Witch temple armor is best for DPS ?

No temple armor, dungeon armor.
CoE, CoF and Arah tokens can be exchanged for berserker amor. CoF is the easiest to complete so I would recommend you to go with that dungeon.
If you want to spend your karma on armor you can go for the exotic Soldier backpiece (the one with power, thoughness and vitality) since aquireing and exotic zerker backpiece for a good priece is very unlikely (you need 6 guild commendations and 5g to get one, or 1850 fractal relics -which is a lot if you are not even lvl80).
If you really want to get into playing a warrior in PvE, with a focus on dungeons just learn to deal with zerker armor. Tanky warriors are a waste of potential in dungeons (and a waste of time aswell)

Revamping Banners

A unique buff that can not get REMOVED BY ANY SKILL, that WILL BOOST USEFUL STATS BY A LARGE AMOUNT and a potential permanent uptime with a large aoe needs to be buffed even more? I’m sorry but do you want warriors to become buff bots? like running around spamming your 7-9 so you can have all your banners at your position, because that is what will happen in wvw you buff banners in that way.

I’m actually with a rework of the picked up banner skills, these skills mostly suck and have often times little to no use at all. Sure tactic banner 2 is really good, but that thing is probably the most you will get out of the banner. The healing power of this skill scales horribly and in larger zergs the +boon duration might not reach the ones you “want it to reach”, where as everyone will profit from the +power and +cond damage of BoS or +toughness +vit of BoD.
In Dungeons Banner of Tactics is complete garbage. Healing ways are a complete waste of time, you may not die, but in the time your run finishes 1 path other groups will already have finished 6x that amount.

Making banners a part of the warriors class mechanic, like an equipable f2 skill, that lets you replant the banner with a decent, but not too high cd can work to counteract the clunkyness of banners, but that would in return limit the amount of banners a warrior can take in his utility slots to 1.

Also stop trying to make every skill good in every part of the game. Most of the skills have their respective field to be used. Take some of the mesmer manipulations for example. Illusion of life is garbage in Dungeons, since it wont rez players completely unlike skills like Signet of Undead but can be very valuable in pvp, since it can prevent stomps if used correctly.

Revamping Banners

The buffs banners grant are already good enough. In fact the buffs these banners grant are extremely good, except for banner of tactics, but well the 2nd skill of that banner can work aswell.
What we don’t need are toolkitbanners or blinks for warriors. I’m sorry but as Utrajoe already stated, banners are quite strong but are somewhat kept in balance by their unpleasant handling. Maybe a secondary skill with something like a 30 sec cooldown, starting once the banner was planted that brings the banner back into the hand of the warrior could work, but in return some of the banner utilities would have to go in return.

The axe one : In wvwvw you can “win” a lot of fights (baddies of course) by just bursting with axe f1. Burst mastery in that case will be a lot more beneficial than the additional crit chance, also straight up dps in wvwvw is pretty unlikely anyway so losing your adrenaline isn’t that bad in the first place.

In a fight vs a good condition build and player Signet of Stamina wont do much at all.
Also by tinkering around with the armor you can get higher amounts of effective health and effective power at the same time, that is what i meant with focusing too much on armor/toughness. Sure warrior already has a lot of health to begin with, but that does not mean thoughness only is the way to go (perimeter and area of a rectangle, if you know what I mean).
Thoughness scales better with heals than vitality, that is correct, but there are very few places in PvE where this actually makes a difference, dodging bursts is more important, having higher ehp will help you more to compensate for messups, granted you dodge at least a part of the stuff thrown at you (if you don’t nothing will help you anyway).
In wvwvw things are a bit different because you face a lot more conditions, where thoughness wont do anything.

Try to find someone like minded. Pugs will be a lot faster if you have at least one more decent person with you, for example CoE if you have an Ele you can cheese down most bosses really fast, Arah orb running, AC+ELE, etc.
Also:
Everything but Sentinels is not tanky anyway.

Last chance will still be a pretty pointless trait for this kind of build. Also like Carpboy said, you are still able to pretty much spam your burst skills with this and more burst skills translate into more burn, bleed, immobilize, area might and flame jumps.

