Tarnished Coast is still looking for more players from all time zones to help cover in WvW.

If you’re a WvW player/guild that is looking for a new home, make the transfer to TC while you still can. Our Queue times (if they exist) are very minimal. Even now as it stands we are proving to be very good competition against the likes of Blackgate and SoR. Take a look at the thread for the week and you’ll see nothing but praise.

As you can see from previous comments in the thread, there are many people who have already made Tarnished Coast their home and couldn’t be happier. The server is full of mature people being the nature of a RP server. There is actually very little in the way of Roleplaying in WvW, so if it’s not your thing… you will rarely ever see it.

This is a great opportunity for you to make the move now while the server is still not full at all times, and while transfers are all free.

We are still looking to recruit more players who enjoy playing in a fun and active guild. We do take WvW seriously, but have fun doing so. We also have a policy that we recruit individuals and don’t reject people due to their class. Why would you turn down a good guildmate because they enjoy playing a fun character?

We also have a policy that we expect you’ll be wearing TSL tags at all time. If you’re not the type of person who looks to make one guild your home at all times as our other members do, then you’ll not be in TSL for long. Our guild members are very proud to be in TSL and are willing to help out in all aspects of the game. This type of attitude creates a bond between our members that makes our guild stronger and is one of the many reasons that TSL has been successful since 1998.

We don’t look at each other as just another guildmate. We look at each other as a group of friends that we’ve spent many years laughing with in voice.

Tarnished Coast is now making the move to Tier 2. Our success has been brought to you by… a strong community of players who enjoy working together. There is very very little in the way of bickering on WvW maps. People just get along. This has been a learning process for all of us on the server. We do not claim to be the best WvW servers, but there is no doubt that we are a server that has that never say die attitude when fighting…

Please read previous posts in this thread where people have expressed how happy they are that they made the move before. For those of you who had been trying for weeks to get onto Tarnished Coast but couldn’t due to the server being full… now is your chance. WvW queues are also very minimal. On a busy night you might have 5-10 minute queues. The rest of the time a couple of the maps are almost guaranteed to never have queues at all.

Just a couple more days until server reset. If you’re looking for a new home for a server, as you can see from previous posts in this thread, there isn’t another server like Tarnished Coast.

The feeling of community is widespread. We have a great player base who are always looking to help and do what’s best for the server in WvW. We are looking for more to help cover at all times as very often we have no queue times at all.

I’ve mentioned this before, but it’s worth bringing up again. TSL is a group of members who are dedicated to each other. We do no accept individuals who want to be part of multiple guilds. This has always made us a much stronger guild as you know each and every person in the guild is there because they want this one guild to be the best it can be.

We have members who enjoy all aspects of the game, but we do it tagged as TSL at all times. Whether you need a group to WvW or PVE, you will always be able to find it with TSL. Our members are proud to wear the TSL tag, and we only wish to invite those into the guild who feel the same. This is one of the reasons why the guild has been so successful since 1998.

As the maximum server populations have now been increased, many of you who have been waiting to move to Tarnished Coast will be able to. Many people have messaged me in the past saying they can’t transfer because we are always listed as full, well now that is no longer a problem.

No offense to FA and CD, but IoJ is going to curb stomp them in my opinion. There is a significant difference between Tier 2 and Tier 3 in both coverage and quality of competition.

As a guild leader of The Shadow Legion (TSL), we are very much looking forward to the opportunity to fight in Tier 2. We are always looking for a bigger challenge, and thus far we haven’t seen much of a challenge in Tier 3. People can complain about numbers all they want, but I’ve seen some pretty bad tactics used by both FA and CD that at one time TC would attempt to use until we learned the hard way.

The last time we faced a Tier 2 server that came down, I can say for certain that many in my guild learned some very important lessons. Sure, our server as a whole got our butts handed to us… but it was a learning experience that dramatically improved our server. Coordination, Siege placement, target priority, map priority, ninja attacks, false attacks to make opposition think you’re pushing one place but instead really going after somewhere else…. all these things TC quickly had to get up to speed on.

I expect that the same thing is going to happen if TC moves up to Tier 2. There is a difference ferocity that comes into play as you move up in Tiers. The other servers are more harsh and more and more they will take advantage of both their strengths and your weaknesses.

Should we make it up to Tier 2, whether or not we can stay in Tier 2 will likely be another story. But one thing I can say for sure is that the Tier 2 server that is coming down will likely be that much more fierce than TC is, which hopefully both CD and FA will learn from, and if TC gets knocked back down to Tier 3, you will likely see us bring more and more tactics that we’ve learned through hard knocks in Tier 2, where will will undoubtedly be pitted against a ‘new’ version of CD and FA…. likely very similar to what TC is today.

