proffesions.

Spiteful retal looks like the case of Companion’s defense to me.
Companion’s defense got changed because the way it worked was countering the way it was supposed to work in the first place.

When you get into DS you have access to an instant fear, a chill or possible teleport and an AoE immobilize, most of the enemies will try to ignore you or avoid your nuke while you are in DS, waiting to strike right after because DS is a strong meatshield.

Getting retal at the start rather than the end means most of the time this retal goes to waste, making it a pretty useless trait the way it works.

Shrouded removal is weak. It is weaker than these “remove 1 condition every 10 seconds” which I never liked. Even with 25 stacks of Confu I won’t get into DS to clean that 1 condition, I would rather try to kite or dodge away and use my DS to hurt my enemy. It could easily see a boost or any change.

Target the weak has the potential to boost your damage by 24%(enemy having every condition on them) but most of the time its lower than 10% and the big minus is that this trait is at the condition line. If necromancer were getting crit dmg + precision (making it a physical damage line) then target the weak would fit perfect. The boost right now even if maxed(24%) is ridiciously low as it only affect self and is not used by burst build in vast majority of the time.

There, I felt like I should analyze my thoughts.

I understood your post Arkantos but steal is still good untraited.
It doesn’t have to be something really outstanding because it is specific proffesion mechanic. It does what it does, and it’s good.

I do agree that it should not start a cooldown if the target is out of reach and instead teleport max range towards that direction and I agree that it needs more options than 1 item stolen(same as warriors more than 1 burst skill)but I disagree with the following:

<< Stealing an ability should not beeing affected by blocking/blinding/evading/immunitiy/missing.
You should getting rewarded with a stolen skills everytime for a steal. >>

Steal is a skill, if you avoid the skill it means you stole nothing so you can’t get a stolen skill if the enemy can block/evade you or if you are blinded. On the other hand giving a trait that makes Steal unblockable, that would be fair.

I disagree with the biggest part of your post. Stealing can fail, just as Warrior burst skills, mesmer f1-f3 skills and engi f1-f4 skills. It shouldn’t be unblockable by default.

Altho I believe it would be nice to have 3 items stolen, it will make things more intresting but only by making it possible to use just 1 and throw away the other 2.

Steal is a very strong skill in general , instant with a decent range , it can be your gap closer or escape tool, it can be an extra stealth or a full boon fest. If traitet it can do strong damage and heal, it can even steal boons and buff allies.

Steal is good.

Death Magic

1)Reanimator(still weak)
The concept of having to kill something to get a Filler minion for a limited amount of time is weak.
Some possible solutions :
1)Remove the cooldown, remove self bleed, make the cap 5 horrors.
2)Give a chance to summon it on hit, keep a max cap and keep the bleeding.

2)Shrouded Removal(weak)
A passive trait with an active aspect.
The active aspect of this trait is too weak nobody will place their DS in cooldown for 1 condition. You will not use DS every 10 seconds in the first place so its worse than “remove 1 condition every 10 seconds” traits.

Possible solutions: Make it remove 1 condition every X seconds while in death shroud.
Making it 1 condition every 10 seconds has the potential to remove 2 conditions in 10 seconds, which is not too powerful but its fine for an adept trait.

Blood Magic

1)Blood to power(misplaced)
Just like Death into Life, this trait looks misplaced and weak for it’s place.

Possible Solution: Increase threshold to 80% and swap it with DiL

Soul Reaping

1)Gluttony(weak)
Very weak trait, with the maximum potential of boosting your LF gain by 1.5%(on spectral grasp). Most of the time you won’t even notice a diffrence.

Possible solutions:
1)Replace with a better trait
2)Boost to 20 or 30% . These percentages might look too big, but in reality they are just tiny mulipliers(1.2 or 1.3 of base LF generation)

2)Strength of the Undeath(doesn’t represent a Grand master trait, looks weak)

Most SR traits make you go into DS more often and spend your LF, which decreases the value of this trait.

Possible Solutions:
1)Boost damage increase to 10% with the same threshold + Swap with LG
2)Decrease Threshold + Swap with LG

I know some people will hate me for this I believe that Last Gasp should be swapped with (modified)Strength of the Undeath.

