Game over, yo.
Game over, yo.
No worries, with the removal of repair fees they will never have to announce anything again.
Needs more chainmail.
I wAke up from nightmares—raging, confused, and upset. It’s getting worse. I’ve decided to stack some magic find. I’ve probably just been farming too hard.
Every run, the same terrors. It never chaNges. The magic find boosters were unable to help me, and I feel like I’m losing control of myself.
When the fractal starts, an entity calls to mE (with poor signal, if I may add). I climb—climb onto that set of tubes. But no matter how hard I try to get on that ledge, it keeps getting fixed.
I’m trying not to run them—too scared to even think of those skins… So scared. Groans come from the underground all nighT long, downing me, rallying me, cc’ing me.
Tonight, I saw it. I stared into the abyss, and it stared back at me. So much Protection. I don’t know what’s real and what isn’t anymore.
Control of my runs, of my loot, is sLipping through my hands. And yet, I’m no longer scared.
It communicated with me through images of cc, endleSs respawns, and clowncars. I must know more. I must confront it and put an end to this madness.

Here this should explain stacking really well, it also explains why all pugs do it wrong, there is also a male version, but most parties are full of females so i guess its a more accurate representation of what it looks like.
look who i found

Thank you for your comments. I tried to do arah path 1, again. I read wiki, watch some videos, to understand how to deal with it. But after another 2,5 hours trying, we cant make it.
There are missing like 3 waypoints. Its really sad how this game works. U can tryhard, u can sweat blood and u get nothing. U lose more golds for repairs than u get. If u already have exotic gear, with stats u need, u dont need to waste hours to clear all other dungeons.
It’s the last dungeon in the game! It’s also the most fun in my opinion and the only one that can still cause problems if people are playing poorly. Ease up and learn the game a bit better. Everyone on this forum has had their backside stomped by Arah (and every other dungeon) before they learned. Has it really come to this? The first thing you do as a new player is complain that the last and hardest dungeon in the game is not instantly steamrollable with a yolo build and PuGs?
This game is noob unfriendly. Lot of mechanics could be better and more satisfying.
If u want be good in this game – pve or pvp. U should know how to play all classes and all specs. (and combos) And since, its quite a lot. U can understand how hard is that for a new player.
It looks like only way to enjoy this game is make a premade with bunch of friends and clear all content together.
Yeah…knowing all the classes inside and out does make you better at this game….and at any game. You’re admittedly new. Just take the time and learn the game better.
Airo, sign up in the dungeon mentoring in the stickied thread and I’m sure it won’t be as tough as you’d expect.
Why don’t these things have an indicator where they land?
They do. It’s a dead body.
Was your party a described party? You only get what you ask for as a general rule.

I think my eye cancer just skipped straight to terminal.
Hurry, stack and you’ll be saved from the eye cancer!
I’d rather keep the helm as it is.
I wish I had my screen of both of us sitting together that day. We match <3
And all who stood by and did nothing, who are they to criticize the sacrifices of others?
Our blood has bought their lives.
I appreciate your story but this seems more like a rant than a real question to me.
Lots of people can’t read so it doesn’t matter what you put in your lfg.
Hey everyone, Sanderinoa here with a new solo.
As I have seen the suggestion come and go, I thought I’d finally take the time to do a Mai Trin solo on lvl 50. She is definitely a fun fight, and I am glad to have spent the time on it.
link: http://youtu.be/PQnG8p1JxT0
All of the information can be found in the description, if anyone has any solos they would like to see done(on mesmer and just maybe thief), please let me know!
Enjoy the video if you’re interested, and either way, have a great weekend.
Archdiviner’s leap? How about his autoattack?
Players are not flawed…
Stopped reading here; laughter made it too hard to continue typing.
Now, seriously, most of the players’ ideology is so terribly flawed whether they realise it or not.
Take the constant complaint threads in the BLTP section as an example. Most of the threads there suggest ideas so clueless that they would destroy gold’s purchasing power to the point of having to do as Merchant NPCs recommend and learn to barter.
I take it that some people make suggestions with the best of their intentions (though most of them are motivated by laziness or spite), but isn’t the road to hell precisely paved by those? When it comes to game design it isn’t the intent that matters.

