Getting, lags, rubberbanding, disconnects etc. Impossible to play anything with a teameffort, dungeons, tPvP, www. Happens at all hours but is alot worse at primetime.

You have a 280x, that’s your problem.
Alt tabbing out and back in removes the artifacts.
Also underclocking the ram a bit usually works as well.

What you really want to do is rma the card.

The HYNIX ram used on the 1st batch of r9 280x’s was replaced with new ELPIDA ram, the new ram can handle the overclocks, the old can’t.
If you rma it you’ll get a new one with the new ram.

Yeah that is how I have been dealing with it, alt tabbing out and back removes it. Thing is I did RMA the card but I got the card back with them saying there is nothing wrong with my card.

That is exactly how it looks on my screen.
Maybe it’s some software isssue. Or some setting I have to turn of/on ingame or in AMD catalyst control center. I dunno. Would be nice when buying a new computer if Everything just worked =/ but that’s maybe a bit to much to ask ^^

One thing you can try, but might not work:

Go into your windows device manager, roll back the driver for your graphics card, and then update the driver for your graphics card to the latest version again. See if that helps.

Also, is anything on your machine overclocked? Guild Wars 2 can get buggy with overclocked hardware. Doesn’t always like it.

You could also run a -repair on the client to make sure it’s not an issue with a corrupt data file(s).

Otherwise, not sure what else you could do. It’s hard to determine what the error might be without some sort of error log/report.

I’ve already done all that. In my first post I describe all the things I’ve done. My GFX is clocked from the fabric but I did Clock down the card didnt help. How do I go about to get a log/report?

Ive had it since I bought this computer. Did not have it on the computer before this one, been playing gw2 on both of em.

Then your GPU was delivered defective. Demand a replacement.

I did that, sent the card back, they stresstested the card and could not get it to show any artifacts. They believed that it could be my RAM but i did memtest and that showed that they work just fine to.

Hi there. I got this problem: http://i57.tinypic.com/2qtyce1.jpg. I get this all the time, but when i tPvP it drives me crazy. Makes it unplayable sometimes. What I’ve tried to do to fix it is RMA the graphiccard. They said theres nothing wrong with my card.

They told me to check my RAMmemories, which i did with memtest86+. Theres nothing wrong with them either. Ive tried repairing Gw2. Ive tried diffrent drivers for my card. Im currently running the latest stable drivers.

I have not clocked anything. Though i did test to Clock down the GFX but that didnt help either. I have checked my temps with CPU-Z and GPU-Z its all good. Why do i get these artifacts!? :C Theres no pattern either. It can start as soon as I get ingame or I can play for an hour then it flips out.

Oh and i did not build the computer myself. I chose the parts and www.inet.se built it for me. So that excludes human error from my part. Ofcourse inet could have done something wrong, but they said they test every computer before even sending them. Should have shown up then that something is wrong. I dunno Im just sad…

Hope theres someone out there that can help me fix this problem.

Only thing missing is a way to save builds, so you can easily switch between dungeonbuild, wwwbuild, farmingbuild and whatever you might wanna call them. Buildtemplates ftw!

That happens to me to. Also have a 280×. Ive been reading about alot of people having trouble with their 280x cards. Im thinking bad card and might return it. I did downclock mine though and it helped alot. But didnt make the problem go away just alot less frequent.

Im getting the same problem. The thing is two days ago i was playing gw2 on my laptop everything is working fine except the laptop is old so i have to play on lowest settings. So i buy a new computer! After downloading/intstalling gw2 (almost fell asleep waiting) i try it out with my new computer (at this point im like 10 years old again at christmas eve) and discover this gamebreaking problem! Ruins the whole game if the mouse looses focus from time to time. No more tpvp for me :C Why is it that on my laptop my mouse works fine but on my stationary it looses focus!? same mouse kittenit! ^^

Get the CL9 timings on the memory, plus go with 2×4GB vs 1×8GB.

The GTX 770 is overkill for this game but if you play other PC games, like all those free ones you would be getting with it, then it’s fine.

Everything else looks fine. Should run as well as can expect with current technology.

I did that, then i get forwarded to a page to log into my gw2 account, even though im already loged in. Where can i see if the accounts are linked?

How do I do it? Do I have to have the same emails on both gw1 and gw2? I tried the linking button in My account, didnt work, is it because the emails are diffrent?
