Legendary Armor and WvW [Merged]

Never expected it to be available anywhere except for raids, don’t know why anyone else would, don’t even care to put an ascended vendor in wvw.

You may not care but many others do. PvP can be ignored as it doesn’t use armor stats at all. That leaves WvW and PvE where stats do matter. Easily changeable stats would boost flexibility, especially when combined with swappable runes.

Once you have those the look of the armor is secondary to function. You can use Viper and then switch to soldier if it gets a bit tougher.

Plenty of WvW players use legendary weapons already, despite the sigil not being easily swapped.

Then raids are boring, repetitive and I would really rather have everyone with the same max armor stats as in PvP.

Simple option, extend the PvP all in one amulets to WvW, then it won’t matter what armor you are wearing.

I suspect the human gods turned up after the last time the dragons drank up all the magic. They don’t seem as powerful or capable as the dragons and that would tie in with them hiding.

My big question is still were the Charr, humans, asura or norn native or were they brought in by the dragons as cannon fodder in their wars with each other? This would put them on a similar footing to the Sylvari and several other humanoid species. It would tie in with the Jotun having their powers withdrawn by the gods for fighting each other rather than the dragon’s enemies.

Ya'll ready to get Kormired again [spoilers]

Braham is an idiot, so no. Rytlock would be stupid.

If there is to be a replacement we probably haven’t met the one yet.

A good bit ago I put up a short story detailing reasons why it was a bad idea to kill off the dragons. Despite no replies to that it turned out the story is going in that direction. The primary issue is that you need something to replace the dragons, just killing them releases all their energy and the system can’t handle it. I even eventually got that Balthazar was Lazarus, it had to be a god, anything less would be badly equipped to handle the energy released. Which meant one of the six.

You could select a group of random gods to replace the dragons, but do you really want that considering what Balthy did? You could put in some NPCs to replace them but except for the Pale Tree which ones would you trust enough? Asura? Charr? Norn? Humans?

At the moment you have 2 dragons dead. The Pale tree could replace one dragon, Mordremoth. That leaves a space for replacement of Zhaitan. Grenth would be an obvious option.

Exactly what is in episode 6 I don’t know, but it will lead on to the next expansion. There is still a lot of excess magic floating around. To be honest I did play around with the idea that the glowing man figure that appears every so often might be an original god who was either split to make the 6 elder dragons or had his power stolen by them.

With Jormag now out of it again there is little point in Braham going berzerk and trying to kill it, although it might just happen.

It might also happen that the 5 other human gods team up with heroes against Balthazar in a similar fight to replacing Abaddon with Kormir, or at least stopping the god going and doing something disastrous.

Guild Wars 2 crashed on start up and now it’s insisting that Local.dat is in use by Guild Wars 2 and stops working. Normally it clears on a restart but this time it’s just kept on being flagged as in use. I can’t delete or move it, as windows 10 thinks it’s being used. -repair doesn’t seem to work either.

Any ideas of a simple fix for this?