Ok, altough I hold the firm view that if you bother trying, you should be trying as hard as you can, I still give you some credit for the effort you put into it. The traits can work both in wvw, pve (anything will work there) and are not the worst in dungeons (although a lot worse since anets brilliant idea to make the inferior pve build even more inferior). The armor … well for PvE, Dungeons in particular you are focusing on max thoughness, which is really bad. Power should always be the main stat on your armor. You can mix it up with some Soldier pieces or something like that, but by going full Knights/Chav. you lose about 33% of your damage just due to the missing power, not counting in the missing crit chance and crit damage.
TL;DR If you want defense, don’t use Knights, use Zerk/Soldier/Valk mixes.
Also

Traits:

Trait #12 is good for weapons that don’t have awesome burst (GS, Rifle, Axe, etc).

you don’t need to use greatsword in the 30/25 builds (in fact pure axe is better by a slight margin), but it offers mobility and some decent might uptime for PUGs/casual groups compared to pure axe based builds.

A: Have perma 25 stack of might and
B: Are not able to WA on a wall and
C: Are not able to Rush the mob because of hitbox issues (lupi for example)

The margin Axe is better in this case is something like 6% in any other case GS+Axe with a proper rotation will be better by about 14% (if at least C) about 20% if B.

While addning new mechanics is nice, I highly despise of non removeable, periodically damaging, long lasting debuffs. While leveling my thief I often times ran into mobs with this defiled debuff (don’T know the english naem sorry). Getting hit by them only 1 time meant that i would lose ~50% of my hp over the next 10 seconds with pretty much no chance to prepare for that situation (unlike conditions which i could remove by changing some stuff around).
Overall this kind of mechanic resulted in me completly ignoring these events after some really stupid deaths, due to “OP” dots.

I liked the variety of the events, I also liked to not see any “3sec invulnerable” mob, but blocking mobs instead.

I guess you can somehow kill GL without either GS or Sigil of Energy. But your kill will be a lot worse compared to a setup with the above, mainly because you just will have to resort to different builds, for example faster adrenaline gain for more eviscerates, gaining back endurance by using your f1.

Someone went very far with 3 ascended weapons and 6 AR+ infusions …
Stomp(ed) is what you will get with this kind of build, and like the posters before me already pointed out the outlines of the build are neither new, nor is the build very good in it’s own regard- Passing up cleansing ire (op trait) or Last stand (another stability) for defy pain is just a waste. 4 more seconds of survival wont help you if you are chain ccd by blinds/knockdowns/roots&more.

DPS build for GS & Axe/Axe

30/0/0/10/30 is way outdated and playing it in somewhat more difficult enviroments just sucks balls.
Take 30/25/0/0/15 and be a mainstream cookie, it is worth it belive me.
Shield has become a subpar weapon since the buffs to swords riposte, since you will get a 2,5s block on a 15s cd vs a 3s block on a 30s cd, not to mention that throw/rip will deal more damage than shieldbash.
Runes either Scholar, Ranger or Ruby orbs, don’t bother with anything else.
Utilities: Always For great Justice, 1-2 banners (discipline/strength, forget the other two banners) and one skill of choice (signet of fury/balanced stance/endure pain, whatever you need). Elite is Signet of Rage; you can opt to take Battle Standard if your Party sucks, but taking SoR makes the run a lot more smooth for you.
Armor is full zerker, go figure.
As healing skill I would recommend Healing signet, because of the incredible HPS it offers, coupled with omnomberry ghosts (or candied dragon rolls as cheap alternative) you get high amounts of life back.
Sigils are either Slaying or Night, depending on the dungeon, combined with force on the offhand weapon (sword or mace). Having a weapon (pererably sword) with an energy sigil can not hurt for encounters where you need a lot of dodges.

The fact that anet is fixing this stuff (yes they actually do, they just don’t use proper fixes) tells you that skipping lupicus is not intended. Selling a skipped run, and making large amounts of profit with it is by definition exploiting (“using a bug/glitch in a way that lets you profit”).
The fact that bosses do not use certain skills if you stand in certain distances (ac spider, lupicus, brie) does not mean that staying in a certain distance to them so that they don’t use the respecting attack is exploiting/glitching (take lupis domes for another example). IF you however make it so they literally can not use the attack (#flowerpower) it is exploiting/glitching.

