TSL is quickly solidifying itself as a top PVP guild on Tarnished Coast. Once again last night we quickly took control of Longview and then the Ehmry Bay Garrison was sieged upon. As TSL began bashing down walls, more and more of the server began to stick by our side. The walls were knocked down and we stormed inside to find….

…. a bugged Garrison Lord.

We still continue to look for those that enjoy PVP. We are focused on domination in WvW and have been very successful in Guild Wars 2.

It’s too bad that Ehmry Bay had people bug their Garrison Lord as TC had taken it over after a very good fight.

Hopefully this bug is fixed. With the Garrison able to hit our Keep with trebs without being hit themselves… it would be nice that when we do successfully take their Garrison, that we be ablet to kill the Lord himself.

Those that bugged out the Lord (And it’s something that is done on purpose) ruin it for everyone.

TSL is now being given props by both of the other servers that we are facing. We have seen many posts in threads stating that TSL is probably the toughest force they face and that time and time again we arrive to their siege locations and quickly wipe them out or that due to our organization we are able to fight outnumbered and still win most fights in open field or at towers and supply camps. The rest of our server is also now following our lead as we have seen many people running alongside TSL on the field and heading to wherever our groups decide to go.

We are still recruiting players who enjoy group PVP. Many new members who have been playing solo or who have left other guilds to come join our have stated how much more fun they are having now. Being in an organized and successful PVP environment has made a huge difference for them they have said. We take group PVP seriously, however we like to have fun while we’re doing it. Some moments in Vent will be very serious when we are in the heat of battle. Other moments will be very laid back and we’ll all be laughing at something someone has said or done.

We are very WvW focused, however during off peak hours some of our members do sPvP or PVE.

Vent is absolutely required as it helps tremendously on the battlefield.

You can take a look at our guild The Shadow Legion. Take a look at our thread here on the forums. We have a solid group of players and have been around since 1998 as we formed as a PVP guild in UO.

We are playing on Tarnished Coast, which at the moment is running middle of the rankings for WvW.

TSL is very quickly being recognized as one of the very few guilds on Tarnished Coast that is actually willing to go take the fight to the enemy. We are looking for more members who enjoy heading the offensive in enemy territory and destroying any supply camps, towers and keeps in our path.

We are a PVP guild. We do not PVE, and 90% of our time is spent in WvW pushing back and destroying any enemies in our path. We work extremely well as a group and are looking for more.

If you’re someone who enjoys working with a guild rather than playing by yourself or doing personal quests. If you’re someone who enjoys being in a very organized group that swarms the enemy, takes towers, and does this all while having a great time in Vent…. you’re someone we want to talk to.

Finally with the new time limits in WvW, more and more people are starting to use strategy to defeat the enemy. Leading the way on Tarnished Coast has been TSL. Many others are beginning to follow our lead as they see the progress that we make when we are on.

When TSL first began to form up and decide which borderland to jump into, we noticed that Dragonbrand and Maguuma had taken complete control of the Dragonbrand map. There were no supplies for our server, no towers, no keep, and no orb. This made our choice on which map to join easy. We all jumped into the Dragonbrand borderland and began our assault. As the rest of the server were arguing amongst themselves, TSL began to work as a group and begin to bring back territory to the server.

The first on the list was the Bluevale supply camp. Others on the server watched as we over ran the camp and routed the defenders and their siege gear they were using to defend the camp. From there, TSL fortified the camp and then began our assault on the Bluebrier tower that was owned by Red. We pounded on the walls and burst through and reclaimed the tower. The tower was quickly fortified by TSL as donations were few. Trebs were put on the upper walls and began raining down on Dreaming Bay keep. During this time, TSL sent out groups and raided supplies from Red who had our server pinned down earlier at the resurrection point. Now, the tides were turned. TSL were killing their groups even though we were vastly outnumbered. Using the supply from their camps, TSL had now fortified both the tower and Bluevale supply to the teeth.

Suddenly people were calling out in /team that the tower was under attack. TSL recalled to our starting point, rushed up and hit Maguuma from the side and wiped them out completely with the help from people manning our siege weapons on the tower. It was now a fortress and Maguuma could not get anywhere near it. Attempting to cross the bridge was futile and it was scattered with bodies from out siege weapons.

After Maguuma had be routed, rather than come back to our tower, they figured they would have better luck against Green at the Green Garrison. A strategic move by TSL moved our forces to Greens supply camps making it difficult to defend and to prolong the battle for their Garrison.

It was then that TSL struck. We ordered the server to move in on the Dreaming Bay keep as the trebuchets were now finishing their job on breaking us in. Storming through the broken down wall, TSL lead the way as we drove over what remained of their forces. Like a well oiled machine TSL then set up on the south side of the keep and dropped Rams and had them built instantly. The south door came down fast and within a minute we had not only secured the Keep…. but also the Orb which Dragonbrand had left to be taken.

