PS: In EB, it as been ridiculous, we stack might, they stack speed run, now the name of the game is how to get to them, before they hide in towers.

Yeah I barely play in EB… So I don’t expect anything of EB ;p

Lucky for you not playing in EB, I’m going to give some info about that map (play there 99.99% of the time, during the weekend played more than 24 h):

- EB is PUG land for SFR;
- We blob in EB;
- We don’t blob in EB when we got attacked by both server at the same time;
- Do you know that I haven’t seen you guys capping a single tower from VZ during the time I was playing;
- Do you know that your server always chose to attack us in EB? Probably not.
- Sunday VZ have a fully upgraded SM, full of siege, capable of be used as one attack base to the other servers, in the afternoon we started the attack operation to take it down, can you guess who add appeared using the breach in the wall we have made, and the broken door? Yes you guessed, you beloved server, making even more harder to flip SM, but we made it, I have commanded my first 5 min with a total wrong build an armor for that, because the commander got DC;
- We can’t play for points because we don’t have night crew, but in EB we try to play the game as it should be played wen we want to win, we know that the opponents night capping crew will come and destroy all, we don’t care we are not there so we can’t do nothing about it;
- My last info to you and to all of our present and future opponents, we have in EB great commanders (I’m not include of course and this isn’t false modesty), great players (not included also) and a great community (I’m proud to include my self).

Yes we are having great fun, with great music (Wiki Pedia as the best German music ever), lots of fun in TS, we don’t care about the final score, we only care about the score when we are present at the maps.

Let me explain how this works.

The firework event cycle (them happening every two hours) was started at 9:00 AM PDT. The event itself is tied to the ingame time and will happen at dawn (ingame). So your fireworks might not have happened yet, as it is not dawn ingame.

Apologies for us not communicating this more clearly. But the fireworks will happen every two hours over the course of the weekend, so plenty of time to marvel at them and get the achievement.

This is the strongest bunker builds I’ve seen. Ever since the buff to elixir gun I’ve been excited to try it. It’s also still very unrefined. I don’t know what to do with the 10 points I have up tools for speedy kits and I’m debating amulets (so far shaman feels better), heal skills (blast finishes in water fields vs med kit) and runes (water for med kit, healing turret I use forge runes). Any permutation feels nearly unkillabe. it has a lot of potential IMO, the only thing missing is stomping and stability.

And I’m still using the hgh condi build I linked in my last post as my main build except I’m using 2 lyssa, 2 fire and 2 hoelbraek for extra might stacks. The damage is just stupid ATM.

Can’t remember, but does Elixir S stop condition damage as well?

it does not clear conditions you have ticking but it does prevent you from taking new conditions since you evade all attacks (unlike warriors or rangers invulns).

@ op, regardless of how you spec, remember you shouldn’t go anywhere near berserking glass cannon just because your duo buddy is tanky. sooner or later you will get focused and you need every bit of survivability you can get, especially against thieves who will, generally, avoid attacking the guardian. I’m referring to 2vmany obviously.

I think I can answer you just fine, I’ve been duoing with a guardian buddy almost all the time last few weeks and it goes amazingly great. Just this morning, for example, we were attacking two different groups of 20+ opponents kiting and going back, killing a few at a time, sometimes one of us would die but we were never both downed at the same time.. we did this for 3h without wiping, got about 80 badges. We were pulling such insane fights that soon we started getting whispers about the other server’s map chat being filled with WTF, HOW COME THEY DON’T DIE WITH 20 HITTING THEM and similar.

Here’s how we run: I use my trusty p/p elixir+toolkit build, he uses shouts and cleric gear, perma vigor and heals on dodge. When stuff goes wrong and we need to run, we both have swiftness up pretty much constantly, I drop the 2 snare puddles (glue shot and box of nails), gear shield and elixir s if needed too. People tend to focus him more than me, partly because he is a huge norn and seems more menacing (thank you evolution) and partly because I’m tough to catch (cloaking device and toss S are good for this) most players giving up and focusing the slow moving monster.

bare in mind those are average fights for us, the best of the best I -sadly- cannot record with this pc but usually involve us humiliating large groups.

I was PM’d asking for my build, so I will put it out here for everyone to look at.

First, a disclaimer.

I am not a theory crafter, I am not a number cruncher. The following link is to the gear, skills, and traits that I use when in sPvP — PVE/Wuvwuv are different. Also, this is what I currently use: there are many things that change depending on my mood and what I am testing.

I use Incendiary Powder, Enhanced Performance, Precise Sights, Fireforged Trigger, Juggernaut, Protection Injection, and Deadly Mixture.
I use Rampager PVP trink w/ 2x Lyssa + 2x Monk + 2x Water runes.
I use Sigil of Accuracy and Sigil of Strength
- as strong as the Rifle is (and it is) I prefer the extra sigil option of having both hands busy.