Don’t get me wrong with that, I don’t mind running a dungeon with a necro.
I wont kick a necro out of the group just because he is playing necro (I will however if he keeps doing kittened bull kitten, like with any other class).
It pains me aswell that my first class, the mesmer, has such a niche role to play in dungeons. You don’t want a mesmer for the damage he may be able to put out with skills apart from feedback. You don’t want a mesmer if there is nothing to reflect. Timewarp has a kittenty cd and offeres very little to a lot of classes (just buffing auto attacks). I would love leveling up a ranger/engi/necro, but as it currently stands these classes are very subpar when it comes to “carrying” in dungeons, which is what i normally do. Guards are excellent for that, even a lvl 30 thief can skip your group through all arah trash, Warriors will buff the damage in your group like noone else, eles can deal incredible amounts of damage, with or without fgs does not matter. It is just sad that the missing split between pvp and pve oriented stuff leads to these kinds of nerfs/downsides on classes.
Why are conditions so weak in PvE? Well take a look at what they do in PvP.
Why are thiefs so squishy and have so little ways to mitigate damage? Well look at their burst potential and perma stealth builds in WvW.

On topic: No matter what class you play, try to bring at least one of each weapons you could need in a dungeon, if there are main and offhand options bring at least two. For example: Warriors usually don’t need a sword or Longbow to get through a dungeon (granted you know how to melee stuff). But having a sword will come in very handy if you need to block certain attacks (Lupicus aoe, grawl shaman attacks w/e kills you fast) or skip longer parts in dungeons, Longbow can come in handy if you need to burn enemies for example. Sure some weapons will only find very little use, but when they do you better have them ready.

Look up class guides made by competent people. DnT members for example. You don’t need to run full zerk in the begining, since you don’t know yet what and when to dodge. A mix of zerk/valk/knights/soldiers is fine, just try to squeeze in as much of zerk as you can without dying to often (dying from time to time is fine). BUT use correct traits+utilties, if you bother learning how to do proper PvE then don’t try to rely on stuff you wont have later on (shoutheal for example).

(not expert opinion, just mine)
Necromancers, at least in my build. I can stack 25 vuln by myself. My Well of suffering crits every hit, and does an average of 3k per hit (in arah) and is a combo field. Focus 4 is a debuffer. I do however lack in a reflect. (unless I am missing one that I have not seen). but outside of that I really like the overall utility.

25 stacks of vuln can easily be achieved if everyone contributes a bit to it (~5stacks per person). If you need 1 dedicated player for might/vuln the chances are that your group isn’t that good in the first place, be it because of classes or players (mainly the latter).
Sure wells are nice, exspecially well of darkness for trash, and necro dps might not be terrible, as long as you play right, but other classes have good dps too. On top of that other classes have unique and useful buffs, like banners, spotter, frost spirit etc. or can grant you very useful boons like aegis, some might, fury etc. . Necro lacks in both departments.
Sure for a regular pug group necro is fine, but if you want smooth and fast runs you don’t want a necro in the end. Not because of the things he offers, but because of the things he wont offer.

PvE Only - whats the best build ?

For leveling: Get “For great justice!”, Sigent of Fury and Signet of might as soon as you can; unless you like carrying a banner around, then you can opt for banner of discipline aswell (instead of one Signet, really doesn’t matter which).
As weapons I would recommend Greatsword and for the other set Sword and Warhorn, to get the highest amount of mobility (bullcharge has way too much cd IMO). Your first 10 points should go into arms, for the extra precision per signet trait (lots of crits). Afterwards I would recommend getting 15 points into discipline to unlock your secret class mechanic, 5 second cooldown for weaponswap (really useful later on) and 20% reduced signet cooldown. Once you reach lvl 30 unlock Signet of Rage (damage+swiftness=profit).
I usually recommend switching out the weapons (at least greatsword) every 5 levels, blue stuff is absolutely fine, and the armor every 10 levels. Go for Power mainstat and Precision offstat (it is called either “strong” or “mighty”). You don’t really need accesories, but I think taking them from lvl40+ is also beneficial (cheap stuff of course).
Another thing you might want to do is skip some areas by crafting a profession to 400. Last time I checked, cooking, jewelcrafting and artificier were relatively cheap to get to 400, although artificier might give less exp now (idk if that is the case). – A zone I usually try to skip is the Straits of Devastation; Even though you might fair relatively well there, because you are ze mighty warrior, the zone is still a pain.