Last gasp is a very powerful trait and its justified to be a grandmaster, also moving SotU to master could potentialy help power builds not to get very deep in the SR line to be effective.

General observation .
The spite trait line has too many natures and it doesn’t look like it is representing the “Power line” for our proffesion.
Some examples is that through Spite line you can boost your: Power, Cond Dur. , Healing Power , Minion damage, Cond damage while at the same time boosting 3 diffrent weapons( Staff, Focus , Axe) and a utility group (Signets).

All these statistics and boosts make the Spite line “Multi-Colored” which doesn’t really focus on anything and thus creating a feeling that we lack a “Power Line”.

I believe that some trait mergings have to take place(Minion traits, DS traits, Staff traits) so that the lines get somewhat clear opening up space for more builds.

One example would be that players won’t have to focus on 3 lines to boost their minions and be able to add secondary purposes to their build, such as more condition options , or better support through other trait lines.

TL;DR: No TL;DR , I tried to keep it simple and clear.

Before I start my list I need to make clear this is my personal opinion and the criteria used for this list is mostly how much they contribute to certain “Most used” builds.

At the end of my list I would like to point out some other issues that are generated by the nature of our proffesion’s structure.

Traits

Spite

1)Death’s Embrace(useless)

I dislike all the “On downed state” traits. The reason I am trying to build a strong character is that I don’t plan on getting downed and I try to avoid it by all costs.

Solution: Trait replacement

2)Death into Life(misplaced)

This trait belongs to the Blood line. The value of this trait would get a huge boost if it was in the blood line while it looks weak to Spite.

Solution: Boost to 10% + Swap with Blood to Power

3)Spiteful Retaliation(almost useless)

A 3 second retalliation when I enter death shroud is almost useless.

When into DS, the first thing you want to do is either Fear or Chill/Immobilize the opponent, which will make the Retal pretty useless.

Solution : give retal when you leave Death Shroud.

4)Siphoned Power(useless)
One of the worst traits in the game and it is grandmaster.
One might for 5 seconds when your health falls under 25% won’t help me kill my enemy any faster than I was before.
Most proffesions get a solid damage boost under a specific condition .
Solutions:
1)Swap with target the weak(see below)
2)% damage boost under a specific condition(when LF>10% would be an example)

Curses

1)Reaper’s precision(very weak)

A chance trait with a low yield.
This trait is weak by nature.
This trait needs either a chance or yield boost to gain any value.

Solution: Either boost chance to 100% on crit or keep it 33 with a 5% LF gain.

2)Target the weak(weak)

This trait looks both misplaced and weak. First day I saw Dhuumfire I was asking myself why it is where it is while it could replace Target the weak(in a weaker version).

Target the weak is a weak trait compared to any other grandmaster trait that boosts direct damage while the enemy has a condition on them.

Most of the time the enemy is going to have 2-4 conditions on them, which results in a 4-8 % damage boost and keep in mind that :

1)The result is <10% dmg boost most of the time.
2)This is not used by most direct damage builds but heavy condition ones.

Possible Solutions:
1)Boost it to 3% damage per condi, cap it to 12% and move it to Spite
2)Boost it to 5%, stays in curses and caps at 15% .

RNG is RNG indeed, but when we talk about chances like 1/5 or 20% and the result is 1% then something is wrong.

What happened is practically impossible, when you forge 100 times and all come out rare, you get 25 rares back. Which means you can make 106 tries in total.

I had more than 150 tries(with these 500+ rares) and the concept of “bad luck” or “rng” doesn’t seem to fit here. Remember we are talking about moderate chances(20%) and the result is way far than this.

Btw ,you can get exotics with rare items of level 65-66, since upgrading of rarity also means upgrading of level, you can try that with lower than 68 Lv rares(68+ is what exotics are).

All rares were Lv 80 bought off TP.

After throwing 100 more rares inside the forge I got 1 exotic.

I total more than 100 forges for 1 exotic so far, which is 1% chance.

Bump, nobody has similar issues?

