Several talking points here.

1) Legendary is technically a superior Tier of gear. But the point of being against a new tier is because of the power creep it create. Legengary only bring cosmetic and quality of life advantage (stats swapping) over ascended gear. So i really don’t why there would be an argument against Legendary Armor because it a new tier.

2) Personnally, i don’t think that directly introducing Legendary Armor is a good thing. Legendary are pricy, but not that much. We see legendary on a regular basis now. I use to be exited and talk with my friend on Mumble each time we saw a legendary. Talked to the guys or just saying nice Sunrise or whatever to him. Now, even our newest players are used to see legendary at every corner of the game. But there is a good numbers of Legendary Weapons. Ya of course there is only 1 per weapon (except for GS), but still each profession have several choice of weapons meaning that not all profession have the same legendary. So even if Legendary weapons bring a problem now (since we see a lot of them, making them less than legendary), the problem would be worst with legendary Armor. They use 6 pieces to form a complete armor set, meaning that it cost anet roughly 5 or 6 times more money to create a set of armor compare to a weapons or a back item (that’s why back items and weapons are more often for free during even, while new armor are usually in the gem store). This mean, that if legendary armor would hit the game, it probably will be 1 set of armor per armor type (1 heavy, 1 medium and 1 light). It fine during the first months, but after a years, you will see a couple of Warrior that look exactly the same. I would prefer to have something like an Legendary Amulet that create a special aura or effect on my current armor so that you don’t eliminate mix-matching in everybody style and looks.

My only concern about legendary armor is “Special Effects Overload”. With a weapon you have between 1 and 2 equipped at any given time so the cool visuals are able to be seen. With 6 pieces of armor, it is possible that you’ll basically be a laser light show clown.

This kind of protests speaks more about you than it does about the map. If you want something changed or improved, the worst way to do it is to appear as whiny as possible.

Please remove the personal point system in the score board. It only fuels ignorance.

Remove it and put something useful like actual stats.

I don’t think the answer is buffing iMage. I think the better balance move would be to nerf Yaks mobility and evasion tactics.

I know there’s a lot of things we can do bring up regarding iMage, but it’s pretty sad when a walking target can counter the phantasm. Case in point, here’s a Yak going for a stroll.

There’s balance, and then there’s just bad design. The dev response in the bug thread about iMage projectiles missing was that it was intended. If missing a walking target is an intended feature of the iMage, Anet needs to up their dev teams game.

This needs some attention.

Changing crit damage to ferocity was a dumb change. It makes understanding what you get from the stat confusing. What does 10 ferocity give me? Some amount of crit damage that’s about all I can tell you. What’s the difference between 10 and 20 ferocity, or 10 and 11 ferocity? Just say 1% crit damage like a normal person. I can look at that and say “Whenever I crit this will increase the crit damage done by 1%”. And please can we do this with precision too? I don’t really know what 100 precision gives me. I can look at 10% crit chance and once again easily say “This increases my chances of getting a critical hit by 10%”.

Using terms to describe stats does have it’s place but the way they’re being used is just silly and unnecessary. For instance the term intelligence. Ok that doesn’t tell me much. I know it might give spell power, mana, and mana regen but that’s about it. The thing is a single point into a stat like intelligence affects multiple things. That is when it becomes necessary. Sure we can list out all the tiny little things it gives us, but to be honest sometimes it is much simpler to group together stats. It gives you better control of stats that work together so that they come in properly balanced ratios.

Let’s look at armor sets. This style of using terms to describe sets is already being used in the game. Take “Berserker” for instance. While it is not a stat in itself we can use the term to describe a combination of power, precision, and ferocity. It seems like anet has an idea of how to correctly label their character stats but this recent change to ferocity is just so strange.

AND ALSO town clothes are now tonics…really anet? Why in the eternal alchemy did you do this? You know what I did when I wanted town clothes? I made a hotkey for it.

Step 1: Press Z. DONE! And they could be colored, and I could add or remove pieces, and it automatically removed my weapon for me, and it didn’t take up an inventory slot, and it lasted as long as I wanted it to.

Now they last 15 minutes for no reason at all, they can’t be colored, take up an inventory slot, you get where I’m going with this. It’s dumb, it’s unnecessary, fix it. While you’re at it get rid of the timer for all endless tonics. If they don’t get consumed why are they timed?

So many mesmers defending PU. This is also sad, I play thief/engi/warr and I don’t defend fail builds like hambow, pistol whip and decap.