Assuming you want to go for dungeons:
Once @Level 80 I would recommend going for the 30/25/0/0/15 build. In terms of Armor you can start of with more defensive armor (Knights, Soldiers) until you are familiar with the stuff you want to do later on (basically you need to learn what skills to dodge, aswell as how to spot them). Reading guides & watching videos helps aquiring that skills faster)

Skills that are a MUST have under any circumstance are: All the banners , For great Justice, Shake it off!, all the signets, Balanced stance, Endure Pain. The other skills are not as important and can be unlocked later.

Best PUG Runs

A troll run in arah p3 where some Thief or Mesmer was babbling how zerker would only work in CoF and how there is no chance of us killing GL. It was quite fun to stay in that kittenty soldier gear for 1 or 2 wipes and then have one of us switching to zerk and soloing the boss. The guy claming such bs had left already, before even getting to GL.

A lot of “coordinated pugs”(oxymoron :P ) where 3-4 players actually trusted our advice and listend to instrcutions. It is quite pleasing to have first timers in dungeons that still listen to some advices like “take wall of reflection here” or “try to stay behind him all the time”.

1) Unique abilities that require some sort of counterPLAY not counterGEAR (I’m talking to all the guys that want soldiers/knights to be a requirement)
2) Decent animations, no champion frost wolf type of bullkitten
3) Damage/Abilities that fit to the “action rpg” combat style of GW2 (similar to 1))
4) Better rewards, not in gold, but in other USEFUL items, not 100000000000000 stacks of bloodstone dust/emprythingy fragments
5) Challenge modes
6) Different ways of aproaching Dungeons. This isquite well done in the original dungeons, not that well in ta newfu. IMO you should have a real choice between killing or skipping trash. Yes that means killing trash should be worth the time AND involove some mechanics different from “may become invulnerable”- Take some arah trashgroups for example, killing these is interesting if you do it- Aeterblade mobs on the other hand? Nothing that would require you to actually think about what do, just autoattack.
7) Rewarding experience, but not making it a requirement- Some of it is done by the notes under a mobs hp bar, but “steamlining” some abilities while still having some unique abilities/enviroments/adds would help quite a lot.
8) Buff mesmer

10) Buff…. Nevermind. Avoid general bullkitten happening. For example bugs that cause bosses to not spawn or not get hostile, mobs appearing out of nowhere, gorillas, high priest of melandru, waypoints not spawning, bosses not correctly resetting.

Well and friend of mine and me are running Arah quite often. We also often times pug and join/get different kinds of groups. It is quite fun to see how some “experienced players” manage to our “standards” (basically most of these "lfg 3m p3 only expert " groups consist of pretty supbar players that just think they are good, because they don’t permanently die @GL).
But we also run with beginers quite often and I have to say that i appreciate someone calling out that he is a noob and needs help with strategies and stuff and most of the time I don’t mind “carrying” those guys through arah, explaning how bosses can be killed/skips can be done and even killing a bit more mobs than usual. Indeed you get quite a nice feeling out of that, although it is a shame that only a small part of these “noobs” actually enter a dungeon like arah, maybe because they are afraid of those “exeprt etlist playre only” or because they don’t like at least some challenge, maybe because the rewards are not good enough for completing dungeons anymore, who knows.

I personally do not see a problem with using stuff like elemental powder or ogre pipes, however i do see the point with skritt technology or certain stones.
IMO starting with the first npc interaction is the way to measure it, that however includes hostile NPCs aswell (stacking sigils). But you can go for different approaches here, depending on what matters to you. For example in terms of CoF p1 the complete time of a run would “matter” since you may “want” to repeat the dungeon as often as you can, where in let’s say ta newfu you would start once the first gate opens (and probably even stop the time during these stupid cutscenes, since you have no influence over how long this will take.

Well staff goes for 1500 per attack wich is pretty low, however it can hit 2 enemies or grant buffs. GS goes for 1500-2500 but is able to go trough 3 targets. It’s doable but its a bit harder to play like this, since you have to mark targets by your own. You can do more with a GS than just “attacking”.

Sword will do more damage than both. Often times I’m better off to have staffs utility (getting out of trouble), which means I’m not using staff to damage in the first place.

I don’t need Phantasms to trigger the bonus, I just need illusions, clones included. It is easier to create clones, since i can get clones on dodge and iLeap.
Your damage output without reflections may be about the same, once I get to feedback stuff (GL in particular) I will deal a lot more damage compared to you. Of course, if I’m not in such a situation (dungeons with less focus on projectile reflection) a phantasm build would be better. But because i do not want to respec accoring to each dungeon I rather take a build where I can excel at places where mesmer is strong at (since i can choose what class I want to play a dungeon with I wont run mesmer where mesmers are not that useful in the first place).