The past 4 days I have tried to forge over 400 rares, shortbows/gs/hammers and have received 0 exotics. I am not using a hyperbole here. I have literally threw more than 50g worth of rares for 0 exotic.

Does anyone else have had the same issue?

I’d love to see that as a permanent addition… sounds awesome imho. Queens Gauntlet evolved and put in as permanent content with a progression-system (e.g. Zone progression unlocks new enemies etc.). I loved doing arena battles when I didn’t know what else to do during Queens Gauntlet. It’s bite sized content which can be completed in a few minutes and leaves you wanting more.

That would be awesome for anyone who wants to try their solo skills and experiment with diffrent kinds of builds. This would probably keep me busy for more than a few months, depending on the number of bosses .

I would really love to see a permament Queens Gauntlet(instanced tho) with some kind of spectating options like SPvP is now. This would be an amazing feature and just by adding more and more end bosses you can keep it alive and intresting for a looong time.

CDI- Character Progression-Horizontal

In order to make horizontal progress shine I believe you have to look at some of your core issues first, strengthening the base of it.

One example would be to flip the rewards on attacking/defending objects.
Capturing an Orr temple should be less rewarding than defending it.

If the attacking reward is higher than defending ,then the players won’t bother to defend objectives,resulting in a grind(karma train).

The one thing that I would kill to see is Character progression through traits/skills/weapons etc.
Character progression will add depth to every aspect of the game(PvE,WvW,SPvP) while also opening new doors such as harder/focused content which could be combined with Character progression and increase it even further resulting in breathing air for longer periods within the lifetime of GW2.

I have to say ANet puts too much efford in living stories, after all these months it starts feeling like a grind to me.

Maybe it is time to focus more of your resources on other mechanics of the game, one example would be to make guild UI better, or to fix certain bugs that annoy the playerbase deeply(like the party kick/invites on WvW).

I don’t know what fights you’ve been in… but any equal fights we have had with UW, you guys end up getting steam rolled. Sometimes you guys will just flat out run even with equal numbers. Most of the time your group/zerg kittens itself and falls to pieces when ours makes it’s first charge. There was a battle in SM yesterday where both us and you were trying to take it from arbor. I’m pretty sure you had slightly more numbers than us, but it was practically equal. We charged in and most of your guys backed off with some jumping over the wall out of SM! Made it easy to take you down.

As for low numbers roaming, most of the time when I’ve come across one of you on your own you run. When you don’t, most of you die pretty quickly. I’m sure there are plenty capable of kicking my butt on your server however it’s not the majority.
Earlier when I had a 1vs1 with another warrior he got 2 of his guildies to jump in and help him once he realised he was losing.

You say we need some time in the higher tiers… I say you need some in the lower tiers. It strikes me that you’re used to running around in 1 big blob and don’t really know what to do in smaller groups. Arbor have been kicking your butt too in equal fights.

Sure once you get a big group going you are fine…but like others have pointed out, you can’t keep that up for long.

This isn’t an attack on you, perhaps we have both been in completely different fights! Just giving my perspective of your so called “skill level”.

I just said that from my own perspective too, I’ve had some pretty good duels so far this week, most of them were with annoying perma stealth thieves or mesmers tho.

I have to admit I did not play that much this week even if it is the best match up the last few months, but friday night and monday(?) looked like we steamrolled all the fights in EB. They called me to patricipate in the “loot fest” on friday ‘cause our zerg didn’t wipe more than twice in a 4 hours course.

We don’t have many skilled commanders on UW because most of them have left, so quite a few from the new ones are afraid to push when the right time comes, that might explain the wall jumping.

I totaly agree that we need to spend some time in the lower tiers,not that we haven’t been there before but it is a long time and we have probably forgotten how it is(god I hope we fight Vabbi once) .

Pretty balanced match up overall, want it again next week that our guild’s holiday break finishes

I don’t want to offend the enemy servers, but the skill level on UW looks much higher for me.

7 weeks in the silver league with getting our butt kicked, teached us a lot.

I haven’t lost a 1v1 or 1v2 fight since we stopped playing with ROS & FR. At least when it comes to roaming, looks like you guys could use some time in the higher tiers, it is totally diffrent up there. And when it comes to zerging, equal numbers of UW vs any of 20- server looks like the chances are for UW to win.

