Lots of roaming groups and roamers out, if you’re not finding them, then move to other maps because there’s been nonstop action.

Yeah, you get zerged occasionally and /laugh spammed and corpse jumped, but /shrug. Who cares? The fights have been grrrreat.

[vT] crew had a great time last night in YB BL.

This match up is so boring, Friday can’t come soon enough. Maybe we’ll get some servers with some roamers. Maybe like… 1 roamer. Possibly 2. That’d be wonderful.

Just do what I started doing to those folks who spam emotes. Invite them, click report to get the acct name, if you can’t get their char name to blip up. Then GW2LFG, “CoF speed run lf1m any class/experience welcome”

That out of the way, sry BP for stealing into your borderlands so far all week, every time we go to SoS we get hellazerged and you guys seem to have a surprising amount of roamers since the last time we faced off (making it waaaay more fun to roam around there than anywhere else).

All in all, it’s been a good week so far to test a new build!

[vT] will be at the fight club tonight behind Kaineg’s South camp windmill that was set up between [AI] and [LOOT] from Yak’s Bend a few days ago. Others are welcome to come and have a good time. It’ll be between 9-10pm EST (aka a couple hours from the time of this post).

The matchup system causes blobs, as lower pop/coverage servers try to compete against servers they just shouldn’t be matched up with. It’s not really your (or anyone else’s for that matter) fault, so you don’t have to apologize for them.

Thanks for the responses thus far; ignoring the ALS one. Not going to get into that here.

We’re still interested in talking with servers, even though we’ve already talked with a few. It’s good for us to get a sense of the servers who are interested in having us, since it’s frankly hard to do so from match up threads.

Violent Tendencies [vT], as you may or may not know, is a purposely small guild focused on “havoc squad” tactics. We prefer open-field fights and often run in a 4-8 person team on vent. Anvil Rock is where we are currently located, but due to all of the major WvW Guilds transferring off to other pastures, and being left with no one running anything but karma trains, we’re looking for a new place to transfer to so that we can find enjoyment in the wanton slaughter of red tags. There’s some other reasons, too, but let’s not get into that.

What we’re looking for:

• A server with a good, organized presence so [vT] can help supplement their activities on a given map.
• A server who isn’t going to give us kitten for being a small roaming guild in /map chat. We can handle trolls with the best of them, but it’s counterproductive and irritating after awhile, so let’s just skip the kitten ahead of time.
• A server with at least one other roaming group, so we know they exist and we can try and talk with them to get a good gauge of their “normal fights” on a night in and night out basis.

We tend to play very late evenings, about 10pm EST until… 4-6 AM some days, putting us somewhere between the North American and Oceanic timeslots. We play every night thereabouts.

That’s become readily apparent to quite a few of us, which is… yeah.

I think [vT] encounters more hostile people than not since Anvil Rock decided to turn itself into a WvW wasteland (not going to get into that though). There’s some people, of course, who are pretty chill, but by and large the roaming groups of 5-7 (and roamers, in general) are just harassed in /map and /team pretty regularly. In general, the general consensus of the harassment centers around: roaming groups “do nothing to aid WvW” and “should just go sPvP”.

I was curious to see if it happened on other servers as well.

Glad to see this thread made, I was curious myself a few days past.

Somewhat related question, and not looking for teh trollz: Are there still any servers who by-and-large can and do appreciate roaming groups and what they bring to WvW?

So! I have returned to the forums, I am glad to see that there are in fact roamers on HoD and DH and that they do not (in general) suck! Hurray! GT and PAXA come to mind as the groups that are coordinated and are “good fights”; everyone else we’ve flattened outright, so I’m hoping to see some new faces at the fight night in an hour and some minutes.

However, [Abys], I am disappoint. I was led to believe you had roamers, and looking forward to it, but having watched you zerg it up with 20+ people at the waypoint (at what, 3 am last night, before the patch?) and refuse to bring out 4 to fight 4, while you were standing in a line actin’ like turds, I am going to call shenanigans on this statement.

PS. Don’t hide behind the statement “asking my commander what we’re doing” if we’re being nice and asking you if you want to 4v4 while you’re standing there doing nothing. Just roll out 4 people and fight 4 on 4, unless of course, you suck, in which case I guess go on with your bad self.