And to make a post OT: Even tough feedback often times is a really strong ability, its strength comes with the correct use. Have you seen mesmers spaming their feedback on enemies even though they are not using projectile attacks in the first place? Well thats good support, isn’kitten I have to admit that of all the “get x while rezzing” Medics feedback may be one of the strongest, but again, often times you can not utilize the feedback because there is nothing to reflect. (In terms of the groups i run with, most of the time if someone gets downed it is during/after Lupis aoe and in melee range. His single target projectile wont hit in melee anways, no need for medics feedback. I don’t need it for other bosses since I can already get up to something like 30 sec of almost 100% reflect uptime, so the bosses can not even kill anyone.

You are taking both traits, however then you can NOT take empowering mantras and compounding power (that would be at least 10/30/0/25/10 =75 skillpoints needed) so I would have to cut either 12% more damage for me (and exspecially my feedback which can be a big source of damage at certain enokitteners….) or 9% damage.
Even though phantasms deliver some extra damage, they still die pretty fast. Having 3 phantasms up also needs at least 16 seconds, and then you will not have 3x your “best” phantasms (swordsman in that case) but 2 different types- or 3 if you are very crafty with your summoning ….
For the calculation, if I miss out on the 9% damage:
1.13m + 1,2p =1m +1,32p
0,13m =0,12p
m=0,9p
A mesmer deals ~2x as much damage as a swordsman (no boni on either side) . (4,5-5k phantasm hit vs 2x(1,4k,1,4k 2,5k))
As I’ve already said, phantasms do not alway survive, and the damage I was comparing to was already the damage of the highest dps phantasms.

I cannot utilize Medics Feedback because noone gets downed when I could use another. We do not need more condition remove because the bosses are dead before the usual skills run out. If I deal more damage the boss will die faster, this way we wont need more support, SO I’M HELPING TOO.

For me GS hate on mesmer comes mainly from prejudices, similar to bearbow rangers or riflebow warriors.
Of course not everyone who uses GS in a dungeon plays some kittenty build with literally no sense behind it (rabid GS for example…) and has no idea what he is doing (heyho at arah p1 tar….), but often times it will be like that.
In terms of damage output and even utility greatsword is bad, really bad. Sword has a 2 sec dodge with low cd, staff has phase retreat and will deal almost as much damage as GS once you factor in the conditions (even w/o cond damage).
Also players staying/trying to stay at 2000 range will sometimes make bosses go crazy; triggering extra mechanics or just making everyone that wants to melee run like an idiot.

To have 20 is stupid because you need 25 for the +15% dmg on phantasms normally – then you better go 30 for more utility and reflection because normally no other ?5 trait will grant you so much power. But it depends on build as allways. And on your own playstyle.

I can get 15% dmg on phantasms in domination too, AND 100power (and some other kittenty stat). Of course the groups I often run with have no need for stuff like mantra heals, feedbackbubbles on rez or extra condition remove apart from smth like nullfield.
It is NOT stupid to not put 10 points more into a traitline that wont benefit me at all, on the other hand it is quite smart to have some extra power to boost up the damage of my phantasms, since not every boss has real stuff to reflect.

Indeed crit damage won’t profit from your power, but only from critical chance and critical damage. 30 points into duelling is a must have if you want strong reflects (scholar runes, 10pts in illusions aswell as empowering mantras).
Medics feedback might be nice to have sometimes, but most of the time it is just overkill. It may be nice for rezzing some downed player at lupicus, but everywhere else it wont do anything you couldn’t already have achieved without it. The same goes for longer duration on feedback; you do not need it if your timing with warden/curtain/feedback is good enough.
Just something to keep in mind is that if you really want to go for smth like “maximum damage” in the first place you might not want to take stuff that you don’t desperatly have to take, the 10 extra points into inspiration are just that. The 25pt minor trait is nice and all, but you can get the same trait with 10 points into domination AND have 100power more. 100power! the wet dream of anyone minmaxing.
If you do not want to go that much into minmaxing, which I can understand, don’t get me wrong there, your build is fine, but not the most minmaxed build for arah I think

