Eventually someone will join your group that doesnt want to play how you want.
Kick said individual IMMEDIATELY. Feel no remorse. You were merely insuring that your way of play is safe. If he wants to play differently he can make his own group.

After all what are groups? Likeminded people who come together to do something.

Funny thing about teaching is that I find most pugs to be wholly unreceptive to any criticism and/or wholly unprepared. I have gotten to the point where I have stopped helping now Im just kicking. The amount of heartache I get for simple suggestions..

I mean I suppose he was right, turrets are fine when you are being carried by an ele, a phalanx warrior, and another warrior who know how to also prestack might.(rare sight)

Baseball cards are more like minipacks, not like BL chests. You know there will be 3 of them inside, and you might get a rare but most likely a common that everyone has. I wasn’t talking about these kind of things. BL chests on the other hand might contain something that has zero value or one of the most expensive things in the game.

Each Black Lion Chest contains 3 randomly selected items.

The first lot is always either a booster or, rarely, a booster multi-pack.( crafting booster worth 150gems) note that is worth more than one blc key(125) on double checking all but 2 boosts are worth more than the key.

The other two lots of items are selected at random from the other categories of drops.

Do the math. One should ALWAYS atleast recoup 3/4th gem value of the BL key. I would put 100% but i dont like 100% so I dropped it down to 75%.

Note on Lupi- I forget which team it was that failed the wall. That struggle was visually more intense than the insta kill pretty much everyone else did.

On the part of the voice work. There was a general lack of excitement? Maybe the runs werent exciting because you are pro’s also? but then again it may be because speed clearing while i know it has risks , doesnt look that way. You dont feel the tension. There was no “OH no x has to drop the wall of reflection now or else OH JUST IN TIME!!!”

There was a powerpoint iirc from some dev company that discussed forum posters. He basically said (if my memory serves me correctly) forums are full of “haters” but dont you dare ignore them. Those haters are the ones that find the things that will tell you about the things that will haunt you a year down the line. The forum goers can be used to find trends as they are more vocal.

Especially considering everything thats not available to them is clearly marked not only as locked but also when it unlocks.

Yet people seem they want to believe the system is much worst then it really is. Most of the things people report are locked really arnt, its just the system introduces them at a certain level like say vistas. Its clear though people arent complaining because they have no been allowed to do a vista cause they werent a certain level.

The sheer fact that there is so much uncertainty points to a failure of sorts in my eyes.
Like the removal of the first tp vendor in the starter areas. Technically one can simply run ahead a bit to get to the tp, but to an unknowing newcomer ( and admittedly myself when I rolled another char to test it out) I thought wtf I have no tp?

Now I knew the button to press, I knew to check the forums but for all intensive purposes to a new player, the tp does not exist. just like wvw, and a few other things.

Lol @ the Just go to LA and use the portals there. HAHAHAHA the sheer number of new players that I know that havent even left their own racial area. Is there actually something that shows new players the portals other than in the story missions?( i cant even remember if it was covered in the story missions)

Oh wow dodge tutorial. I didnt even see it when I rolled a new char. Infact the only dodge area I even know of is in the Queensdale ( I assume it exists in the others) BUT

For example the Township Of Claypool has 3 great tutorial thingies on timing blocks, timing shots. Does something like that exist in the other areas?

Then again it is new player experience not improving new players knowledge or something like that.

Just got to thinking about what’s been going on in forums compared to other games I’ve played that truly deserved the hate in forums. The veterans of those games aren’t entitled. They were bitter. They knew there was pretty much no hope of being heard, and just trudged along with their posting. They loved the game and it’s where their friends were.

Then there is GW2. All companies make mistakes. Despite what some people think, a corporation is comprised of human beings. Right now they’re being called out on it, and it does seem a bit out of hand. However, in the taste of online gaming I’ve had no company has done better than these guys at listening to and doing right by their customers.

Lots of people speak up here not only because they care about the game, but also because they have hope of being heard. Few things are as depressing as customers telling a game master (PR figure head and piñata) “Yeah, thanks for the response. We know you gotta say this bull and nothing’s actually gonna change, but thanks anyhow.” Going through a bit of a storm now, but hope sure is a nice change.

I dont really care about the price. I dont really care about the char slot (revenant meta? doubt it), I dont care about the open world. I dont care about guild halls. I care about this “challenging content” and the silence around the words “fractals and dungeons”.

I have almost literally been told by arenanet to go to hell. I have played the same 8 dungeons for the past x years I cant remember. I love the bloody game. But kitten me. They consistently treat me like a redheaded stepchild.

One dungeon. Literally I am so desperate I would preorder right bloody now if they said we have one new dungeon.

I run dungeons for tips occasionally. Thus far out of about 30ish runs I have gotten 2 tips and 3 thank you’s. Chat is usually dead silent during it.

I remember running Droks for tips and dying because of the chat. I remember making more from tips than charging actual prices.

Heck I got more thank you’s and tips running The Great Northern Wall than in all my time of gw2.

Didnt even have to ask for tips majority of the time. People just gave it to you, said “afk” and GG.

My blood pressure is atleast 150/90 right now. Sometimes I feel like running absolute crap just so pugs can see the utter crap they are running but that probably wont do anything because they are most likely blind and stupid.

There is a lump in my chest full of either heart attack in disguise or pent up frustration/disappointment/anger. And I have no one to blame but myself. no one.

People complaining about the new leveling system need to smarten up, it is for new players. MMORPG levelling is supposed to be slow. You shouldnt be hitting the game’s max level in 2 months (i think some could even do it in less). If you are used to the old leveling system especially from leveling multiple characters, you will find the new way of doing things a complete drag. Those who havent played the game before might see it differently.

Its all so $tupid, people complain about quickly getting to end game and then getting bored. Anet responds by adding fractals, WvW tournaments, PvP rewards and other stuff to improve end game, but people still complain. Anet decides to slow down the leveling process so new players can appreciate end game a little more, but somehow the old players still complain.

Ah yes by levelling “slowly” appreciate doing the same x dungeons repeatedly/ same world bosses repeatedly. Yes I can see it now. Heck they will love making a new alt too when they hit max level.

Also can still level up at more or less same speed… actually I think the new changes were made for people like you so arguing is useless.

Some must’ve had hammer’s cause I was knocked down, and while I was knocked down they all had me in the downed state and dead in 3 seconds. I didn’t even stand a chance.

Simply work on your reaction time and do the content more. If you get a specific cc in an area have the counter for it (stability) or CC them before they can CC you. This isnt a matter of you running berserker or not. Its a matter of you not having the best abilities for the correct time. That “will” be fixed as you get more experience. I will repeat This isnt a matter of you running berserker or not.

What utilities/weapons were you using? Perhaps we can assist you on to the one true path?

Bloody Vic does what she wants when she wants how she wants. She doesnt care about your blinds, or that your whole bar is stun breaks. She will just repeatedly stun you until you run out. Then she will do a dance routine on your head.

Social pressure.. If anything there needs to be more pressure as my groups are full of people who just dont give a Professor Yakkington about anyone including themselves.
