I cant still login via a character creation… Can you guys really fix this rather than just say its fixed?

The issue is not just in EU. Its in the US too, I am having the login issues when creating a new toon.

I am having the same issues. I JUST deleted one of my toons and tried to remake one, and I get this code. I logged in to see if my net was just having issues and its not.

What is causing this issue ANet?

Not sure if this had been asked before, but is there going to be a cap or a ‘reset’ of the gold to gem conversion?

Or is this just going to keep getting higher as to force us to buy gems via real money?

I have joined this guild, and by far a great experiance so far!!
We just did some guild missions, some RP events and (about to) do some fractals! Great community and overall just great people to hang out with!

So this is getting ridiculous. 4 days now. ANet, really? Is it really that hard to fix this? If so can you let us know?! All we want is some sort of feed back. Something showing that you are actually caring about this issue and actually trying to fix it.

I am seeing the days on how long this has been posted, 3 days ago so far. I have submitted a ticket too.

ANet can you give us a status please? As much as we would love you to stop what your doing and fix this like… 5 years ago, could you give us an update?

So it seems I got as far as the loading screen into the game world. And there it just got stuck.

So I can log in, but I can’t get passed the character screen.

I am having the same issue. Just submitted a ticket.
At first I was unable to buy.. but then test it out with a lesser value, and it when through, then tried it again, and went through again. (tried to reach 50 bucks) Then tried once more, and then it cut me off completely.
I have not bought gems (other than the two today) in a few days, so I am not sure if there is a limit on how many times you can buy or what not. What are we doing wrong?

Oh and my ticket is 130206-000238.

Same, when I asked my guild they stated that they could only see my username and not my email. Now its happening each time I log in. Good to know there are other encountering this issue.

Again this is a suggestion, not a ‘he was botting to lets play a blame game!’.

Question. Does ANet even look at these?

Besides they informed me to post it here after I submitted it as a question… Would like for them to at least give me that.

Again, its a suggestion for them to review. I appreciate everyone’s opinion but there is an issue with the actual process. Yes, sure there is a ‘repeal’ process but that is AFTER the ban. I am sure it would be different if you where the one banned for something you did not due and never given a chance to explain or at least ask why. Just simply “We have found out you bot, so your banned. If you feel this is wrong you can complain about it and we might take off the ban. Thank you, have a nice day!”

At least give a warning email, or an imgame mail from a GM saying “You have been tagged as a possible botter and here are the steps to take you off this hit list. Respond or you will be banned until further notice.”

Just able to be just and not extreme. Again it is just a suggestion I would like for them to look at and possibly respond to this post. I am sure I would like their input on their ‘actual process’ or at least some sort of statement.

It has come to my attention, as a concerned player to this game, that the Banning procedure seems to be… extreme. Now I understand, one sour apple will ruin it for the rest. But What I am asking is to rethink how you ban people based on the assumption on ‘botting’. There have been three members in my guild, and me being a guild officer and of of them being too, it has affected the guild. From what I understand is you guys monitor ‘repetitive’ actions and reports from other players. If this is true then it seems that maybe you need to improve on this. Taking a report from ‘Johnny’ is not enough to ban someone. If that is the case then having anyone ‘blame’ anyone for ‘something’ would just be silly. Instead of taking that drastic action, maybe you should investigate further before you pull the trigger on banning just anyone. Now I am not telling you how to do your job. I am merely a player that is concerned on the this process is conducted. I have guild members now afraid of leveling thinking they will be banned due to ‘looks like a botter so ban him’ if tells you anything on the extreme measures. Also I know that if -I- where to get banned for botting it would not make sense. If you look at my account history I have spent a lot of money on buying gems. So if a player gets banned and has a large history on that, why would that make sense? It does not.
To sum up, please rethink your strategy on this procedure if in-fact this is the way that you do things. Please do not keep banning innocent players when there could be a better system to ensure that real botters and other horrible players be banned for good.
I would like you to respond to this. This is not a rhetorical statement.

I have seen that ‘line’ at a lot of places. Mainly in the asura city. Lots of lines. Where do they come from? where do they lead? The mystery remains!!

Also they are already planning on making a new race… the Kodan. Not sure on time, but I know that they are planning for it…. says the rumors.