The build that will provide you with the highest uptime of reflects has a 0/0/0/20/25 core, taking 20 reduced cooldown of both phantasms and their attacks. BUT the illusion traitline tends to offer you very little apart from that, because what this line mainly buffs is shattering your illusions, not keeping as many phantasms up as possible (apart from 3% damager per illusion of course).
The last 10 points in inspiration are also not doing that much. Medics feedback might be nice to have besides -20% glamour (or rather feedback) cooldown and wardens feedback, but these 10 points can safely be put into domination in order to pretty much get the same effect (15% more damage dealt by your illusions).
Putting 10 points into illusions is pretty much a must aswell, because dealing 9% extra damage isn’t somehing you want to throw away for nothing.
Now you can cut back on duelling of course, only putting 20 points into it and ending up with smth like 10/20/0/30/10, but then again duelling offers very good traits compared to inspiration, apart from the 2 mentioned. -20%cd on sword skills, fury for illusions, clone on dodge, -20% cd on pistol skills and increased range, 4% more damage for each utility you do not need. IMO running something like S/F + Staff or GS or S/S or S/P (Staff and GS only in emgerency cases) with 10/30/0/20/10 will offer you the best utility/damage ratio.

I would rather have a warrior bringing just FGJ! and a banner than a warrior bringing shoutheal/empower allies but no banner, or three banners at the same time.
Also I would rather have an ele running scholar runes instead of some +boon duration runes. Sure you will be able to keep pretty much 25 stacks of might on your whole group, but there is no need for you to do that on your own.
I would also prefer a zerker Guardian just running WoR and stuff like Stand your ground, retreat, hold the line, purging flames, SotA, instead of a “support heal” clecrics guard with staff and maybe even crap utilities on top of it.

The whole thing with “bringing support” is that you can actually bring “too much support” and impede the progress of your group by that, because instead of doing what is needed to bring that red bar down, you spam your group with boons they might not even need in the first place.

Wraithlord, GL, Balthazar, Belka, Abom, Brie, Entities, Ooze, Jotun, Alphard, Grenth can be easily soloed, even tough some might take time. Of course most of them you wont have to solo, since they deal little to no damage in the frist place, where at other (for example GL) you might even be faster doing them solo, since noone will mess with their behaviour.
All in all it might be a scumbag thing to do, but ignoring downed allies/letting them die might be a better choice if you still struggle a bit with the encounter (Yes I used to do this @Gl, just waited until my pug died in p2, so i can safely do p3 without worrying about traps or 52 p2→3 transition aoes).

You clearly have not watched the developer livestream…
The tool was not made for people to learn how to read, but to find a group as fast as possible. It is really good at the latter.

On a serious note: The description field is borderline useless because some people seem to not care for this at all. Now I understand that this tool was meant for players to find groups fast, but getting kicked out of the group because the ones that opened the group wanted to do explorer path 3 where you wanted to do story does not help in that regard, does it. (And no, you wont get people to do what you want unless they have some benefit doing that)

Often times players will only have 20 or 25 points into inspiration, keeping in mind that the whole traitline wont “buff” your damage past 25 points.
Granted you are in that situation there are better alternatives to take. For one Wardens Feedback, which is simply better in a situation where you might need reflections (2 on demand reflections vs 1 ). Also -20% cd on glamour skills will allow you to place a regular feedback more often aswell, which may actually prevent you from needing medic’s feedback in the first place.

If you want to look at Mesmers and Dungeons from a viability perspective the thing that will make you a useful addition to a dungeon group comes from your reflections (Feedback and traited focus skills (20 points into inspiration). If you want to have a “viable” build for Dungeon running you should consider using these skills and appropriate traits.
For example 10/30/0/20/10 works quite well in pretty much every dungeon there is. The build focuses on the reflection Damage done by feedback, while still maintaining at least some damage where you can not use reflects by buffing up the phantasms (Phantasms will not benefit from any bonus beside +phantasm/illusion damage.
This build in particular has other qualities aswell, since you can use Duelling X, deceptive evasion in order to create clones on demand if this is required (mainly for f4 shatters)
From a dungeon running perspective shatter builds are less viable, since the damage output of a shatter can bearly compare to the damage output of phantasms, not even taking the utility they/will grant (reflections, distraction in terms of certain enemy skills).
However if you really want to run a shatter build noone can stop you doing it. You should still consider taking Feedback and learning the approrpiate uses of it (don’t mindlessly spam it).
If you want to run a shatter build Duelling X, deceptive evasion however is pretty much a must, since you wont be able to consistently shatter 3 clones once mind wrack comes back up.

