I’m having a similar issue- hopefully a solution shows up soon

I actually use a similar build to this (I run 0/20/30/20/0 and perplexity runes, but otherwise identical), and it’s tons of fun. Using runes of grenth is an interesting choice- I like it. Just out of curiosity, why not take sigil of chilling for moar chill duration?

Honestly, I really like these changes, and I think they’re a step in the right direction. I main a mesmer, and I’m really excited about the Mender’s Purity buff, but I’m also happy about the changes to other classes (eles, for example, definitely are in need of a buff). Overall I’m happy, and I think it’s nice to see anet taking the time to listen to it’s players.

There’s a nice variety of mesmer builds once you hit 80- getting there is kind of a pain, but whatever.

I feel like greatsword would make for easiest leveling, but it’s all a matter of taste I suppose.

In terms of traits, grabbing deceptive evasion once you hit level 40 really helps- it’s not necessary depending on your build, but I really found it nice to have when I was leveling,

It’s likely setting up the next patch- don’t think it’s at all connected to Halloween or anything in this patch.

Wow huge props to BG and SoR- that fight we just had at JQ BL Garry was awesome

So WvW takes place in the mists, which to my understanding means that these events have taken place already, or will at sometime in the future. Other than that, is there anything else we know about what’s going on? I know it’s probably a stretch, but is there any lore speculation as to why we’re fighting in WvW?

People were asking for nerfs right after Tequatl was updated, but it still ended up being an incredibly awesome fight- this game needs more challenging content, not less challenging.

Aha I love the ruins- they add a bit a variety, as well as something to do with a small number of people other than raiding camps.

As for leagues, I think that only time will tell. Considering how they haven’t even started yet, I think that calling them “fail” is a bit premature- honestly though I am quite excited to see what they will be like.

Aha yeah that was great- definitely one of the funnest moments I’ve had in this game in a while, especially after all those times we got him to less than 5%. Great job everyone!

Just out of curiosity, do you think it would be worth it to use mantra of recovery? The 10 sec cooldown is fantastic, and channeling could be done while stealthed, so yeah.

Oh and great build- love it.

While the Minstrel was probably in more of a need of a reboot than Rodgort, I was still surprised the Rodgort was overlooked, especially considering that weapons like Quip and the Dreamer got more attention, despite these being impressive already.

Aha this is a great idea! Granted I’m not terribly confident in my build so I probably won’t enter, but this would be a great way for getting the mesmer community together and for showcasing a variety of builds.

I probably spend a majority in WvW, but I do a decent amount of PvE and sPvP on the side.

First of all, thanks a ton for posting this- this build is great and I’ve had a ton of fun with it

Personally, I’ve tried mantra of restoration and it’s been pretty effective- stealth is a great time to meditate, and it only has a 10 second cool down. It’s only an idea, but I’ve had some good results from it

So I just made an elementalist and I play lots of wvw . I know that staff and d/d builds are popular for wvw, but I personally like scepter/dagger for it’s range and I feel like it’s very versatile. Why don’t more people run s/d, and does anyone have a good build I could look at?

This week has been great- haven’t had this much fun in WvW in a while. Both FA and TC have my respect- best of luck in future match-ups!

Yeah people need to calm down with all the conspiracies- we have a few bad apples on SOS but not everyone who makes a mistake is a spy. Are people this paranoid on other servers?

Oh I’ve played WvW plenty. Just curious what people think I should do so I don’t screw up too much.

So I just became a commander, and I was wondering if anyone would like to give me some pointers as to how to command, various strategies, etc. Any help would be great. Thanks!
