The commander system is only the barest hint of what we would like it to be in the long term. There are a lot of things that should be better, including the visibility of squads, and we’ll make sure to not only incorporate feedback we see on the boards but also actively seek out feedback as we flesh the system out in the future.
The future should be now though…. this has been complained about for 9 months (I’ve only played for that long. I wouldn’t be surprised if it was a day 1 issue). I realize things move slowly, but you’ve been here for 5 months you said? And all we have to show for it is WXP chests and a poorly implemented WXP skill system.
At some point things need to happen now instead of constantly using Blizzard’s ’SOON’tm where soon is any period from 3 months from now to never, but certainly never now..
Hello there,
I’ll try to be short.
After one year of playing, I still don’t get why we can’t have guild raids.
Maybe I missed the official answer on this matter in the past and I would like to have a clarification.
Why Commanders cannot set their own 30 men raids?
Don’t you think that having only 30men raids instead of a big 100 men blob that follow just one blue icon on the map will greatly reduce the zerg mentality?
Commander Tag should be visible only by people in the raid and Commanders should have their own private chat to coordinate Attacks with other Commanders.
People outside raids cannot see any commander tag, but they should also have better tools for creating their own parties of 5 people. I mean an in game and simple to use LFG tool for newcomers.
In the current state of WvW, people don’t want to make parties with unknowns because they can easily follow the commander tag and farm glory, kill and exp. Who realy needs a party?
That is wrong.
This is a mmo, we should be encouraged to create new parties and socialize.
Commanders of course should have the option to make their tag visible when they want to add pugs to join their raid, if they have free spots., for filling that spot.
I think this isn’t a very big change that requires to modify completely the WvW gameplay and it could be done in a relative short time and then tried for a month and see if it works.
My opinion is it will tone down zergs and will encourage relationship and coordination.
Share opinion
but they’re a lot stronger
than they will be next year!
You also get a title almost no one will have. It’s known as Zergling, they misspelt it as Ultimate Dominator though.
I need to learn how to click my dodges faster
The Facts
- 16 racial elites, 9 are on 240s cd’s (56%).
- 24 profession elites, 1 is on 240s cd (4%).
- 16 racial elites, 6 are over 1.5s cast time (37.5%).
- 24 profession elites, 5 are over 1.5s cast time (20%).

The Effects
Usage of racial elites is quite rare. Not only do profession elites overshadow them in effectiveness they also are usable more and take less time to activate. I think that the balance team has focused too much on sPvP where racial skills are irrelevant, please consider the rest of the game.
Options
- Lower cooldowns on most of the racial elites. (Charr and Asuran skills especially in need of help)
Results of proposed change
- Racial skills will be worth the 10-30 skill points they cost to unlock.
- Player’s can feel connected to their character.
- No negative impact in PvP.
- No professions can have exclusive access to useful if situational elites.
Hello!
I always love to support or heal players but in GW2 I play sd engineer/pu mes. I really tried to be support but it’s not rewarding. What’s the point of stacking might, casting reflection, stability or healing if I can get rewards only for killing? Class with many AoE skills win (if we’re talking about reward).
I’m asking because in next update we’ll get more support traits but I don’t see any point of supporting zerg (buffs, healing) in WvW if I can only get reward for killing.

I’d like to take “kitten PvE players say in WvW” for 800, Alex.

Hello!
Here’s some clarification, as I understand that this whole thing is quite complicated to grasp.
Thanks for your comments!

The concept is not complicated to grasp, your roll out is what is complicated, and you just made it more ambiguous.

So started a yoloque match 4v5… I jokingly said “Does anyone want to be a bro and run around the map dancing?” This ranger actually did it and didn’t interfere with the match at all. It effectively turned it into a 4v4. He wasn’t AFK but he was watching….. Our team actually won and his team didn’t rage. Everyone on my team sent him 1g out of gratitude…. Is there any chance Anet will implement some form of reward for players that ./resign in an imbalanced ranked match? I know resign isn’t implemented yet… But this would be a cool way to encourage players being good sports in imbalanced matches.
Places bucket to catch tears.
We can salvage these for legendaries!

Hope you are joking, it’s 1 April…. please calm down… it’s all a none sense what you wrote.
Offtopic: this thread needs the 4th polearm skill as a mascot :P
I would not play this game if there was a subscription fee.
Moa Form is to stronk, was running solo wvw in a glass build the other day suddenly a zerg appears and uses moa form on me. I died so fast because moa form does way to much damage.
True story.