This is the reality that each server is striving to become better. There are those that are just that much further ahead, but all of us are striving to improve.

With Tarnished Coast looking to make the move to Tier 2, we are looking for more and more serious PVP’ers to help cover our overnight shift. Most often we have zero queue times and most of our maps and none during our late night times for NA players.

If you and/or your guild are looking to make the move to a new server and you play during the non-peak hours for NA players, then we ask that you have a look at Tarnished Coast. Tarnished Coast is widely known to have the best gaming community who enjoy working well together, without the big ego’s you’ll experience with the powergaming guilds of other servers.

Lately we have had members from other guilds who are dying out or rapidly losing members and no longer able to field a decent force asking if they could join our guild. Although we do not encourage stealing members from other guilds, if you do happen to be in a situation where membership has died out and leadership in non-existant (IE: They’ve quit the game as well), and you would like to bring what’s left of your membership to one guild so you still have familiar faces to play with right away, we would be happy to discuss joining our group.

Tarnished Coast is still looking for a few more players to help cover at all hours of the day.

Without constantly repeated everything that I’ve said in the thread already, Tarnished Coast is looked at as having by far the best player community in the game. We are looking to add more WvW’ers to our mix. During peak hours our queue times are 5-10 minutes max, and usually only on one or two of the maps.

We could use more players at all times of the day however our focus is to bring in more players for overnight/early morning coverage.

We are glad to have anyone who wishes to be part of our community and help in WvW.

Tarnished Coast is doing better at all times of the day, but we still have room for more. During our prime time hours we have only a short Queue time and usually by 10pm until late the following morning there is no queue time for any of the maps.

We have had several people who have been asking if we are still accepting certain classes in game. TSL has always had a policy that we recruit the player, not the class. It is far more important to us that the person behind the class fits in well with out guild than the class does. To not allow a person who would be a great fit personality wise simply because he’s playing a popular class has never made sense to us.

Still looking for a few more guilds or individual players for Tarnished Coast. Read the comments in the thread so far. Nobody that has transferred over has regretted it. The server is very competitive and mature.

If you or your guild are looking to make a move to a new server for WvW, Tarnished Coast is looking for a few more to round out our ranks.

Simply making it so Stealth characters couldn’t hold camps would solve the problem and it wouldn’t be hard to put that into the game. It’s a quick fix, but would work for the time being.

When ONE thief can hold down a supply camp when a zerg of 50 people are there simply because of a rendering issue that is not fixed… something needs to be done.

This week TSL managed to move past the 150 membership base in GW2. This is a fantastic mark as TSL has also been vigilant about only adding those who are serious about being involved with our guild. We are not a mass zerg recruiting guild like others, we do actually turn people away and never add people just for the sake of adding numbers.

If you’re looking for an extremely active guild with a focus on WvW, or you’re in a guild that is no longer active and you’re looking to move whatremains of your guild to a much more active one, you may want to take a look at The Shadow Legion.

If you or your guild are still looking for a server to call home and generally play during the non-peak hours of North America, then Tarnished Coast is probably a server you want to give serious consideration. Already known for having by far the best player community given the nature of the server (Unofficial Roleplaying Server). The server is full of mature players who work well together to complete common goals. This spills over into WvW where the players of Tarnished Coast are known for their never give up attitude. Every server that we have faced in the past has given TC props for never giving up and always fighting until the final moments and a new start every friday.

We are looking more to fill in during our down times. If you play generally between 10pm – 4pm the next day, we are looking for you.

As you can see by previous comments left in this thread, you will not regret your decision to move to Tarnished Coast.

Yet again Tarnished Coast finds itself in a very competitive matchup. The Tier 3 bracket seems to be excellent for battles 24/7. With Tarnished Coasts never say die attitude, you’ll find players staying up very late to keep competitive. We’re looking for more players who play late and night to keep the pressure going.

Whether you’re a NA player who is usually playing until the wee hours of the morning or a player from Europe or on Oceanic time, the Tarnished Coast server would be a perfect fit for you.

Please read the previous posts in this thread to get an indication of how much those that have already moved over are enjoying the server. The people of Tarnished Coast really make this game that much more enjoyable. The players have really pulled together, there is little drama, and we are extremely competitive.

And as far as queue times go, if they occur, they are usually very short.

This week we have had several people ask us about joining who are in guilds that seem to be leaving or are now very inactive in the game. This happens all the time a few months after the launch of a new game as we have seen this many times before in previous games. They have seen how active TSL is and it’s a lot more fun to be in an active guild than one that is not.

