From my Experience with Maguuma So Called Roamer’s is when its 1vs1 they start running for the hills or just run into they find guildies they turn on you right away once they out number you.

My Question back to BG Roamers, why do we only have to look for you next to your tower to find you? why are you not “roaming”?

Because the maps are usually full of our towers with 1 – 2 Mag per Bl ?

after they got ganked they disappeared. I ended up AFKing in tower and logged out most the time

But it is only one guild and it is only 2 hours, really no reason just for whole server giving up trying all together.

The impact of losing all upgrades every day while you have no one to defend is pretty significant.

It’s not like they don’t have the people to hold stuff in this time zone at all. They used to actually winning this brief time zone with IRON and stay-up late SEA. The coming of ZDs only really just tip the scale towards BG, not completely dominates like right now. The problem is ever since SoR lose week 2 to a dramatic come back, they are completely demoralized and people just stop trying to put in effort to cover this brief time zone. And now it becomes a vicious cycle, no one tries so you lose everything, which discourage more people from trying….

Bottom line is you got bigger to ‘tip the scales’. You are now suggesting your competition just work harder because you want good match-ups. So you want a good match as long as the scales are tipped in your favor, because if they were tipped in someone else’s favor you could have just worked harder right?

Maybe instead of playing in a decided match they are spending all their time recruiting and raising money for a warchest, it is the GW2 way.

if my memory is correct. This guy ( Jax ) is from Mag not SoR. No point of talking about T1 stuffs / drama with him. He likely has no clue.

I can’t help but wonder about the frightful number of posts this thread would have had, had it been Maguuma in the place of SoS last week back when SoR was losing it’s mind on the forums.
The fact that you are at almost 700 posts just from BG and Mag, it quite astounding.
I’m looking forward to the BG reaction when Maguuma declares victory based on their superior roaming.

I know we can all never be friends, but it’s important to consider “roaming” from the point of view of both Mag and BG…

When it comes to roaming on the big 3, you’re in constant fear of getting zerged over, or at least dealing with a couple of adds. As such, a lot of t1 roamers run tankier builds that have better sustain and more defensive mechanics. Unfortunately we don’t have the luxury of running as glassy as Mag wishes we did.

If you want to go on and on about how your build from two metas ago is more skillful, that’s fine. We honestly don’t care. Go ahead and cripple yourself in the spirit of your guild’s definition of skill. That’s your prerogative. Just don’t blame us for your losses when you refuse to adapt.

From my experience so far your groups are mostly tank warriors and zerker everything else. And also immobalize/cc spam.

btw do you have any blob guild that love open field like IRON ?

I have a tough luck so far …. when i eventually got in the map … i counldn’t find any mag zerg / blob at all …. all i could see are a few roamers that got pushed by BG pugs to their spawn camp… and game over. ( ofc we outnumbered )

it’s actually funny though.. when this just started a year ago … ppl complaint about wvw = range classes only lool

now you don’t really face any long range anymore except some mid range.

Stacking? Does one guild fill up an empty timeslot make a server stacked? If IRON does not make SOR stacked, why ZDs does? Afterall ZDs primetime is only two hours into IRON primetime like most of the IRON members reminded us over and over again. Pretty fair right?

Reason why people complain about stacking is that it’s an organized WvW guild going into a timezone with literally little to no competition.

1. - BG already got HB, RK, COIN… Are all 3 guilds combined that pitiful that they are not a match for IRON and AFTL? As for HB, one of their commander or even leader wasn’t happy with move as he/she saw that it was going to ruin the competition stating that ZD should’ve went to another server with more needs in that timezone. I guess HB does have a few good players who really prefers fights and competitive nature. During reset, of course there’s going to be fights… But as the week progresses, there’s going to be less and less.
2. - BG already won the first tier 1 match. Do they really need additional guilds when all 3 servers were so close in scores? Common sense, which a lot of us don’t have would have said no need unless you did not win the match.

ZDs actually started logging in about Midnight ET, fielding 10 people to walk yaks in BGBL. It’s a big change because this was previously uncontested that a single thief could disrupt supply caravans headed to Garry.

That additional manpower creates a very effective havoc group for that hour, and I admit that they are more skilled and coordinated than any other permanent BG guild.

They’re a great addition to your team, don’t lose them at the end of the season.

How do you know? We haven’t even had proper fights. But we do know that permanent BG guilds are much more lackluster and skilled compared to ZDs.

You might want to hold off on chest-thumping about your new guild. Your rent-a-season contract with them will be over in a few weeks and you’ll find yourself with a server that hasn’t grown any better because you were carried for an entire season.

We made our Chinese friends in Jade Quarry a promise that Aggression will be staying on Jade Quarry for the long run this time, longer than our longest stay on any server previously (Sea of Sorrows) during our PPT days. The rumors upset our friends and I just wanted to verify that Aggression is going to stay on Jade Quarry possibly up to our last day on Gw2.

Well, slavery was abolished quite a while ago, so even if they got paid to move, don’t think there’s an obligation of them to stay. Depending on what was agreed I’d say the right thing to do would be to just give the gold back.
You can’t blame them for rage-quitting the queues, don’t think anyone was expecting achievement hunters to come out that hard, even though it seems to be improving (they prolly found some new shiny item they gotta farm for already)

Every thread i have read here. All of them say how long queue in EB is. Have you actually queue other maps ?. Most of hardcore wvwer dont really care which map they go. It kinda makes me think these threads are from pve er.

Defending is terribly boring, especially after the Ram Mastery making it tougher to defend than ever. I’m not willing to camp in a keep and wait for people to come after it but if I am near a keep that is being hit already, I’ll jump in it. Bottom line is, I play WvW for fun. Not only is defending extremely boring, it gives way less rewards. Upgrading stuff and patrolling for hours is also incredibly boring. Plus, in enemy borderlands it’s typically better to just drain their stuff instead of trying to defend it depending on the numbers you have and whether or not it looks possible for you to hold it.

You could also complain that people aren’t willing to escort dolyaks often enough. That is one of the most boring things ever and I do not believe in escorting a dolyak even if it’s helpful to my server.

I play the game for fun and it is much more fun to try to cap stuff than to try to defend stuff. Doesn’t matter to me if it’s worse for my server as long as it’s not overwhelmingly bad to the point I’m screwing over my server. If you are trying to help your server by doing all of these things but not having fun then you are wasting your time IMO. It’s a game and you should enjoy it.

Defending is very fun in T1 NA. When you wipe enemy blob over and over again.

It’s weekend ppl playing overtime because they wanna win.

I think the backstab damage is high enough at this point and an increase will probaly in the end result in a bigger nerf. However, if you see warrior’s that have several traits of damage increase by 10% for specific and we only have 5% on dagger dmg, shortbow dmg and dual skills dmg and 5% extra damage for hitting from the side, which is most of the times useles in PvE. We don’t even have a damage increase trait for sword. This looks to me imbalanced, since warrior have greater armor and greater health without any traits, while thiefs have to spec for stealth or evasion with traits

Besides, I think our traits could be improved in another way to increase our survive ability a bit. There are definitely some good traits, but some traits are just totally useless or way too situational.
Afterall I think that the thieves are not that bad too play, but it just seems kinda weird to me.

The schedule for SFR is actually the same in EU — 3 ‘easy’ weeks. We have no idea which server out of the three is the strongest with recent transfers (SoR majorly boosted their EU and OCX) so saying right now that any one server is going to win is just crazy o.o