And engineers’ condition removal along with them. Not that it is a problem, the least played class is always an easy target.
Whereas they have no problem taking their time with warriors, carefully shaving healing signets and, as now, doing nothing about adrenal health and cleansing ire, even if there are a lot more people complaining about those traits than the few ones that whined about AR.
But it is understandable, they’re a lot more customers.
I would just like to touch on the point that nerfing AR somehow nerfed Engineer’s condition removal. There is a significant difference between condition removal and condition immunity (Or in this case, condition duration reduction, which is a mitigating stat as opposed to a condition eliminating trait or skill). AR Does not remove conditions, it makes one (pre-nerf) immune to newly applied conditions which is an entirely different kettle of fish.
Engineer’s condition removal was left essentially untouched. The AR Nerf does not alter our active condition removal at all. Indeed, with AR’s mechanic of not even cleansing pre-existing conditions on activation that is mirrored across to Berserker’s stance and Diamond Skin – many engineers back in 2012 dismissed AR as unviable because the prevailing builds back then did not stack a lot of Vitality to fully abuse AR. In addition, the threats faced by Engineer back then were direct damage based; which simply stacking Vitality without Toughness does not mitigate very well. Also keep in mind that this was before Stabilised Armour was buffed and before Protection Injection became standard in many Engineer builds to mitigate Thief.
Fast forward to now where conditions are rampant and of course some Engineers are going to pick up AR. That doesn’t alter the fact that our condition removal has been somehow removed with this change because AR is not condition removal. Indeed, if you were really exploiting the trait to its fullest potential then you would actually be stacking Healing Over Time to hover around that threshold of immunity – without cleanses of pre-existing conditions you are still under threat without the sustained healing to back it up. One of the reasons why Med Kit instead of Healing Turret is so good with AR; and also why Backpack Regenerator is quite absurd combined with AR also.
That you are somehow spinning the nerfing of AR as a great catastrophe of the loss of the last vestiges of Engineer’s cooldown-based condition removal is facetious and misrepresents the issue. That Engineers are somehow this underdog class with active developer bias against it is also false, because this shave had extremely low impact on every other Engineer build other than Decap. Condi Engineers didn’t run AR, nor did Power Engineers. Even triple kit bunker (RIP Kit Refinement Quad/Triple Kit Bunker) does not run AR because Backpack Regenerator/Invigorating Speed/Protection Injection mitigates so much more at higher percentages of HP than AR does.
I’d actually argue that with this shave, Triple Kit bunker with Healing Turret will make a resurgence where AR decap was previously far outcompeting all other viable Engineer bunker builds.
With regard to Pro-Warrior bias, do keep in mind that 5% from Merciless Hammer, 15% from Arcing Arrow will do much to reduce the peak damage output of the Hambow triple stance build; which were the outliers for something built so defensively.
Combine this with the proposed increased cast time and visibility of Pin Down and the Hambow build is now a lot weaker. That being said, I maintain that the problems reside in Healing Signet as triple stance Hambow is significantly weaker when running Healing Surge or Mending, yet absurd with HS. #8%notenough etc. etc.
Your propensity for pointedly ignoring significant changes to extant apex predator builds whilst spinning shaves that do not impinge on the majority of other Engineer builds as some kind of apocalypse undermines your position.

It has nothing to do with anet that low populations servers suffer, it is down to player choice/greed. ANET gives players the choice and they bugger up the servers by stacking them, if you want someone to place blame on place it onto the player
There’s a point when you have to put restrictions in place and can’t hand-wave it away because “it’s the community’s fault.” I’m not sure if this is that point, but it’s silly to just dismiss any complaint about negative behavior like that. ArenaNet controls the game and, by extension, the players. They are the only ones with the power to urge the player base to do something.
Sorry but there has to be a point where the community gets held accountable. Those that move and those who stay and want to complain. We do not not need mommy and daddy or in this case anet telling us were or when we can play. Some chose to move others did not. We all are accountable for our own actions.

Are you serious that someone has ever upped their gameplay because of repair costs? Those few silver coins?
This will have exactly zero impact on Level 80 characters. The baddies will still be lying flat on their back and the good ones will still be pulling their weight.
Evidently they’re going to remove jewels from amulets and make amulets have all of the stats the two currently give.
So what’s the deal? Is there any sort of solid reasoning behind this change? This is a step in the wrong direction and limits diversity of builds substantially. If anything there should be rings and accessories as well as amulets to increase build diversity and make builds more tailored to a players playstyle.
I’m struggling to understand exactly why you’re doing this. I didn’t actually watch the full ready up, but someone told me that a-net believes the current jewel+ammy system is too confusing for the playerbase… If this is the case then I beg you to reconsider. It’s not rocket science, every piece of gear in this game has an upgrade. The upgrades even ALREADY COME WITH THE AMULET. It’s one of the easiest things to grasp in this game; even if you’re so much of a scrub that you don’t understand it you already receive the stats by default. It’s impossible to have an amulet WITHOUT an upgrade….
Honestly a-net?

I have awoken from a short sleep a bit groggy and Confused.
For some reason I wish to play Mesmer even more than before. . . My head was bleeding (possibly I was knocked out) Luckily the blood didn’t reach the text on my shirt “Berserker stance” it seemed to be immune. After wobbling around a bit I was able to keep myself from being knocked down due to my balanced stance. I feel like my dream was causing me a great deal of damage, but T. Bear taught me how to endure pain. I realized that this was all from the some clever Mesmer(possibly Fay my arch nemesis) trying to control my thoughts which caused me to go into a rampage. I was consoled quickly by the champion genius which calmed my mind and body like a healing surge. The genius whispered to me one thing and one thing only that I will take to my grave. . . . HHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAMMMMMMMMMMMM/BBBBBBBBBBBOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWW!
The time is coming that my bow and hammer will crush many a foe, but who knows maybe I will dust off my Mace/Sword and Long Bow. Only time will tell. :P
I wonder how many folks where thinking the same thing , when Hugh said he’s main was a warrior en then talked about shaving.
Look at grouch , he mains engy , and thats how you shave ….
All in favor of banning warrior from Hugh’s character list ?
+1