Excuse Jarni, I did not intent to reply to him but I will now.

Sweet Jarni, please stop saying about how awesome your guild is, and please get down from your imaginary throne of Underworld.

In 3 out of your 4 posts you are trying to show us that your guild is one of the very few left on UW.
You are telling us how you commanded last night but you only command like twice a month and you spam it like the event of the year.

Please follow my advice and stop trying to organize UW, stop commanding and trying to take all the credit as the “Guild Leader of [WAR]” while 99.9% of what your guild does(not much) is because of your officers.
The 4 last guilds that left UW few weeks back and went to RoS, remember that you take big responsibility for this.

Sorry for the outrage, but this guy drives me(possibly me only?) nuts sometimes.

Great match up so far, at last things look balanced !

Why do the 22- server gets matched with the a17th anyway? That was supposed to be close to 1% chance and it is twice in a row.

All the other match ups have a maximum diffrence of 3 ranks.

I’m OK with blobbing, in fact after all the stomp we got on the silver league the only fun thing to do was blob(since we have guild raids of maximum 20).

The only problem is that our blobs only last for an hour? maybe 2 before getting torn apart piece by piece. Also we have no organized wvw population ^^

There are 3 guilds left on UW that run organized WvW events with 10-20 players max, and 2 of them are PvX. Our pug morale is devastated, they only care about karma and XP.
You will see things like 40 players leaving the blob to capture the sentry, or chase 1 poor roamer til the other side of the map.

At least when we get our s**t together and blob properly we can do things like what we did on Friday and Saturday where we holded our keeps(EB & Home) for 2 hours while constantly getting attacked by both servers.

Overall its not a problem related to servers, it is about full day coverage(WvW population) and lack of organized guilds.

Have fun everybody, try to look for the fun fights and nvm the ppt, most of the time we know the winner on friday.

Underworld blobs a few times, but it is just on one map(and most of the time we are still losing).

I suppose you didn’t had the chance to see what other servers do, and I think you are DZ because FR blobs x3 times more than UW and on multiple borderlands(for many more hours)

Any Fix for our Very high "server size"

Today we had a Wintersday event , organized by some people on the server. LA was almost full but guess what. many old friends from other servers came and even with this no overflow was created.
I will double type it: Today we gathered for a big give away event, people from other servers came also and we didn’t have an overflow

Why would this be an indicator of anything? The majority of the population of any server isn’t aware of “gatherings” or events. Not to mention that LA’s map cap is unusually large and thus a bad metric.

That was just an example. LA is the biggest and most common city in the game, if you want to get a population sample this is the place to go.

I highlighted the day of a big “happening” that was advertised for weeks, many players from other server(that had moved recently) announced their arrival that specific day.

For the first time in months we had seen LA so overpopulated, but it was still not full. A few months back with every living story we had quite a few overflows, the day the leauge started things became bad, and it was getting worser day by day.

Today if you guest to our server, you will only find a small train on Kessex hills, an empty frostgorge, empty Orr, locked temples for weeks, locked instances, outnumber buff on 3/4 wvw maps and hardly enough population on the 4th.

These are all on prime time. Now if this doesn’t tell you anything about our “Very High” population, then what is ?

The system that is used to define the server populations is vastly broken. On a VERY HIGH population server, at least on prime time, there should be some kind of server progress, doesn’t matter if it is on PvE WvW or SPvP, but there is none.

First 2 nights of the match up(reset + saturday) was really fun, not because of the points we have but because of those great fights inside our keeps(loot bagz~ )

Last night was a nightmare, it reminded me of the leagues(20vs50) and today will probably be the same.

Krall, OP is not talking about WvW-players(as individuals) ,he is talking about actual ranks.

E.G. :
If you are on server with rank 18 it takes X ammount of gems to transfer to the server with rank 17. If you want to transfer to 16, then it takes even more than the rank 17. But if you want to go to rank 19 then it’s free.

Sounds pretty simple.