No.
NemesisMMNecro [rT] – Trans-Transsylvanian RPer EU
[snip].
A cleric [class] is not contributing more damage than a berserker [class] that dies early on. It may surprise you but a meta guardian whirling wrath on Magecrusher while capping out on buffs and vulnerability is the equivalent to five cleric guardians doing the same thing. So basically if we take a fight like Lupicus, the zerker player can faceplant at the end of phase 1 (so basically they get grubbed, have no stability then get swiped or AOE’d while knocked down, this isn’t completely uncommon in pugs), and if we assume almost full DPS uptime for both players, the cleric player has to keep wailing on Lupicus consistently for the entire fight to equal the DPS output of the berserker who died at phase transition, which is around 75-80% of Lupicus’ HP.
Assuming a player who doesn’t run berserker is bad also is a fairly safe assumption since from my own perspective it demonstrates one or more of the following:
1. Wants to roleplay a healer or tank (not necessarily bad, just refuses to use berserker gear)
2. Doesn’t understand the concept of active damage mitigation (bad)
3. Doesn’t understand the sheer strength of direct damage so as opposed to condition damage (bad, excluding fringe circumstances, e.g. dredge fractal at level 79)
Point one links in to point two as well, they may feel they’re helping their team by healing whereas an aegis, protection or blind could do a lot more (just throwing these out as examples).
Judging on AP is pretty stupid though, at around 5,000 AP I had taken part in two dungeon world records and was able to solo Lupicus, while I’ve played with pretty high AP players who are just plain terrible. To offer an example that isn’t me, I did Arah p4 with a friend months ago and we had (I think) a 1.5k AP mesmer. And I tell you what, they were amazing, almost flawless besides a few uses of greatsword which is no bueno. And it wasn’t a euro player on NA either.
The problem I feel with the GW2 community in regards to dungeons is that there are a lot of tryhards (just look at things like “heavies only”) who are to be honest, plain terrible and have probably never left COF p1, and aren’t particularly that friendly. If you take a look at the dungeon mentor guild in the dungeon subforum, a number of the meta/arah mentors there are some of the most elite players I have played with (I was a meta mentor for a little while before stepping down from it … too many requests), but the thing is – when you reach that level of skill you don’t have to take things seriously anymore. I can solo Lupicus in the dead of morning while half asleep, and I know that looking for pugs on the LFG I’m not going to find people of that calibre, so it’s best to just shrug it off when you pug and get average players since that’s just how your average GW2 player is, and the crack elite are like the 0.2% minority. But the core of veterans on this game are actually very friendly and willing to teach, and we’re all pretty easy going on voice comms (we’d be booted from our guilds if we weren’t anyway, lel).
Nevertheless, teaching people is an act of charity. I don’t charge people. When I join Arah groups at Lupicus and solo him down, I don’t charge. I ask if they want me to drop to invite a friend in (though to be honest they always ask me to stay) because I’ve done Arah a billion times and they may have a friend who wanted the path instead. The problem is that teaching runs properly takes a bit longer than just blitzing it, and I’m not a fan of just soloing everything if my students fail a certain point, and even though it’s satisfying when you get to the end and you’ve taught a bunch of people, it takes it out of you.
tl;dr … most “experienced only” players are bad, the actual elites are easy going and actually skillful and willing to teach, but people need to be willing to take and receive – a cleric dealing 20% of the damage of a berserker player is a bit of an issue and people should at least partially be willing to accomodate to the needs of their party by slotting out some of that defensive gear for maybe even just knights.
Game over, yo.

As far as I’m aware, there were 3 installments of Swifty’s patch notes. The first 2 are present in other threads. I saved the most recent set, before The Great Deletion (at least I think it’s the most recent set). I’ll repost it here:
Alright ladies and gents. It’s time for the spoiler alert..
LEGIT PATCH NOTES for February 18!
Living story
- Terror is afoot! Scarlet has lost her kitten and now Lion’s arch is in peril!
- Added +150% load times to Lion’s arch. Loading times into this region will now take a minimum of 15 minutes to allow for load time equality for those with slow computer systems.
- Placed a new scroll in the gem store at the price of 1800 gems. This scroll will teleport the user to a completely blank space with nothing in it except for Trading post, Mystic forge, General merchant, crafting stations, personal bank/guild bank, repair vendor and laurel vendor. Load times to reach this destination are under 1 second from any location upon use of this scroll.
- The Lion’s arch lion statue has now morphed into the giant dragon Primord..er Mordremoth. Modremoth bears the exact same resemblance to Tequatl however, beware! There are some leaf particle effects around his shoulders because he is a jungle dragon!
- Mordremoth summons 50 same model jungle wurms, each with a billion HP. For each apothecary axe ranger in the map, the event scales the hitpoint pool of the wurms up by 200%.
- Updated the overflow queuing system. Those with healing and support builds will take priority for ques into the main map. For each Lion’s arch map that the event is to partake, it will not trigger until at least 90% of the player population consists of bearbows and cleric’s guardians. This is to promote fair play as we all know it can take many weeks for people to learn how to swap gear sets and press more than their auto-attack.
- Upon the defeat of Modremoth, the players are teleported to an instance on the Tarnished Coast server in Divinity’s reach. Here the real challenge begins as they must not only sit and watch Kasmeer and ’Jory speak suggestively to one another, but must endure the erotic roleplaying that ensues in the mapchat for the next 30 minutes.
- Completion of this meta event rewards a gigantic dragon armor chest. This reward chest has the 0.5% chance of dropping a super unique skinned ascended apothecary stat Armor piece. This armor set is designed to reflect the extreme contempt that we hold our playerbase in and is based off the Sun God armor thread.

