I would love this but sadly I think we’ll have to wait until 10/18.
You should change the title of your thread to ‘personal speculation’ instead of ‘spoilers’ to accurately reflect the content.
Thanks
In their defense they speak of 2 active dragons. Primordus and Jormag are presumably/obviously the next dragons to fight. So there are spoilers. But yeah, adding speculation to the title would make a more detailed title however spoilers could stay.
Lol I’m a Shadow Abyss kind of player, but sounds like a good idea. I also wanted to join the smily train
I have no issue with this and the JPs are my favorite part about these events. That and the decorations. I don’t complete them for any fancy award, just the satisfaction of completing them.
Great thank you for the replies, very informative. I’ll look into wing 1 to refresh as well as wing 3. I’ll review other builds as well to better understand what my squad mates are doing during the fight.
A few weeks after the first raid wing was released I went on a break from GW2. I’ve been playing again for the past couple days and I’m looking to get back into raiding. Killed VG a couple of times and almost got Gors quite a few times but never happened. I was curious which wing in your opinion is easiest? Perhaps even the easiest bosses (out of curiousity, I know you have to start at the first encounter for each wing)? I’m the kind of play who likes to watch youtube videos multiple times, to learn the fights inside and out before trying my first time. I figure I’d start with the easiest wing anyways. Thank you and much appreciated.
I used to own g600(mine became glitchy after a while). I’d definitely recommend trying it out. My ex gf was in a similar situation as you, when I got her a g600 it was like night and day. Eveything became a lot more enjoyable.
I’m surprised they got rid of it. I remember someone once requested to replace the fountain with something else (can’t remember what it was). But I remember one of the developers saying the removal of the fountain would be awful because it took him/her over 200 hours to program.
Really wish they never nerfed rewards. Dungeons are the only fun way to make money.

Didn’t they get rid of the dungeon team. I also heard anet is trying to get people away from dungeons and move them towards fotm and raids.
Not really sure the true point of this thread. Was wondering if anyone has thought about going back to Guild Wars? Haven’t really played gw2 much lately. Played quite a bit at the beginning of 2015 when HoT was announced. After a few weeks, I maybe logged a few hours every month or 2 until HoT’s release. But when HoT came out…the fun wasn’t really there. Just recently went back to gw1 and I’m actually really enjoying it. Working on my 2nd LDoA, but also going through post prophecies story. There’s still people, but the population is low. I definitely preferred gw1 over gw2 but I had done so much in gw1 that I needed something new, and that’s when gw2 came in. However, gw2 eventually became stale. SO, after a few years break from gw1 it’s actually really refreshing and fun..and i do feel that sense of achievement again.
Overall, have any of you thought about returning to OG guild wars? I’m finally back and I’m loving it.
I think it’s fun and its not hard at all. and the present part is easy. I found a path in 2 tries, just pay attention.
Least we still have a chance. Only 4 portals have been found. The last player saying he found one turned out to be a fraud. Alas the 5th portal is still out there:)
It’s going to be released during my finals week, guaranteed.
My *guess* on release date - with "evidence"
in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns

So I was scrolling through the forums and found a conversation about previous releases – in which Gaile Gray quoted the release dates of all previous games, campaigns and expansion.
She said;
- Guild Wars: April 28, 2004
- Guild Wars Factions (second standalone campaign): April 28, 2005
- Guild Wars Nightfall (third standalone campaign): October 27, 2006
- Guild Wars: Eye of the North (first and only expansion pack): October 27, 2006
Then:- Guild Wars 2: August 28, 2012
So that’s;
April x2 both on the 28th
October x2 both on the 27th
GW2 August – 28th 2012Guys, My guess is we are getting the expansion on August 28th 2015 – this gives a reasonable amount of time and makes perfect scene to me.
Thoughts?!

