Sounds like Zoso just sent them enough gold to buy enough gems to buy a character slot. If that’s what they really did, that is awfully kind of them. Why this needs to be done though is a sign that Anet has not done a good job relaying to us why the expansion is going to cost the amount it does and does not come with a slot by default.

Exactly what happened! Didn’t have anything to buy with the gems from the ultimate edition and wanted to show people there is some good in this whole pre purchase debacle. Would be a real shame to lose all that progress on the characters, plus the Guild Wars community always looks out for each other!

I think it is inexcusable to have WvW Season 2 begin without account bound WXP. This is a major failing on the WvW team’s part.

I think part of why people are annoyed is that they are touting this second wvw season like it means something, which absolutely nobody who really likes wvw asked for, instead of the one feature we’ve been asking for since wvw xp went into the game.

Anet’s disconnect from their player base is really mind boggling sometimes.

Just witnessed this 50 on 50. Was cheering for BP but they didn’t come out on top. In all fairness SBI dropped a number of balistas and did have the bridge choke advantage.

Meanwhile DDLG was breaking down the north gates in hills for a successful capture.

Idk, we had about 20 DDLG and maybe 30 on the commander. I think we just have better guild coordination during primetime and we’ve been working with our pugs and the whole server is learning to move together in the same way guild groups do.
I think if you guys coordinated your attacks with your guilds and split up your 80 man blob instead of map hopping with an entire queue you could present more of a challenge during this time slot.

It’s amazing how one server has attracted so many terrible guilds. The only reason you’re winning right now is because of coverage and numbers, not skill. SBI does not have skill and will never have skill.

Edit: Oh remind me, how many guilds have xferred to SBI? And how many of you guys tried recruiting BP guilds to SBI?

yes. YB and SBI are bigger and better zerger servers. Since ive transferred to NSP i have captured a total of 3 towers and 1 keep over a period of a few months. I dont care about winning/score neither do the rest of us

Dude….please…don’t try to speak for the rest of us.
I have taken at least: 10-15 towers, flipped camps 40+ times, and taken keeps (hills an bay) at minimum 15 times, all since the restart, as have just about everyone on all the servers.
So for you to say ‘3 towers and 1 keep’, is absolutely absurd, unless you have only spent 30 minutes in wvw over several months. So please, don’t say that the rest of us don’t care about winning or points.

Unless you mean in the past 2 months I havent been a zergling. And the keep capture was at like 3 AM with 4 people because there was no action. Ask anyone, I spend good time in WvW. I just dont care

I am not a zergling either, and I play at all hours of the day and night, due to insomnia. I soloed 5 camps tonight by 2:00 am eastern, and took back our towers at least 6 times in our bl. Sounds to me like you are making up excuses for lack of contribution, and if you really are under the attitude of “I just don’t care”, then perhaps spending ‘good time in WvW’ just isn’t for you. And complaining about, and making generalizations based solely on your inability to help the server, and making statements on the forums regarding your discontent about NSP is not helping you, or NSP. Quite frankly, it is foolish. So please, only speak for yourself in these situations, and do not load the rest of us aboard the pity train. Thank you, and good luck,

This week as usual, I have enjoyed some fine battles against skilled, clever opponents.

I have enjoyed the battle against a guild named KIWI, they are aggressive, willing to hit towers with a small force and seem to know their stuff! Thanks for bringing the fun.

From the ongoing forums twaddle, It would appear 2-3 people have not had the same luck finding good fights. They are not speaking for their respective servers.

Where was this agreed apon as a server? Did i miss the memo to bend over and throw the match? Is this an excuse we are telling people now for why we are losing? Stop chest thumping and making yourself as well as the rest of BP look like a bunch of noobs.

Assuming all your ascended gear is through laurels, not counting back piece

For 3 characters

2 accessories (80×3 laurels),
2 rings( 70×3)
1 amulet (60x 3)
Total = 240+210+180 = 630 laurels

PvErs

They CHOOSE to grind fractals so they can negate the time cost of rings

Laurels 630-210 = 420 (10 months)

PvErs CHOOSE to do guild missions to negate some of the time cost of accessories.
( guild missions also can be done only on a weekly basis)

Accessories are 12 commendations x 2 accessories x 3 chars = 60

Assuming average of 4 commendations a week. To get 60 = 15 weeks or 3.5 months roughly

Laurels 420-240 = 180 ( 4.5 months roughly)

So PvErs who utilize all sources to get the ascended gear can expect 3 BiS characters in 4.5 months. Lets round it to 5.

PvPers

They get wvw chests with ascended gear for doing what they have been doing all this time, no extra effort.

Laurels 630-210 = 420 ( roughly 10 months)

Some* PvPers ignore guild missions and cry about time costs

TL:DR

Don’t expect to get the same item in the same time frame as others if you are not using all the opportunities that speed the process up.

I think I prefer the traps on 4chan.