Just glancing at your post history this is really rich coming from someone defending strength runes, which are all pretty much every single build in the ToL used.
Also id like to post this quiote:

‘I don’t use Balthazar runes , I think they are fine. I just don’t like this logic of " Nerf what is good" instead of buffing what is bad.’

lets have a new tick box in the f11 options menu.
lets call it “override out of range”

once toggled, area of effect skills with a green targeting circle will activate (can be clicked) even if “out of range” except that the skills will only be activated in the max possible range.

tl; dr
yes, i want to use f1 burst skill earthshaker effectively as a movement leap skill.

so what does everyone else think?

with these new feature in, short bow thieves also can travel very quickly with Infiltrator’s Arrow short bow 5.

at the moment, we need to manually find the sweet spot and then left click, if we try to left click when out of range, nothing happens. so sad.

Its so much hassle to always go back in pve just to deposit things when you’re in heart of the mists.. like for example, you get some items that you want to keep on bank, and its so much hassle with loading times to go in pve and go back in pvp again….

There has absolutly nothing changed with moa. And if, there was a nerf.
Moa doesn’t chill, immobilze or cripple you.

Btw, I’m pretty sure, that the Moa #2 leap actually also works as an evade (even when immobilzed).

And for gods sake, plz stop complaining about losing 1vX and blaming Moa.

Coverage and population wins matchups, can i now label “blackouts” and “stacking” a breach of code too?

2v1 is a feature, Anet has stated as such, im not inclined to quote it but minimal effort is source the quote.

How is abiding by a game mode a breach?

By that definition, NOT 2v1ing is also a breach as it virtually hands the server who has the largest population a win no?

Is that manipulation too?

It’s getting patently ridiculous how the forums are flooded by these threads only now when a certain interesting matchup is in play….

To settle this matter for once and for all, and to not start a ‘who did what to whom’ argument, I was hoping ANet could officially just answer the following question:

Rule 22 of the Guild Wars 2 Rules of Conduct states:

While participating in Player-vs-Player (PvP) gameplay, you will not participate in any form of match manipulation. Match manipulation is defined as any action taken to fix or manipulate the outcome of a match or alter or manipulate the rankings or ratings of the ladder.

Given that WvW is clearly PvP gameplay, is the current and widespread practice of “2v1” (i.e. collusion between two teams to the detriment of a third and, it follows, manipulation of the outcome of the match) a violation of the Rules of Conduct?

That’s it. A simple question with hopefully a very simple, one word, answer.

From the earliest days of development, we knew that we wanted to include some form of large-scale PvP combat in Guild Wars 2, but how would it work? We knew right away that we wanted three teams fighting against one another on a series of huge maps in the Mists (our world vs. world battleground) and that each team would be composed of an entire server full of players. Including three forces in world vs. world acts as an excellent balancing factor, preventing one team from growing too powerful and ruining the competitive balance of the game. Two teams can gang up to counter a more dominant third team, a dynamic that simply isn’t possible with only two opposing factions.

At no point did I, or would I have, said “Fair competition” WvW is not intended to be “fair”. There are servers with more people, there are servers with better organizations and that will always be the case. This competition will be about showing how your world can do over a defined period of time, against a variety of opponents. SPvP is the part of our game that aims for a completely level playing field. WvW would never be able to match that goal.

Fractal drops were broken on the 3/18 patch

Heya, Dan Daze of [LOD] here. My guild and a couple other collaborating guilds have been tracking the drop rates of fractals since before the fractured update. It has come to our attention that droprates of fractal weapon skins, and ascended weapon chests had their drop rate DECREASED at levels 41-50 when according to the patch notes, their drop rate was INCREASED.

To quote the patch notes:
“- Ascended armor and weapons now drop more often from all levels of fractals, particularly as the fractal level increases.

- Ascended armor pieces will drop more often than ascended weapons."

All of this data has been meticulously documented to be as transparent as possible. Also, we have well as over 1000 entries to keep RNG to a bare minimum.

You can see a breakdown of what dropped for each individual run in the tabs marked “data” at the bottom.We have separated the data out into two tabs, pre and post 3/18 patch.

If you compare the numbers, you will see there is something wrong:

Chance to receive Fractal Weapon Skins:
Pre 3/18 patch, 11.89 % chance
Post 3/18 patch, 2.28 % chance

Chance to receive Ascended Weapon Boxes:
Pre 3/18 patch, 10.19 % chance
Post 3/18 patch, 2.51 % chance

Chance to receive Ascended Armor Boxes (the only one that was buffed)
Pre 3/18 patch, 3.82 % chance
Post 3/18 patch, 6.38 % chance

According to our data, you get better rewards running a lvl 31-40 fractal than a 41-50 fractal daily. Now, that doesn’t seem right…

Something is wrong and its incredibly disheartening to run arguably the most challenging content in the game EVERY SINGLE DAY and get improperly rewarded for it.

Please double check the numbers and look to see if the proper loot is being rewarded.