The game is already way too easy, they should make more content like this battle. I feel like there’s so many people that want a game where they can just spam 1.
Strange, the fact that the game is too solo friendly is the reason gw2 isn’t as good as it could be in my opinion. The only things that require a group of players are world bosses(lulz), dungeons, fotm and guild missions. The rest of the game can be solo’d and its painfully easy. I miss the days of gw1 with missions that required a group of people to progress further into the game. Not to mention the glory of uw/fow, but I’m getting off topic. If they made the game any more solo friendly the game will begin to die. (imo)
Alright thank you, I might try it out
I know it’s a zone, and I have it completely mapped out. I’ve done most of the LS achievements that came with it, but what does everyone do there? I see posts about “dry top is a farm” blah blah and other sorts of posts. Is it different from other zones? Or is it just a new 80 zone where people are just doing normal events? Sorry guess I kinda just rushed through, and haven’t really explored all that it has to offer.
I get your point, but I disagree. Imo the game will die much faster if an expansion isn’t released soon
why do you care? birthday rewards are as valuable as daily rewards. fact.
I’d wait until they release the expansion.
Agreed. technically gw2 doesn’t even have a login screen. widget maybe? either way i hate the current.
Seeing as how there’s no expansion..basically its the same game. So if you didn’t like what there was before, then I would suggest not spending/wasting time. they added some more story but…its just gw2 story, basically watching 2 characters speak to each other with concept art in the background.
The answer is cantha.
Sales would boom if there were a cantha expansion
It’s been over 2 years, it’s time for an expansion.
Problem was resolved
Anything gw1 or gw2 i would buy.
People are just impatient because you haven’t released an expansion yet, even if they don’t know they want one yet. It’s just business, the consumer is constantly demanding more. 2+2=4. Just announce one already, it’s been 2 years. Besides fractals you guys haven’t released anything(except game improvements and living story[skilless gameplay-challenge=no real worth given to the player]). The living story is a great idea don’t get me wrong, I love arenanet and guild wars, I’m just clarifying why the founder of a company was forced to write a statement such as this. Would the majority of your fan base love you, thank you and put their faith back into gw2 after an announcement of a cantha expansion?. . . 2+2=4.
I pretty much play my norn everytime I log in and idc the reasoning I still want first person view. Idt there’s any low ceiling area where you rly have to pay attention to the ground except maybe cm. but if there was 1st person I’d have an easier time in cm. I mainly want the feature for screenshots anyway. I remember reading somewhere back when the game first came out, the lack of first person view was because they want to emphasize the idea that the game is all about your character, your character is the hero blah blah blah. If that were the reason, it’d be a rediculous reason. Just implement it already, it’d take 5min.
Ok I’m pretty sure this topic has been talked about before, but I literally searched “minipet” and nothing came up. So basically there is a problem with minis. If I decided to display my favorite minipet out in the open world and my inventory becomes full, I’ll be tempted to click “deposit collectibles”. If i do so, my minipet will be sent to the bank, and I can’t display it anymore until I go all the way to the bank and withdraw it again. I think a simple fix to this problem, is to have the option to equip a minipet to your hero (therefore when you click “h” your mini will be displayed as equipped along with your character’s armor and etc). Also, while equipped give it the option to hide it(for any reason the player doesn’t want it currently displayed), just like equipped shoulders or helmet. This will also make mini pet rewards from temporary events or birthdays such as the mini queen jennah feel more rewarding because they won’t be sent to the bank every 30min and the player can actually display them. And ofc if the player wanted to switch their minipets just go to the bank, withdraw a different one, and equip it.
Ofc I know that you don’t necessarily need to click “deposit collectibles” and just wait until you get to the bank to deposit your materials, but why not just get rid of an annoyance. Little things like this can only make the game better.
P.S. I’m not even a huge fan of minis(I haven’t bought one), it’s just something I don’t understand why it was never fixed.
MY CHARACTER’S BIRTHDAY IS AS EXCITING AS COMPLETING MY DAILY:D!!
gw1 birthdays>gw2 birthdays.
I played gw1 since jan. 2006, and what can i say? the gw2 birthday gift is trash. gw1’s system was awesome, it was an actual surprise. Unlike gw2 where everyone gets the same thing. It was nice to show off what you got in gw1 to others, or to sell and make good money depending on the mini. Here is my opinion on the matter of my character’s birthday:
MY CHARACTER’S BIRTHDAY IS AS EXCITING AS COMPLETING MY DAILY:D!!
To be truly honest.
I’d rather get that than a mini-queen jenna. Much less five of her.
So true, worst bday gift. Scroll of xp is nice but gw1 had such a better method. it was an actual surprise haha.
I sort of agree. Well at least for those who got the collectors/deluxe editions. sucks I paid 150$ for extra things, and I never received a legacy armor for free while others will. I also bought Krytan armor for my ranger so all well. not really complaining, makes sense business wise, and I knew what I was buying when I gave my 150.
Two seconds in bazaar and I have to say THANK YOU anet for the actual cinematics. I know its not the first but I like where story scenes are going. How does everyone else feel about the cinematics that actually play like a movie? To me they are memorable and make me very interested in the story and whats going on in the world. Unlike those bs scenes that are literally 2 chars talking in front of a painting … very boring and unmemorable. These new cinematics make me feel like I’m a true hero.
Tarnished coast (us) open
-I can enter gw1 but will be eventually kicked due to code 7. However it will not disable my internet for 30 secondsish like gw2
-Massachusetts, US
-playing gw2 all day every day, Eastern Time
I’ve tried all suggested ways to fix it. none work
