Ranger’s are fast.

Yes they are, however, they should also not be zooming past me in an irregular blinking fashion while I’m running next to them with +50% movement speed in stealth. I was scouting their movement patterns and watched them take camps similarly. I’ve seen it before and I’m not oblivious to that behavior.

ANet keeps adding more and more farming events… you can find out this week who on your server is hardcore WvW that is for sure.

We don’t need this week to find out. We’ve known for a long time that our DH WvW attendance drops to garbage every 2 weeks. We expect it every two weeks actually.

That’s because you attack me only when I’m already 50% HP from something else. Be glad I let you hit me for 30% more of my HP before I try to recover. I hope you enjoyed the multiple spectre finishes I gave you as much as I did.

^ You must be that Guildless Devona’s Rest Raider that likes to jump us when we are fighting other people or NPCs lol. I know my SE thief buddy hates facing you coz he has trouble beating you, haha!

For some fights it doesn’t really matter how poorly I play or how good the other person plays the fight is pretty much won by the build alone. However, it’s not unbeatable, of course. So far, there have been three 1v1 losses to a [PD] mesmer, [SE] thief, and [DHE] thief.

Ahh! You had my hopes up! I thought I finally made it to someone’s build video…I watched the whole thing and was looking for our fights, but the ones on your video are only your wins, lol! Thanks for the shoutout though!

I was 1v1 with the [GEN] ranger…the guardian just came in to put the stealth trap right away lol. It’s all good though because I ended up killing the same ranger (2x) and the guardian not long after outside Titanpaw. I evaded their 2nd stealth trap there.

That’s too bad you are sad. We just haven’t met in the battlefield then. I always 1v1 when it’s in front of me.

I’ll be in WvW sometime after I get my dailies and those new achievement points.

Personally, I’m an objective-based tunnel-vision solo-roamer…and I don’t attack a person on my route to my next objective unless they attack me first…I always let them get 1st hit in. Heck, I’ve died to several groups protecting a Pack Dolyak wherein I don’t even attack the defenders…I die trying to just kill the dolyak, haha! I don’t care about dying anyway.

The only times I really go for 1st hit on an invader is when I haven’t completed the “Kill 10 invaders” daily. These are also the only times uplevels are kill-on-sight when I roam. Once I get my 10 kills for daily, I revert back to the former philosophy of next-objective-tunnel-vision, hehe.

However, occasionally, I will fail to resist my urge to troll people…which happens sometimes. And more often, it is to keep several people frustrated and busy trying to catch me while my server is attacking something important. Aka: if you see me trolling, it’s a very good idea to watch your map.

finger dexterity and hand eye coordination are the key skills one must most likely possess in order to competently play a video game. being able to identify what is happening (is about to happen) on your screen and reacting with an appropriate response, be it a counter/block/evade/interrupt/CC/kite/etc. is a skill as well.

so, tell me again how, based on this definition, playing a game (video game or otherwise) does not take some amount of skill(s).

Fine, ok…I offended a fellow Darkhavener somehow while defending our server against the other servers poking fun at us…so be it…I will revert it to “useful skill”, wherein usefulness of the skill is relative and pretty much opinion-based. And everything I’ve expressed so far is in fact my opinion.

It is my opinion that playing a videogame is a use-LESS skill and not worth bragging about. A person bragging about skill in a videogame holds no meaning or value in my mind.

I am able to manipulate light with lenses to see the microscopic structures of the eyes, adnexa, and retina and I can use that information to diagnose a disease or lack there of. That, to me, is a useful skill. And I can actually brag about that. Now, I also play GW2, but you won’t ever see me bragging about my videogame skills since you already know I don’t consider it so. That’s just me though and that is also my opinion on this topic of video game skills. And I say that none of us have videogame skills. I clearly failed at deflating some nerd-rage directed at us by adding more to a fellow DHer.

If you are still offended, I would like you to redirect your energy towards those that say Darkhaven players, in general, have no skill. They are talking about you in their generalized blanket statement about the server we share.

I also don’t care that we have a ~30k lead…“skill” did not do that. Coverage did. And winning a week’s WvWvW match-up is ultimately inconsequential in the grand scheme of things and life in general.

I’m more annoyed when there are more than 2-3 commanders per map…each map should have a commander tag limit at a given time

DH has a lot of terribad commanders. I just hope they are learning from their mistakes.

This is a lot like the BP/SBI/NSP matchup. DH is the NSP of this matchup.

So, for science, I tried placing an AC right @ the Aldon’s tower door and another AC inside to be my dummy target….just normal gameplay. The screenshot function doesn’t save my AC’s crosshairs so I took a photo with my phone to show how far I can target with the AC range buff using points. Whaddayaknow, that gap above the gate DOES work!

PS: the clearer photo is an actual game screenshot where I ran in to see the arrows on the ground.

Here’s a dragon’s tooth from my view too. I suppose that space on top of the gate is the key. Cool!

PS: On the Palace topic, I don’t think he liked it that I took him out twice in a row. He likes to hide behind supply camp NPCs, but in the open field, he’s fairly manageable.

Would that kind of a shake-up this week change the servers’ colors for next week? Wouldn’t that be a nice way to get the “fair-weather-players” of all 3 servers back to WvW to get the POIs and Vistas they’ve been locked out of for months?

IoJ’s prime-time has the ability to dictate whether DH or SF would finish first, but I feel they are more than capable of dictating if they themselves would finish first. On that note, SF is at first…go get ’em! lol

Would be nice if your own server could see your WvWvW rank even if it was only viewable by clicking on your name. Right now, it’s PvE and s/tPvP titles that show.

I do like it that titles are hidden in WvWvW now unless you click specifically on a person – less clutter.

lol, this thread doesn’t fail to disappoint when it comes to drama and QQing about people who live in the parts of the world that happen to only be able to play when DR sleeps.

I’m lucky to be able to play in NA primetime, so, I don’t get to PvDoor very much.

Just to lighten things up a little bit…here’s a funny that happened to me while trying to neutralize DR’s Hylek influence. I went to Shadow Shot a hylek but a cage was between it and I…the game glitched and I got trapped inside the cage, haha! The only way out was to be “out of combat” and waypointing. An up-leveled DR Ranger found me, fired at me a few times and could have killed me for easy WxP and badges, but for some reason, he went away and I was able to waypoint the second I got out of combat.

Here I am trapped in the Hylek cage…
