It’s not a winning strategy. You know why? Two scenarios.
1. Not everyone who wants to complete the puzzle is an active WWW participant. I go to Eternal, attempt to complete the puzzle, loot the chest, then leave. I do the same thing in Borderlands. If people are wasting their time camping in there, I just leave anyway. This means YOU are costing YOUR team a potential combatant (You could be helping the actual fight above) in order to deny someone who wasn’t going to fight anyway. I don’t really care about the blueprints, I’m just gathering badges from the chest to acquire the 500 badge legendary thingy (plus some orich to sell from Eternal)
2. Mutual destruction vs. Mutual gain. Instead of camping, your team could grab their blueprints and head back to the real fight. What happens when you get camped in return? It’s really a question of “should everyone gain blueprints faster” vs “should everyone gain blueprints slower”.
You don’t need to get to every chest. Just your homeworld’s borderlands one. Any of the other 3, unless your server is very much in power, would likely not be worth the time. Camping is not relevant to the discussion in any case.
Involving dozens of other people takes a lot more effort than repeatedly grinding something yourself. If you can convince a whole bunch of people to just give you their blueprints, I don’t see it as much different than asking them to just send you the money to buy it from the vendor.
Also, I suspect the blueprint-dropping is either a bug or an oversight that will be corrected, and yes, I was already aware of it.
The difference is that doing it yourself via new characters circumvents the 24 hour limit on chest opening, but having them be soulbound prevents it.
Because you could endlessly create new characters, join WWW matches, complete the puzzle, receive blueprints, bank them, log out, and delete the character.
Hay look. another kittenwho thinks a vidya game makes him a rock star
What, you mean like Golanta and Klovan Gully?
People are justkitten and charge endlessly where a bunch of other people are dying already. Suggesting conspiracy IS being TOO generous. I mean, I tried for like an hour the other morning to get people to simply attack a supply camp or something when TC was siege-camping our spawn point while they controlled the whole map, but they wanted to naked-zerg ballista over and over again instead, or stand at the edge of invul and watch.
Because one person starting a thread obviously makes every participant from both servers, all of whom regularly read this forum, adhere to its suggestion.

As long as you can build the exit right at the edge of a cliff
constructable portals!
yep I agree. reset the map and give a big point boost for ‘winning’ that map.
I wouldn’t call it a waste; this was during morning recaps so the guy who piloted it, no-good lame-o that he is, got to take it to at least 3 towers in a row.
don’t let them take my golem!
You must have missed the part where TC owned ALL of EB and had about 10 ballistae/arrows/catapult parked outside our Maguuma gate. We certainly retook our share when we could.
Paranoid conspiracy theorists need to just hush
I’m guessing someone posted then deleted. But yea, you don’t get the override on a golem. Quite disappointing. I tried whispering the guy but of course, got no response.
Short and sweet:
Morning crew starts showing up in Eternal, we cap our first supply camp and I drop an Alpha Golem, thinking I’ll be all cool while we take tower after tower.
Only some random @#$# from a zerg guild immediately hops in it and I have no option to take control like you can with the stationary siege.
WHY?
