Hey,

Not sure if this should be posted here or in the suggestion forum but shall post here for now. I would just like to make a small suggestion to the way in which the blast combo finisher The Prestige on the torch currently works.

At the moment you have to have to wait for a 3 second channel in order for the blast to combo in a field. For those 3 seconds you must be in the combo field for it to combo correctly.

I would like to suggest that the blast finisher didn’t require the 3 second channel. My reasoning for this is many fields used in group play such as an elementalists Lava Font and Static Field have a short duration of 4 seconds which gives a less than a 1 second reaction time to activate your blast finisher. This would in my opinion allow the torch to be more viable in group play.

I didn’t mean that it doesn’t require the 3 second channel, I worded my self incorrectly. I mean that the 3 second channel you shouldn’t have to be in the field at the start it should just blast the field you are in.

World Rank Emote

Hello There.

I would like to suggest the addition of a World Rank Emote. The world rank emote would allow players to show of their WvW ranks by simply typing in “/wrank” in chat.

The reason behind this is to give people further incentive to do stuff in wvw. The majority of the Gw2 players are like skritt, they like shiny things. So adding a shiny emote to the WvW Ranks would entice players in doing wvw more, and also a way of showing of their high ranks that they worked so hard for.

During the first stages of Spvp, there was no rank emotes. But after the addition of the rank emotes the pvp community got a little more attention. People wanted Shiny new rank finishers, and the shiny /rank emote, so they played hours and hours to get them.
This was great, but you cant do “/rank” in WvW.

Just like the rank emotes in Guild Wars 1, “/zrank, /rank, /ladder” They all gave players another reason to do either heroes ascent, GvG or open zaishen chest. If players aren’t super competitive, or care about any other rewards, they will want a shiny emote. I remember doing Hereos ascent just to get the Wolf Emote and howl at people. In Guild Wars 2 right now am working on getting my Tiger Emote, i dont Spvp often, nor do i care about tourney, i just like that tiger emote and i will have it soon to /rank people in lions arch ( or to Show of my “kitten” as others call it)

Currently there isn’t a way of letting others know off your WvW rank, The World Rank Emote would be perfect. Players that have ranked up really high feels great that they have an awesome looking emote to go with their rank, players that hasn’t, now have something to work towards and a good reason to raise their wvw rank further.

The WvW rank currently reminds of the ziashen emotes, with bronze, silver and gold animations for different ranks.

So I was thinking there could be a new emote every 3 Titles.

Starting from Assaulter, the first world rank.

Rank 5 Assaulter – Rank 29 scout (This can be like a sword or something)
Rank 30 Solider – Rank 59 Footman ( Another shiny Weapon…Sword/Shield…)
Rank 60 Knight – Rank 89 Colonel (A new shiny Emote)
Rank 90 General – Legend 149 (….Awesomeness)

Once you hit Bronze invader, the emotes have new bronze animations.

Rank 150 Bronze Assaulter – Rank 299 Bronze Scout ( Same as Assaulter-scout rank But Shinier, plated with Bronze

Rank 300 Bronze Solider – Rank 389 Footman ( Again shinier plated with Bronze)

Rank 390 Bronze Knight – Rank 479 Bronze Colonel (shinier plated with Bronze)

Rank 480 General – Legend 600 (…. Bronze Awesomeness)

The Silver and Gold Titles can be the same with new effects and plated with silver/gold.

These emotes will go well along with the Ridiculously long WvW titles….so when you see a player that has the Silver Legend Emote and Ultimate Dominator Title, you know where hes been spending his time over the years of playing Guild Wars 2.

Ok. I try be as civil as possible. And I know in previous posts it said “dont judge a whole server after a few persons”. But @£$€ AM you are using exploting hackers. IN AM last 20 mins you have a team of ppl under floor in the bay. A zerg of 50+ mabye 70+ mixed guilds zerg to bay and start exploit in. Everyone stand nice and wait, NO SIEGE go down as you al know its not needed. Then you start hack in with exploit portals.

Im shamed to fight you in AM this evening, feel dirty to hold your badges and will try spend em on things i dont need and throw em away.

I love that they made this backlog so we get our previous rewards going forward. They could have easily have just made it without any backlog and just gave the rewards going forward. They did the right thing rather than overwhelm the market with so many rares/ectos and other items. I’m very pleased they did it this way rather than a big fat nothing, which seems like the way most games do it these days.

I’m happy with it.

People are not getting the dragon chest again the same day on one character. They are doing it on other characters. The reason they guest is they don’t want to wait the allotted time for the dragon to spawn on their server again. This is not a bug as you are still limited to one loot of the dragon chest per character a day not account. It would be an exploit if they found a way to do it with the same character but I have not seen proof of this just reports of people doing the same dragon with different characters which is not an exploit.

Guesting is ruining world events because people do their own world events, then guest onto other servers in droves and fill up the maps to get a SECOND chest for killing a World Boss they already killed on their server. It forces resident players into an overflow, who then miss their home World Bosses.

This is ridiculous and needs to be fixed somehow. Not only are they getting two chests, but are in an aspect stealing the opportunity from resident players forced into overflows. People will also miss out if they DC or crash during the encounter. After being forced into an overflow trying to kill Tequatl, I zoned into Frostgorge Sound to make sure I had a slot on the server, and the players just poured in faster than they could render. Over half of them were guests taking up valuable slots. During the fight there was massive skill lag, reminiscent of the Ancient Karka encounter.

All this was on a Wednesday night; imagine it on a Friday or Saturday. Claw of Jormag did not even fly away in the first phase, he was pinned down by lag. When he reached 33% health he flew off, got shot down, and was killed by players in the 2nd phase without taking damage from his passive AoE damage.

Ultimately the game needs to change the rewards into something that reflects the effort people put into it. The points system should reflect the amount of attendance relative to kills more, and less on flipping camps and other structures. That’s the only way to gain an understanding of even match-ups instead of a point system that rewards high population at all hours.

Just my 2 cents.

When you buy gold from goldsellers you’re attempting to get a better deal from people who steal accounts, hurt the gaming industry, and steal credit cards. To me, that’s an awful thing to do.

The only thing hammer needs to make it a really good weapon is to make some of the animations trigger faster and allow some of the attacks to be done while moving (especially since they are so slow and obvious because of the size of the weapon).

Well im not sure, I never played thief – but have you tried to look up the skill to begin with? Strike from stealth + double damage from behind the target (backstab – doh!)
sounds legit to me.

It seems to be the only class thus far where a slightly higher than normal latency can result in the majority of your weapon swings missing the target. This is probably because the creature may actually be slightly farther ahead of you than what you see on screen. Ultimately I thing the lag compensation needs to be adjusted.

Also attacking a stationary destroyable object (the road blocks by the Sons of Svanir come to mind) can miss a lot when using a melee weapon. You have to find the perfect angle to actually hit the object.

Nothing comes close to Greatsword for PvE...

No you’re not.
The damage listed is the total damage dealt by HB thus far, not the damage of that hit.