I have to say No on this as well. I have been asking people on gear and I am sure that they like to not be stalked by someone as they ‘inspect’ them. Some have responded and some have not. Its a good way of keeping the mystery along with privacy… If you want to know where I got it you can ask me. I am not sure if everyone else is doing that too…

And people do that in my guild, once an officer invites someone they always introduce them. I am sure other guilds do the same. But I would like a friend notification though. For the most part both parties dont know whos online until they end up checking the friends list, most of the time I am busy with events (as they are too) that they forget to check it.

More weapons mean more diversity which gives players more options. Having more options lead to more creative play which is always a good thing. A drawback to more weapons is balancing them but that can be handled. That being said it would be a great idea to slowly introduce more weapons into the game.

I agree, added in slowly after time. They keep adding in more stuff, the game is still new but its slowly being filled up.

Most of the time I see /map being spammed for certain dungeons. I guess here is where guilds come in? But that would be interesting to find some sort of feature for that. But like everyone else is saying it might be an issue or not. There are no real ‘roles’ which makes this game very unique. But who knows they might have something similar in store for us.

I would not say its moronic, but I really don’t know why there is a huge issue on greeting. Either way the thread is now diverting its path. But seems there are more people passionate about ignoring others in an MMO than socializing. Yes its a game and anyone can play how they want….um because they paid for it. But the strong opinion on why not to greet and such over a suggestion on notifications makes me think that people would rather be ignored and left alone until they are ready to be communicated. It is silly to me but this makes me think that the suggestion is another.. discomfort for those few people that have a very strong opinion on this ‘greeting’ issue. But at least it is good for ANet to read on this. It…is just a suggestion.

I have seen somewhere on the internet that they are already planning for it, I can’t find the site now, but they had some icons showing name, race, and gender change. Its all via gems. I just hope its not expensive… But I also wonder when they will implement it and if they are going to go how the articles are saying. Would be cool to change some of my toons to another race.

Agreed, would be cool. SPECIALLY for the those awesome screen shots of the scenery or looking at other toons (Roleplay screenshot) or just making GW2 fan movies!

Don’t they already have a LFG system? Not automated but I saw some people with an icon over them showing they are LFG.

Sounds and notifications are going to cause problems with Guilds.

Guilds can have hundreds of people, so that means you can expect one to log in or out pretty much once a minute or more. That is already plenty. But what about if there’s a timed event, like the Lost Shores? You would literally have the game crashing because hundreds of your friends and guildies would be logging in seconds from each other, if not at the same time.

And I know that there’s plenty of people who dislike being greeted when they log in. For some people, greetings are a polite thing to do. For others, they’re a meaningless waste of time. Both sides have their hyperbolas, I’ve seen people quitting guilds because they did not get greeted at all and thought it meant that no one cared, but I have also seen people quitting guilds because they were greeted and found it a waste of their precious time, like they were being dragged to the guild chat.

If that is the case, then why did they join a guild? You don’t NEED a guild in this game. A Guild is a ‘nice to have thing’. I have seen people leave due to not being greeted, but also works with communicating with an officer if the guild is an actual good one. Like it was stated before, other games have done it and there is no issue. Think of it when one of those games have a new expac. that comes out, how many MORE people log in and out and have lag issues.

But I have never heard of ‘greeting’ is a waste of time. My response would be, ‘ok then leave the guild’. Like I said before the guilds are not required in this game at all. You dont need parties other than for dungeons. So if it is a huge bother for those few people that do not like to communicate in a social game… then they might want to look for another game that might suit their needs.

But in the end it is my suggestion that I think is not a new concept. It would be nice for them to implement it, and also give it a selection to choose to ‘allow notification sounds/text’ to be on/off. So you don’t feel you need to hear the ‘ding’ each time logs on and off if you are in a huge guild (like stated on another post).

If this has already been suggested… then I am reiterating it again.

Just as the title states… Notifications.

I know if you have friends a note will populate the chat stating ‘XXXX has logged on.’ But there is no sound. And there is no notification what so ever for guild members.

What if there is a global notifications for things like this? “XXXX has joined the guild/party.” And a sound plays. “XXXX has logged on/off.” With a sound after that. “Friend XXXX has logged on/off.” And a sound after that. Maybe? Possibly?

Thanks ANet, I know a lot of us like to ask for a lot, but I am NOT asking you to stop what you are doing, just a suggestion that would be cool to have in the future. Love you guys!

I also saw the more you run it the more it depreciates on the rewards in the end. Which saddens me, but its pretty fun doing a dungeon that ANYONE can do, unlike other MMOs where you have to be maxed level to even get to enjoy the holiday content. Thank you Arena.net!!