If you are in a guild already, but would like to switch to a much more active guild as yours has died out, we would be happy to accept your group of players so that you can still all play together. Of course we are looking for those whose focus in WvW, but we do some PVE as well.

This weeks WvW match is coming to an end and for the time being we are still recruiting. Many of our members have joined after witnessing our teamwork on the field of battle. TSL has continued fighting and have enjoyed this weeks battles. For those that are complaining about being spawn camped… deal with it. There are alternative methods to getting out of a spawn camp. If you’re just running out to the slaughter you only have yourself to blame. TSL has learned to adapt to get past their forces which allows us to bring the fight to them behind their spawn camp lines and we’ve had a great time doing it.

We’ve learned a lot once again this week with various tactics that the higher tier servers bring and look forward to using them in following weeks.

SoR, good fights. You’re one hell of a tough server and extremely well organized. TSL looks forward to fighting you again sometime down the road. Hopefully we’ll be able to give you more of a fight.

TSL is one of the very active WvW/PvP guilds on Tarnished Coast. Looking for a guild that never quits? We’re looking for players that don’t either. We are looking for players who always want to take it to the enemy whether it’s by numbers, sheer force, or smart tactical play, we are looking for players who want to win and have fun doing it.

We’re a large group of 20-40 something mature gamers who are looking to add some to our guild. We frequently have 20+ in WvW and are looking for more.

We do not mass recruit, and only want those who pride themselves in their PvP/WvW performance. If you’re not primarily a PVP’er, you will not fit in well with our group. I have had a lot of people message me here and in game to tell me how happy they were that they made the move to Tarnished Coast. Particularly guilds outside of NA who are able to have an immediate impact with our late night group as they now suddenly have no queue times.

It’s also been pointed out many times in many other threads that the maturity level, co-operation between guilds, and community feel on Tarnished Coast seems to be a lot higher than other servers being the nature of the server itself.

Still looking for a couple of quality guilds who primarily play in North America’s off peak hours to come over and help with our overnight and early morning groups. There are still no Queues during these times.

Tarnished Coast, as has been pointed out in many threads, has by far the best community of any NA server. The maturity on this server is much higher than that of other server due to the nature. The cooperation between guilds is unmatched.

We are looking for guilds who are able to fill the overnight/early morning time slot for WvW and are looking for a fresh start.

Don’t wait until our server shows ‘full’ 24 hours a day. Spots are filling up fast and the window will be quickly closing.

Still looking for a couple more guilds or some solo players to move over that primarily play during our off peak ours here in NA. You’d have the benefit of a very strong daytime group to pass off towers, etc and also zero queue times at those hours.

As noted many times in this thread and many others, TC has by far the best community going. The people playing on this server flocked here because of the ‘mature’ nature that comes with being the unofficial RP server. You rarely even see the RP’ing, but it does attract a more mature crowd who seem to be much more inclined to work with each other to win battles. There is very little in the way of arguing in WvW. People just simply work together.

We’re looking for those on other servers who are looking for a change or fresh start.

I have recently been contacted by a decent sized guild from another server who plan on making the switch to Tarnished Coast. If we were to get a couple more, we would have a very good night crew.

Looking primarily for non NA peak time guilds who are looking for a great server with a strong community. People have nothing but great things to say about this server.

Same issue is happening with me. I get disconnected every 2 minutes or so and I am not using the Authenticator.

As anyone who is reading this thread can see. We have a great community like atmopshere on Tarnished Coast. It’s the ‘mature’ server so to speak, but filled with people looking to partake in all activities in the game. WvW is where my guild is focused, and we’re looking to help organize the night presence on the server.

I’d put Tarnished Coast on the list of great servers to transfer to. We are a few non NA Prime Time guilds away from really pushing to be in the top 2 Tiers. We will be in Tier 3 next week as we do very well during the day.

Also, our queue times are not that bad. The first night of a new wipe is pretty rough, but after that the queue times are far lower than the servers above us in higher tiers. I’ve had people from the higher Tier servers say they often wait 2-4 hours to get into WvW. I’ve hardly ever waited longer than 30 minutes and we usually have no queues after 10pm pac.

Anyone looking to transfer that can help fill up our late night or early morning hours (Oceanic and EU I’m looking for you), think about coming to Tarnished Coast. We have a community that has been praised by those that are here as being the best they’ve seen on any server.

We are having a great week in WvW and we are still looking for more to join our guild. Our server Tarnished Coast is doing extremely well and will be moving up to Tier 3 after this weeks win.
