All these ascended materials and essences should be available with Pristine Fractal Relics.
That would be nice to have also. Put dragonite ores in the reward for fractal and make ascended material tradable with Pristine fractal relics.

Sounds like the anti-stack/anti-melee crowd was heard.
I’m not really concerned about the length, just the issues that cause the length.
Dredge would be fine at 30 minutes, if it didn’t involve attacking dredge as they magically pop out of an empty clown car for 15 minutes on end, delayed by invulnerability per spawn.
Harpies would be fine if they didn’t have 4000 range and went invulnerable when you make one mistake.
QFT. I’m excited to get in there and see what changes they made though. Hopefully some of this is more balanced out than it was.
Why get upset about getting Ascended crafting mats?
Because they’re easy to come by. Up till now we been getting some meaningful rewards like skins and minis. I can get crafting materials anytime I want.
So as of a few days ago we know that we should hold on to our excess bloodstone dust (etc.) because (as dev said) we will definitely be needed more, or a lot more, in the near future (my guess is when ascended armor is released in 2 weeks).
Meanwhile, lots of players have foolishly destroyed any ascended materials they didn’t feel they needed.
The thought occurs that the devs are trying to do those people a favor who prematurely decided to chuck out their bloodstone dust.
The favor would be to make it tradeable or give it some lesser uses at least. I really have no desire to craft up to 500 for ascended gear. Since I have no desire to do so, but have 12 stacks of dust that I can’t use for anything else and can’t trade, it ends up just taking up too much space.

These are the ones everyone already has tons of. People who play a lot already have more than they’ll ever need. Lots of us are deleting these rewards as we get them. So essentially, there is a reward for people who don’t play much, but no reward for people who play a lot.
I know it’s last minute, but I hope there’s more to it than that. :/
If you really got 2 sets of ascended trinkets etc just for wvw infusions, you have enough crap to not care about that.
Those infusions are just as unnecessary as ascended weapons vs exotics.
First of all i played all proffesions beside engi into the high fractals and i can tell u that any of the classes can be very usefull in fractals!!! I wont start explaining and giving examples because it will be a very long post.
You just need to do some reading learn the benefits of your class make the right build practice it and gg…
But since reflect is importent part then yes u kinda need a guardian/mesmer filler and since some1 has to absorb the dmg/aggro u also need heavy warrior/guardian.
BUT u still got plenty of room for any other class.
It also nice to have a strong aoe filler but the varity of classes for this role is pretty big.
And from scrolling alittle i seen threads about ranger being bad so ill say something at least about this class ^^.
First of all (and thank god to it!) fractals got many boss fights that cant be meleed ( or cant be fully meleed) and there ranged dps classes become handy.
Also ranger gives 10% more dmg to the group which is a strong buff in my book.
And all those fights where u do go melee? ranger got nice melee dps + ability to keep constant fury for the team.
Also having a good ranger on fire shaman fight can make things easier.
Can keep going this way for every class… hope u got the point.
So for conclusion : You can play anything and feel importent ( as long as you control it well ), so just ignore the silly casuals posts on the LFG tool and go do some pew pew.
i dont know how fractal will go, but 1 thing is sure i dont want that p\p tief build we have seen in the live stream last night in my run ahahaha

The 39 instability is enemies explode on death. Anyone with ranged attacks (non-guardians) will be taking extra damage here. The main person this affects is Guardians, as their main ranged abilities are Scepter and Staff.
Good players melee. Good players will still avoid it. It punishes bad players, like they all do.
Not saying that you wont be able to avoid it… but you’d have to make sure you always have a dodge ready because that explosion (in the preview anyway) launched people as well as dealing a pretty good chunk of damage, so i don’t think good players will be able to avoid it too easily…
Don’t get me wrong, they will, just saying ranged would be A LOT easier on that one than melee, but that tends to be how ranged works, better survivability/easier to avoid stuff, less damage. They did say though there will be instabilities that punish being at ranged though in a similar way to that one punishing being at melee, so i’m interested to see what they all are!

Source? I was under the impression that they’d be randomized; a bit like a randomly picked Gambit, or an endgame map in PoE.
the source is the preview, they said that it was the instability for lv 39 and all the lvs have their own stability, they said some groups will have an easier time on different levels than others and that’s on purpose.

leaderboard should show time needed per fractal and per level so people can trie to do speedruns and be faster than others

There was an informal poll somewhere. Of the people who attempted Liadri, about 60% eventually managed to beat her.
Though I have to toss in a few disclaimers, as my memory isn’t perfect. That 5% maybe thrown out by Josh Foreman and the Clocktower, also, not too sure……
But regardless, there is plenty of evidence of Anet underestimating players. How shocked they were at how fast players got exotics, etc.
78% on the player base think your 60% statistics is made up. You can’t do an informal poll on forums when 88% of the player base doesn’t visit forums.
Maybe they don’t expect anyone to reach 50?
Considering how bad they are at playing their own game that seems like a valid assumption to make.
If I had the time I’d be going for 50 in 1 day as well, but work n stuff

Dedicated players with some free time will get to 50 by Wednesday. Equally skilled players who only have time on thanksgiving will be ranked lower on the leaderboard over the holiday. It will be a totally meaningless metric, and a horrible reason to reset progression.
Pointing out the obvious here, you don’t solo Fractals, you’re usually in a team of 5.
How does first come, first served work in this situation?

This is just stupid, learderboards are supose to keep the game(Fractals) competitve, but this, is just an excuse to reset the player base to lvl 30.

I wouldnt mind dragonite ore being from world bosses if they increased the amount u get. The great jungle wurm and shadow behemoth for example should give at least 10-15 ore and the dragon events should give 30. Temples can give 50. This way it doesnt feel so grindy doing the world bosses over and over again. It would also giv us more options especially since temples hav been bugged so often lately :/. And to those saying dragonite ore is easier to get. Im pretty sure the playerbase that actually tries to get ascended weapons are in the opposite boat. Cause its generally dungeon/fractal runners who want ascended stuff and not casuals who do lots of zerg content.

Also, the Daily chest at Tequatl does give a good amount of Dragonite Ore and he really isn’t that hard with a little bit of organization ^^

I guess anyone can agree Bloodstone is fine the way it is, but we need more ways to get Dragonite Ore from Non-Zerg-Content and Empyrial Stars from Non-Dungeon/Group-Content
Devs, please do something about that, there are 2 crowds that have problems with at least one type of ascended material

I had the quickest and easiest fotm run for some time last night. I had a necro and a ranger in the group.
My character’s ancestor helped Kormir to become the first mortal god, and defeat Abaddon in an epic battle.