I don’t really post but I frequently check out the dungeon forums looking for advice and tips. I thought I’d write you all a poem based on what I’ve seen and learned here.
Dungeon A-B-C’s (A Dungeon Forum Poem and Mini-Guide):
A is for Armor,
but it’s not that important.
With a well-timed evade,
you can simply ignore it.
B’s for Berserker’s,
it’s the cream of the crop.
Be warned if you don’t use it,
some will tell you “just stop.”
C is for Cleric’s;
all those healers and such.
It’s not so bad per se;
just can’t hurt things too much.
D is for DPS,
or “deeps” as they say.
Trinity in itself;
melt the danger away.
E’s for Evade,
or a dodge or a block.
Learn to use them all wisely,
and your runs will all rock.
F’s for Forward-up,
former path (Twilight Arbor).
Now instead we have Scarlet;
dungeons are no safe harbor.
G is for Gear check,
there are those who will try it.
Think it makes for good groups?
TBH, I don’t buy it.
H is for Hit points,
and the bosses have plenty.
Control/heals are no option,
so just zerk ‘till it’s empty.
I is for Inquest,
Subject Alpha, it’s strange;
you’ll be down on the ground
if you fight it at range.
J is for Justice,
and indeed it is Great.
Gives great boons to the party;
there is nothing to hate.
K is for “Kitten,”
which replaces the speech
of the heated debates,
over what’s the best deeps.
L is for Lupi,
the destroyer of PUGs.
Truth be told, I can’t beat it;
guess I’m one of those scrubs.
M is for Merge,
bane of all our existence.
One moment there’s a party,
then the next one there isn’t.
N is for Newbie,
we were all one at first.
But when one joins their party,
all the vets act their worst.
O’s for Overpowered.
Is it so? There’s no quorum.
If you think it’s too strong,
come complain on the forum.
P is for PUG,
when you’re in a real rush.
But you get what you pay for,
so don’t hope for too much.
Q is for Quit;
rage in groups of all kinds.
Instance gone in instants,
all have Q’s in their eyes. (QQ)
R is for Ranger,
and what can I say?
Misses all of the buffs,
as he fights far away.
S is for Stacking,
a valid approach.
Share the buffs, focus deeps;
this demands no reproach.
T is for Teamspeak,
it’s a favorite of guilds.
Working right, it works wonders,
fixing most dungeon ills.
U is for Upgrade,
might I recommend zerk?
But if you want Ascended,
it will be too much work.
V’s for Vulnerability,
and at twenty-five stacks,
you can melt any face off,
so you’ll really kick…kitten…
W is for Warrior,
truly king of the pack.
Only great at the following:
buffs, defense, and attack.
X is for “eXperienced,”
major creed of speed-clear.
Always slow to fill up;
last lists to disappear.
Y is for “Your way,”
main playstyle of the zergs.
Caring not for the meta,
they should stay with their herds.
Z’s for Zerk-meta,
it’s a thing – heck it’s IT.
Other build are great elsewhere,
Dungeons, though? Might not fit.
Hope you got at least a little chuckle out of this.
LMFAO.

Lindbur & dlonie you both are brilliant. I would love to read more things like this on the forums. Afterall, if we can’t ever get the issues in the game taken care of we may as well laugh at them and make fun of those responsible for them (until they stop neglecting them that is)!
Remember to always place your trust in the Holy Trinity of DPS.
- May Power, the Father grant you His Might to rain death in the form of large numbers on top of your enemies.
- May Precision, the Son, with His Fury guide your blades into the flimsiest of their armor.
- Though fallen, may Ferocity, the Holy Spirit, imbue you and magnify the virtues of both, the Father and the Son, so that your blows may fall heavy on your foes taking on the shape of more hard-hitting crits.
Spared and blessed be the followers of the Assassin that, though slightly bent on their ways, share our vision of smooth and efficient speedruns.
May you never degenerate and fall and be led astray to the misguided ways of the Rampager, or the nefarious path of the Soldier, or the wretched lanes of the Rabid.
May your faith in the Berserker never falter, your Fury never quenched, and your Might always stacked to 25.
For Great Justice!
Amen.
(I’ll be adding more things over time).

No worries, my fashion style still remains.
I hope this thread of non-dodgers (or dual eye-patch wielders) is not the target audience.
The game is already on the verge of being too easy outside of a select few choice encounters.
I did go ahead with the kitty… :>
Wow, how cute! Very nice job. Meeeeow.
Xsquared, that toon is awesome but creeps me out. Gives me the heebeegeebies.
And all who stood by and did nothing, who are they to criticize the sacrifices of others?
