Guild Wars 2

A large portion of the playerbase have been waiting for a new Legendary Longbow. As the likelihood of this coming out anytime in the next year seems nonexistant, what about finding a way to make this awesome looking new bow be skinned over a longbow??
I know there may be some restrictions but I would imagine it would be minuscule in comparison to the work of making a whole new legendary which doesnt sound like will ever actually happen. At least this way we get something.
Thoughts?

I love that you will be able to change the stats on Legendaries. And I also love that we finally have more insight on how to obtain a precursor. Now it feels much more possible to have more than 1 Legendary. Thank you!

Might we be getting this scavenger hunt any time soon?

Dear ArenaNet,
Very simply put, the day ArenaNet finally comes out with their Precursor scavenger hunt is the day that thousands and thousands of players will flock back to Guild Wars 2. So many people left heartbroken at the hours of CoF path 1 grinding it would cost to get a precursor. The living story has been truly amazing, but participating in it would be so much more fun if you had a Legendary to show off as you did it.
You have been hinting at this since January. Please release it soon.

Well, they already have a solution. It’s called a precursor scavenger hunt. And it will be around hopefully some time in the next few months. They have mentioned it many times. It will most likely be a pretty decent collection of stuff and hopefully not a big gold sink. They have mentioned having people working on it since last year. So, my opinion would be: Get everything else you need except the precursor, wait for the scavenger hunt, and in the mean time just play the game. Grinding 700g out of CoF sounds horrid.

I do believe it may depend on your rank. I ranked to lvl 5 and only got about 5s and 3 BoH. Could it be that the higher rank you are, the better loot you get from ranking up?

So, 2 quotes: “you can earn precursors as rewards via new reward systems taking advantage of our open persistent world.” and “we’ll try and find some other places to add a chance to get them”.
I’m gonna just say that the first quote is null and I’m assuming by the 2nd quote that they will simply have more precursors drop from the big Events they have planned.
