Im honestly disappointed an Anet. They seriously nerfed the warrior. The revenant seems to be top dog of all classes, and now warriors aren’t king of dps like they should be. The elite spec just sucks……a ton. I have trouble even killing pve mobs with it. Its just sad to me as a warrior player to see our class become one of the worst.

So, just like many other warriors out there, I have a fully functioning zerker with lvl 80 exotic zerker gear, using the standard pve dps GS/Axe mace build. But now I find I get melted pretty quick in HoT content. How should I be changing up my build. This is the one im using right now. http://intothemists.com/guides/5899-solo_pve_warrior_build

Hello everyone. As your all well aware, HOT has dropped, and there were a lot of changes to the game, some I still don’t fully understand. So, my question is, how do I get the best armor for a level 80 char? It used to be farming dungeons for the armor I wanted. But now it seems there making those less useful. I don’t know if i’ll buy HOT yet. So I won’t have that dlc. But how do I get the good level 80 exotic armor? Fractals, or still dungeons? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

And also, wouldn’t burst mastery be better than heightened focus?

Wouldn’t taking Burst Precision be better in arms, for the 100% critical hit chance, rather than just some condition damage?

Another thing, I hear talk of the strength rune being better than the scholar rune. Opinions?

Thanks guys, I really appreciate the feedback. Would you suggest going for more of a straight glass cannon build then? I was thinking the knight trinkets would give me some extra toughness, but do I need it, or should I just put on berserker all the way?

So I made this build, because I intend to be playing pve a lot with some friends. I’m really the only one who is any good at this game, so I need to have a good build to help them level with dungeons and end game. I guess i’ll try your build out. Would my traits, the way I have mine set up be ok for it? I like having six in defense, because it gives more survivability. And no one has really told me anything about my personal build. Is it good for wvw?

slight improvements, added forceful GS instead of unsuspecting foe. Still looking for opinions.

tht looks like a good build, but im not really a wrod/bleeding kind of guy. Should I put any points into strength? Like go for a zerker build with berserker armor, or is this good for roaming?

Hey, i started playing around with a new build idea i had. I wanted to make a roaming warrior wvw build. So i went 0,4,6,0,4. I’m using GS and Mace/Shield, and knights armor, with berserker trinkets. Idk what kind of runes to use, or if this build is even a viable option.

Any constructive criticism would be appreciated.

Looks like a good build, but would using knights armor be bad on it? Cuz ive already got a full set of it, but no runes.

Hey guys, I might have put one of these up before, but couldn’t find it, so whatever. So as only a few of you know, KIDDING! All of you know, the traits system got a complete overhaul, and I hadn’t even made a good warrior wvw build before the update, so now i’m even more lost, and I read the warrior is getting a huge nerf, so is it even worth playing? But I digress, i need help with a new wvw warrior roaming build. traits, armor, runes, sigils, anything you guys could help me with would be great. I intend on solo roaming mostly, and I have a full set of knights armor from sorrows embrace. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hey, i’m a lvl 80 warrior, and I still don’t know what kind of build to use in wvw. I like roaming, but i don’t know what build to use for it. Ideally something with great damage and survivability. But now with this patch, I feel that finding the best build for me will be impossible, because i’m awful at making builds. If anyone would be willing to help me with making a build, I would really appreciate it. Thanks.

My current build is 20,10,10,10,20. How come no one puts traits into strength in wvw builds? I usually used axe mace with berserker armor and trinkets for my pve dungeon for the full amount of dps. But the mace sheild and gs looks fun, but what traits should i use for good survivability and dps? Also, should i switch to knight armor for extra survivability?

Im looking for a build which could easily transfer from dungeons to wvw. I usually look for small engagements but when i see a large battle i jump in. When i say high dps and suvivability, i mean i want to be able to survive at least one or two engagements, and for dps, idk what the numbers are, im a noob, thats why im posting here lol! Ive seen warrior builds like 0,20,30,0,20 and things that put none into strength. Should i just dump 30 into toughness? Because i heard strength is really good for damage potential.

Hey im looking for a warrior build which could be used for wvw and also dungeon runs. I liked using axe mace pretty much my entire journey to lvl 80, and then tried my own build in wvw, and got killed almost instantly. what im looking for is a warrior that could use either axe or gs as main and have high dps but also good survivability, cause i like to roam around solo or in small groups, but mainly solo. It has to be able to take damage and give back large amounts. I originally went 15, 10, 20, 0 20 if i remember correctly. also i have no idea what kind of gear to get to any suggestions would be appreciated. thx!
