I have been playing since BWE1 and Ill be kitten ed if I go after every little thing they tell me is important. Alos Im not going to screw over my server by joining wvw and running around doing map completion.

Joined random se run that had 2 guardians in it thinking “CAKEWALK TIME” now they admitted inexperience but I told em what to do with some wiggle room so they could learn things.

Then the ranger joined.

As we proceeded to kitten train the golems the ranger would go max range and then rage at us for him dying. Unfortunately my 2 guardian wards kept trying to go and rez him thus killing themselves. This happened 3-4 times then one of the guardians said “Why the kitten are you always in the middle of nowhere and not with us? We only die because we try to keep you alive.” I sent guardian 5g and got the gold and this little gem back

There was some more back and forth where the ranger asked us " omfg how old are you guys?" and got a bunch of late 20’s as answers but generally he kept quiet.

I cant help but feel as if I didnt try to help the ranger enough.

EA/Dice are people too.

Dont see much difference in " Pvpers typically act like terrible human beings" and “All pvpers are terrible human beings” One suggests most and the other states most but then again I dont use most punctuation.

I aughto post my solo times vs a berserkers solo times. totally have been reading time wrong all these years.

That being said I love that these “i never said to join zerker group” never say anything about connception or whatever his name is. He hops in and aligns himself with them and then basically says he ignores lfg’s but they still go on about the bad meta people.

I mean I read the whole thread and not a single “berserker” has said anything other than respect the lfg or kick regardless of what is put. (essentially) and are “harrassed” whilst conception gets a free pass. it reeks of hypocrisy. and i cant be the only one to notice it.

After he dies a couple times I try again. He replies "What is that?’ I tell and he still doesnt slot it.

We just left him behind because he couldnt make any of the skips.

As for Right now. The most I see is for level 80req. 2 popped up under cm that were all welcome I managed to get one but the second one went away so fast that all I had was the empty space.

1 all welcome story mode TA was up but in the time it took me to reach and press print screen it was full and gone.

As for mentoring…. I dont know if there really needs to be one.

What needs to happen is for people to start making LFG’s saying “new to dungeon could use some help” or something like that. So many dungeons I run where I you can tell the person has no clue what is going on but they dont ask for help. people seem to forget gw2/1 is one of the friendliest mmo’s out there. Just need a bit of initiative.

99% of the time I see someone asking for help I instantly click join. Then like 4 other lvl 80’s join and I usually leave in the hope that another low level who needs help could join and learn.

Someone asks for help in map chat and a zerg appears. Ask for how to get to a vista and a horde appears to show you and apply perma swiftness. somehow people forget to do it in dungeons.

Ill help till im sick of helping. Usually on my 3-4th run of the night then I go play battlefield. Where i imagine all my victims are various staff guardians etc etc.

He didn’t troll them on purpose – he was trying to leave the abuse so he did it in the only way he could think of: he left his computer. Only certain kinds of players think of alt-F4 as a way to leave a situation. I personally have been playing MMOs since Ultima Online and the beginning of EQ and have NEVER used that at all. So it wouldn’t occur to me either as a way to leave the match.

Clearly the type of players the NPE was designed for. Ba ZING!!!! jk jk jk

alt-f4 or closing the program or clicking X Would never have occurred to you as a way to leave a computer program?

I guess people learn differently as was said in that other thread.

This isnt a pvp only issue ofc. it could happen with dungeons. The way to exit a dungeon isnt exactly crystal clear. You have to click the little button to get leave group to show up. or you have to run back to the start and go through the portal.

Now imagine the other people didnt know how to kick. And he went and watched a tv show whilst the other 4 players worked on arah p4.

Or In open world he turned on auto attack and up-scaled an event and basically afk’d

My apologies on the rant meh lack of sleep and frustration with people who believe the people who start groups are nobodies and dont count.

Imo Party lead should always also be instance lead.

I believe it may have been Jerus who suggested the option of having party lead with the option of being instance owner (with power to transfer and afk timer) and having a party lead with no instance “owner” like it is now. And having that variable show up on the lfg. so joiners can choose if the are willing to take the risk.

Lesson learned artkin.. Dont buy keys with cash. Do what them other people do and flip chars clearing zones.

Some people would never have made it in GW1 I see.

TA – thief/g/w + anything except mm necro.

gw1 pvp. I remember a match it was down to me – ele vs war had just finished spiking down a mesmer and the mes fb’d the mo to death after death.

went on for about 5mins till i /kneel. and he cut my head off.

Honestly that tells you how great the system is.

I typically get kicked when I have 1 hour to play and I want nice and smooth 15min/path run and I put " p1 experienced Lvl 70+ meta pref" and I get level 50’s who also dont know what to do. I get kicked when I am mean and elitist and ask " You dont meet any of the requested requirements for the group. Why did you join?"

Frankly in my eyes everyone against the party leader system is either a griefer, or a person who joins groups without meeting the requested requirements who enjoys the relative immunity they get from joining pug groups.

The people who want three votes instead are practically confirmed griefers.

By your words. on my lvl 70thief at the time. Random person joined my group. Changed the lfg to a different dungeon. 3 people joined ready to do that changed dungeon.

Im the bad guy there I should have left. Clearly.

Are you that guy from the CM run that told me to ease up on the “attitude” because I called out a few people? I wasnt complaining about damage as I solo’d 3 mobs whilst “the other 4 were slaughtered by 1 mob” I was complaining about the synergy :P especially when I am consistently last one alive who has to suicide so others can respawn.

but yea Reading is hard for quite a few people. 80 Only will consistently get lvl 30’s