Also when we talk about WvW population then we talk about the number of All individuals that patricipate on WvW during 24hrs. SFR & Piken have diffrent numbers on WvW during a full day than FS & FR.

  1. If a server is “high population,” it’s not dead or dying — that number is largely based on current and recent logons (and you can see this by noticing that the status changes over the course of the week).

That is absolutely false.
Underworld has been a Very High population server since the first days, it has never ever changed, altho it is almost a ghost server(even on prime time).

Today we had a Wintersday event , organized by some people on the server. LA was almost full but guess what. many old friends from other servers came and even with this no overflow was created.
I will double type it: Today we gathered for a big give away event, people from other servers came also and we didn’t have an overflow

Why do we have to define the WvW player?

The populations are the obvious problem here. Highly populated servers(on papers) which have close to zero activity on game aspects(such as WvW or PvE).

WHY are we considered a Very High server while we have the active population of a medium server?

When it comes to WvW the problem is not reflected very well(if not at all) on the NA servers.
Just go on MOS and see how much more balanced the matches are on NA compared to EU.

On NA there are 2/9 match ups which are getting steamrolled by 1 server(and even on these 2 the diffrence is reversable).

Now check the EU. Only 2/9 match ups look balanced which means 7/9 matches on EU are getting steam rolled by 1 server.

You don’t have to be a genius to understand that something is wrong.
77% of the match ups are balanced on NA, while only 22% on EU.

ANet just bring yourselves over to some lower ranked EU servers so you can understand what unpleasant WvW means.

Also look at how healthier the rankings are on NA and how bad they look on EU.

I really didn’t wanted to take place in this thread, call it server pride, call it stubbornness that we could fix the server ourselves, or that the problem will get fixed the more we fall on rank. The more time passes I see that UW is dying.

Yes, a whole server dying, not just the WvW population, the whole server.
ANet you really should pay attention to this issue, because it is much deeper than what it seems.

Let’s start from the basics:

The thing is at this point i feel that the very high population is not a list of active players but people who have played on uw and quit.

I am not sure for the above, but I do believe it. Here on UW we have some signs that will make you believe how the server populations work and that is with the total number of accounts, not the “active” ones.

Few signs:
* Not so important sign about general UW population *
On prime time we have a maximum of 80-100 players total on every borderland & eternal battlegrounds. Off prime time that number becomes 40-50 max.

That is a 100 people playing WvW on one server, out of which 70 to 80% consists of mostly small organized guilds.

“UW is a PvE server!” Such a lie.
UW has contested temples for more than a month.
CoF is locked a month now, it might open once in a month or so.
World bosses are dying on UW. Most people guest to desolation for PvE.
We haven’t had an Overflow on big patches since Scarlet invansions.
LA had no overflow for a couple of months now. LA looks empty on prime time.

We have had various “exodus” on UW. Small ones, big ones. This week ,as stated above, 5 more guilds left UW and guildless people leave every day.

I am not sure how many or which are the server with the same problem as UW, but it doesn’t change the fact that this IS a problem.

I don’t know the solution, maybe make server transfers based on WvW rank, maybe merge servers or clean inactive accounts from the population count. One thing I know is that UW is slowly and painfully dying.
It is not just the server that dies, it is the fun that comes with playing the game.
Ghost WvW and ghost PvE will only make more people(the ones that can’t afford a transfer , like big guilds) unhappy.

Our zerg almost stomped that ranger and we thought he glitched by the power of our 15 man awesomeness, but then :

Ninja skillz.
Both the engi and the ranger used speed hacks, only the ranger used fly hack.

When we got into ROS BL I saw the orange swords inside your bay and I thought it would be a good 3-way battle. Turns out it was more than good

You guys did some nice defending, wiped us after a long fight and shut that door up our faces, so we went back to UW to turn it red again ^^

I want to thank you all, this week was the most enjoyable for me since we had close to no action the past 6 weeks.

We will probably keep blobbing with the first chance and be DL 2.0 ,it looks like its the only way to win some loot bags and have fun, our 15 man guild groups are no match for the 25-60 man groups we found in Silver League(hell sometimes not even our blob is).

Blobbing. Blobbing and arrow carts it is.

