I have played dagger/dagger and dagger/pistol and cannot believe the damage disparity between these two weapon sets and say sword/dagger. I really enjoy playing sword dagger but the damage cannot even compete. I realize sword dagger offers different options with a lot of mobility the weapon attack on sword is slower and by the time it hits once I can have three dagger attacks in with a potential damage of 5k plus vs a 1.7 to 2.5k sword swing. What gives? When will they fix this?
I play a thief and cannot believe the only viable options to keep up damage wise is dagger/dagger or dagger/pistol. I really enjoy the thought of playing sword/dagger but cannot believe the damage disparity that i see between the two. I understand that sword dagger has different abilities but you have got to be kidding me with the low damage. I wish it would all be single target damage and not hitting multiple targets with the sword. I also wish the sword damage for tactical strike was near what dagger backstab was but could be understandably lower. You could just lower the daze to one second. Come on guys lets not keep nerfing everything to the point of not being playable. Thief is all about high damage and less survivability. Please fix this!
I am currently playing dagger pistol because it is well balanced and a lot of fun. I wish I could play sword dagger but i find several things lacking in this build. First off the weapon attack speed for the sword is to slow and the damage output vs the dagger is to low. Second, the sword should be single target not multiple target. I would not even mind if the daze was lowered to one second if the backstab damage with the sword was more in line with dagger. I cannot believe there is such a disparity in damage between weapon sets. Its as if you are almost forced to go dagger dagger or dagger pistol to keep up with the damage of a warrior. The main focus behind the thief is high spike damage due to the soft target nature the thief is.