BUT PLEASE PLEASE do not go for a lazy option by removing some places/adding walls, since there are way too many ways to get around GL apart from the coral.

Instead make killing GL a condition for getting the final reward in p1+2 aswell, just like it is with p3+4.

If you consider killing stuff fast fun builds like the axe/mace or axe/mace+GS with trait distributions of either 30/0/0/10/30 or 30/25/0/0/15 are best to achieve that. However the latter will force you to put some effort into actually keeping an eye on what is happening and how to not get killed by it.

Fully Ascended/The future of Dungeons

I am throwing out this question because I am a bit concerned of what dungeons will be actually good for once ascended armor or weapons come out? I decided to put these into the general discussion instead of the dungeon subforum because the content of my post does not relate to any spefic dungeon, but a lot of other stuff aswell.

Rewards:
Mostly 1g per path is pretty bad, before the patch that was about the amount of gold you would make out of running a dungeon too, the only difference was beeing able to do that multiple times (cof was the peak of it and I can understand why this was nerfed, but still, gold/item rewards in Dungeons just suck)
Ascended Fragments:
Dungeons are not the only source for obtaining them (unlike dragonite ore, which can only be obtained by participating in world events)
Karma:
You pretty much don’t get any Karma for running a Dungeon anymore (it used to be around 2k karma, depending on the amount of bosses). The most effective way to obtain karma nowadays is running low lvl odd number fotm; if you run a higher lvl you even get the chance on getting an ascended weapon, although it might have unfitting stats.
Skins:
Pretty much the last thing that Dungeons are good for after ascended armor has come – altough a lot of skins just do not look nice.

Will there be some new use of Dungeon Tokens or are dungeons just going to be a source of skins for transmutation and a nuisance for obtaining a Legendary?

Possible changes could include:

  • An overhaul of the less used/less popular dungeon armor/weapon skins
  • Giving back some of the karma rewards dungeons previously held, not all of them of course.
  • Making Dungeon Tokens useful regarding ascended crafting; I’m not asking for a cheap way to get ascended weapons, more something like exchaning tokens for stuff like dragonite ore (doing wvw rewards you with all 3 kinds of ascended material, so does open world running, why should dungeons only nail you two of the three?) or crafting materials.

I know that i may be falling for a troll here and I know that what I’m about to write is not nice, but this is just bullkitten:

If Anet is unwilling to change this path I will consider it to be blocking my progress, which in effect means I have no reason to care about moving forward in this game.

There are groups out there that already killed this boss multiple times. If you can not manage to kill the nightmare tree the error does not lie on anets side but on your side. If you like to run your group in a way that can easily compared to your regular sunday evening PUG and are not willing to change anything with that the fault is completely on your side.
Instead of running into the forum and making “completely pointless post#4531” you could start thinking what mistakes YOU may have done.

But you know what? If you really think in that idiotic way maybe it is the best for all if you would move to a different game? Maybe hello kitty online, I don’t think you get anything challenging there.

I did it with
30/25/0/0/15
Worthy mentions are unsuspecting foe (50%cc on stuned traget) and 25% increased movement speed when wielding a melee weapon.
Candied Dragon Roll for buffood (Lifesteal on crit)
I used Greatsword with sigil of force and mace/sword with sigil of force and sigil of energy.
Healing Signet, Stamina Signet, For great Justice!, Endure Pain, Signet of Rage.
P1 – Kill the rifts once they spawn. The first one spawns after entering the arena.
Then proceed to kite two of the Clones into the withe light- afterwards a second rift will spawn; kill it.
Then trigger her phase two- Now slighty more than half the arna will be covered with shadow crashes. These alternate, so in theory as long as you dont want to damage Liadra you can pull it off without dodging at all.
My tactic was, dodge one shadow crash and stun her in the same area afterwards (skullcrack) then switch to GS and 100b her as long as you can, get out of the AoE and away from the Clones. Repeat that process until she is dead.

For me the blured Frenzy nerfs as well as the prior nerf to Feedback, thus beeing unable to reflect more than 20 projectiles really are the worst things for PvE mesmer. I honestly don’t think that I will be touching my mesmer too much for the next months, granted that I mainly run Arah.