We will probably fight again the next weeks(both FR & FS).
I believe you guys on FS will rise rapidly on the ratings, maybe FR will start climbing also.

There are many scenarios, the commander could be a solo commander(we have like 3-4 of these guys on uw).
They just tag up an round around the map taking sentries and auto attacking gates on the other side of the map.

Anyway , spawn camping by pugs is not a big problem, most of the time you can push them with half other pugs or just take a diffrent exit. It becomes a problem when a guild group of 20-30 is spawncamping, which makes them pretty much unkillable unless you bring a medium sized blob.

End season party sounds nice, not sure if SM flipping could work tho.
What about a lvl 1 asura death party?

We usually have a commander during prime time(sometimes not even then), while many people have tags almost nobody uses it.

It is not easy to command when you know that you will most probably get stomped. Over and Over.

UW have nothing to celebrate, it was 7 weeks of nightmare… i’m glad its over and now i just want to forget.

UW will celebrate the season finale, because we survived it and we are stronger than when we started.
Our community gets closer, some nights we make blobs of 70+ and stomp everything in sight(it doesn’t last long but it feels better than getting stomped 24/7) .

The last 10 days, even when we get stomped and after a long time, we ARE having fun.

Just like tonight, 24:00 GMT and I did some late night commanding(2:00 AM here),we kept flipping every keep on our BL with 6 omega golems, wiped few FS that tried to defend Hills and made a last stand against 50 FR in our garrison , we managed to kill over half their zerg before we fall and they outnumbered us almost 3 to 1 . (I love mass ACs vs big zergs).

Many of the guilds that have left us are smacking their heads to rocky walls and start to bleed out(not that this makes me happy) but some of us are here today, since day 1.

Don’t feel pity for UW, we will get strong again and come back for you !

P.S.1 Thank you FR & FS for all the loot bags, even if you guys drop almost nothing good.

P.S.2 Billion arrow carts next time.

My turn.

We don’t have the coverage of any other Silver league servers, hell even on prime time our population is low.

We don’t have big WvW guilds that can pull events with 40-50 man zergs, like most of the Silver league servers

Getting steamrolled every week is driving more and more people away from WvW and not just PvErs.

We would possibly get steamrolled by Drakkar or RoS too.

I don’t know how bad all these things sound, or how bad some UW players thing they are, but I know one thing.
There are 4-5 guilds that are still on UW, trying to give you all good fights with all the bodies they can find and they will do everything to survive and keep the moral high.

When I command on UW borderlands I try to make it fun, and serious comes after that. Fun always comes first.

This is a promise, after the first season finishes and we get some air to breath UW will get back on it’s feet and rise again like we do every time(until we fall again but w/e), and then my fellow enemy servers, you will feel the power of Underworld once again

Mini Map Cardinal Points

One suggestion that it could help a lot and with many things in the game.

Add North , East , South and West to the mini map.

These are the 4 points on the horizon that show us direction and we don’t have them yet on our minimap.

For some people knowing where East and West is, might be pretty simple, but it was always a problem for me(and I suppose many others).

When I get to do Tequatl event and I am asked to defend the North West battery, I ask myself if that is right or left.

When one of the keeps on my borderlands is getting attacked and the commander wants to know which direction the attack is taking place, I can’t say for sure if it is west or east.

These are just 2 examples that could help many people with coordination and the suggestion is pretty simple.

SPGR is still kicking, we might not be a WvW guild but since there’s no hope to play for the points we will look for the good fights out there for the rest of our days.

Good job to PunK that Punked us tonight @ fs bl, your melee train wrecked us and then came the disconnects. Our 30 man “zerg” can’t compare to your 60.

Hey guys, that was a magnificent reset in terms of fights on the FSP home, we wiped FSP and FR (and vice versa)many times, even when it was 1 to 2. Sweet loot bags.

Special thanks to PunK that got Punked quite a few times tonight, getting in and our of bay was annoying but we managed to get quite some loot bags off you !

Altho UW won’t be strong in terms of points the next 49 days, we will try to give everything on our fights and we won’t give up!(the few of us that did stay).