Pistol/Shield, Medkit, Flamethrower, Utility Goggles, Elixir R, Supply Crate.

The point of this build is to PRESS your foes. Stay on them like glue. Get in the face of ranged players. Make them move. Time spent moving is time spent not attacking (sure there are moving attacks, just like FT 1, but the basic premise applies to everyone). Melee are controlled through various knockbacks (push them away, keep them close by chasing.

You use Medkit 5 and Utility goggles for perma fury upkeep (+20% crit)
You use P/S for confusion applications and for Shield 4 knock back and Shield 5 daze.
You use Elixir R for Endurance (I dodge a lot) and the cond removal on the Toolbelt.
You use the FT as your primary damage dealing kit.
You use Incendiary Ammo, Air Blast (since feb 26), and Napalm to maintain burns.

Sigil of Strength and Juggernaut = 15-20 stacks of might (I’ve hit 25 in PVE)
• Keep in mind that this requires you to:

  1. keep swapping every 10 or so seconds into Medkit for the EP buff (3 might stacks)
  2. use FT 1 liberally to seek crit procs on the sigil (pistol 3 is also very good for this)
  3. (optional) replace accuracy sigil with battle sigil so your swapping also adds might.

I find myself often picking a single target and dogging them until they hate me, damage to their allies is icing on the cake.

Things that I often swap:

HGH and Enhanced Performance:
I think that Enhanced Performance is an overall easier way of maintaining might stacks, but the bonus to HGH is that you get the full boon duration buff from alchemy, which makes your Protection Injection essentially permanent with the Water and Monk runes, though, really, the extra 10% isn’t doing much, and the extra POW from Explosions is pretty sexy-times. I typically use Enhanced Performance.
- in PVE I use Exploit Weakness to slow mobs down while farming.

Precise Sights + Protection Injection vs Infused Precision + Invigorating Speed:
I tend to stick with the prior, I don’t find myself needing to go off on really lengthy chases while in combat, and I use the Medkit 5 for swiftness out of combat. On most sPvP maps, this is plenty to get from A to B (A being out of combat, and B being in combat .. ).
- sometimes I swap 10 points from Explosions to Tools for the crit dmg and speedy kits, and when doing so I completely negate the need for swift on crit. The vigor trait is really nice though because I like to dodge a lot. Overall, I stick with Pow.

Protection Injection vs Self-regulating Defense:
The auto Elixir S is really nice, and always fun to watch in the middle of a fray, but with boon duration buffs, I think that a (near) perma protection is a more solid choice.

Elixir R is entirely a preference. C is super handy (you can never have too much cond removal. B is boss, and U is fun for spamming FT 2 (if you are lucky enough to get quickness). I like R because with R and Goggles I have two stun breaks, blindness immunity, and extra endurance.

My play style is very aggressive and mobile. I pick a foe, and I stick to them, I burn them, knock them down, burn them some more, throw some fire on them, knock them down again, confuse them, daze them, then for kicks I burn them again before knocking them down … again.

Air Blast and Shield 4 toss are immeasurably fun and useful, ESPECIALLY now that we can detonate FT 2 when we want to.

FT dmg scales best with POW, but it is a PRE weapon (firearms tree, at least), so its POW gains come from might stacks, and as such, high crit + strength sigil + enhanced performance is where I have found my own sweet spot.

Play it, test it, rip it apart, I leave it to you, but I enjoy this build a heck of a lot and I never find myself wishing I were an Ele.

to be honest every skill on the toolkit has its place its just very situational. I dont know if i could do wvw without it tho its just too handy to have another 3 seconds of blocking and the ability to pull people off walls.

Extremely fast cast time; doesn’t work at all. Haven’t tried with all attunements.

You are trying it on a downed, not defeated, opponent, correct? Just doublechecking before I add it, because I find rez skills a pain to test without making someone suicide, lol.

Conjured Frost Bow skill 1 says it heals for 15 at lv80, which should be either a typo and it heals for more (haven’t had the chance to test) or the healing should be upped to make it comparable with Staff Water skill 1, which does exactly the same.

It heals for more, that’s a tooltip issue. Added!

Sometimes I wonder if this class just feels underpowered to some people because of all the bugs.
I mean, half duration for the vigor on phoenix, lower duration on armor of earth, not breaking stun… and all the other stuff like traits not working.
That’s quiet a huge part of combatpower lost.

I agree. I think bug fixes will make a huge impact on the ele’s power relative to other classes.

Also…fully updated to this point, unless I had questions for you. If you don’t see your stuff right off, please make sure it’s not under “general bugs” or “trait bugs” which I separated out for organizational purposes. If I still missed you, let me know!

EDIT: I haven’t overlooked the Glyph of Elemental issues, I simply forgot to test it out this afternoon and I want to do it myself since it’s stirred up quite a bit of debate.