Very quickly TSL is being looked at as the guild to follow on the Tarnished Coast server. We are looking for more quality players who work well in groups. We have been around since 1998 and are focused on WvW. We are a PVP focused guild looking for others who enjoy PVP. Currently we have almost 100 members and we are still growing.

We are ONLY looking for those that can work well in a group.

For the last several days TSL has found new ways to increase the challenges we face in PVP. When most others are leaving boarderlands that are controlled by other servers, TSL is looking to join them.

Last night as our server was facing Maguuma and Aspenwood. Maguuma had complete control of the boarderland. Known for their zerg tactics, we decided that this would be the boarderland we would focus on. Minutes after we entered into the boarderland we secured our first supply point. From there we began to spread out and captured our first tower. The rest of Tarnished Coast began to see our progress and followed our lead.

Within an hour TSL had captured raided the north and Captured the Orb of power and brought it back to the keep we had taken not long before. We lost a little ground while we went after the Orb, but once it was safely in our territory, our focus then began to shift to the east. We had a battle on two fronts and Maguuma was constantly trying to seige our keep to get at the orb. Being spread thin made it hard to fight off both forces, however in a very quick tactical move we suddenly pushed north and knocked out the Aspenwood forces from the fight and then had our entire fighting force left to face Maguuma.

In true TSL fashion, we ran our enemy over and pushed them back to their own territory which they would never return from. For the rest of the night TSL and the rest of Tarnished coast held all of Maguuma’s territory. Maguuma could hardly put up much of a fight against our forces and very quickly they were demoralized into submission. There was no mercy given to the enemy…. there never is.

The Shadow Legion is still looking for more to add to our forces. We’re looking for individuals who enjoy PVP first. We’re looking for those who enjoy hanging out in vent and joking around with others. There is never a shortage of laughs in our vent. But most importantly, we’re looking for those who would fit in with our group and enjoy running with a very organized group PVP family.

TSL is still looking for quality people to add to our family. We are looking for individuals who enjoy participating in guild activities, primarily PVP. We do have some members that also do some PVE a well, but we are a heavily PVP focused guild and have been since 1998 in early Ultima Online.

We are a fun and social guild who enjoy nothing more than shooting the you know what in vent and beating the tar out of our opponents.

If you’re looking for something more than just a run of the mill guild and are looking for a true home that you’ll enjoy playing with for many years to come, then I suggest you come visit our site or talk to us in game.

If you are someone who doesn’t enjoy being in vent or playing with others, you’re not the right fit for us.

The Shadow Legion has managed to lay claim to Stonemist Castle in a battle that went back and forth for a long time. Memebers of TSL were having a hard time getting into game as the server queue times were upwards of 2 hours. As a guild, we were determined to get in and accomplish our goal. As our numbers began to grow, so did our effectiveness. Darkhaven had a stranglehold on the server and ownership of the Castle.

The goal for the night was victory for the server of Tarnished Coast and it was an uphill battle to say the least. As members of TSL began to log on, we began our assault on the other servers with our primary focus being Darkhaven and their prized fortress. We began by focusing on wearing down the enemy as we began attacking key points that would weaken them as quickly as possible. We began to hold the enemies supply camps while we directed other forces to began attacking their towers and quickly dwindle down their supply.

Suddenly, in a quick tactical shift, members of TSL began to organize at Klovan Gully as we guided forces in the north to continue with a full out attack on Overlook keep. Suddenly alarm bells went off for Darkhaven as they had been informed that TSL was on Stonemists southern wall and their gates were down to less than 20%. The call was sent out to save Stonemist as their entire defense was trying to hold on to Overlook. Without the use of their waypoint, Darkhaven knew they were in trouble.

Within moments members of TSL and other guilds were inside of Stonemist Castle and at the inner walls gate. Quickly TSL put up two Golems and the inner gate was bashed in quickly. Only a few of Darkhavens numbers had actually managed to make it back to Stonemist without being killed, but they were quickly dispatched at massive numbers of TSL and Tarnished Coast guilds ran over them on their way to the main hall.

The Shadow Legion took ownership of the Castle in what was a long and hard fought battle by all involved.

With the release of Guild Wars 2 almost 2 weeks ago, TSL as a guild has already started to display their leadership on the field. As many other guilds ran from the idea of starting on Tarnished Coast, TSL embraced it. Other guilds were spending months upon months mass recruiting, forming alliances, and joining where they thought the biggest zerg would go so they could join in on what they believed to be an easy victory. TSL would have no part in it. We wanted a challenge and we wanted to face the cowards that would prefer to hid behind numbers.

In the first few days of release, TSL was busy finding our feet as most of our members had never even played in Beta. We used the first match versus other servers to learn the ropes and devise tactics to use in the future. We then began to enter WvW in typical TSL ferocity and began pushing enemies back and for the first time since release Tarnished Coast had actually reclaimed all of their starting territory.

Once other guilds on the server started to see TSL push the enemy back, many of them began following our lead and our orders. Guilds started coming to us with proposals of alliance. Seeing how disorganized many of the guilds on Tarnished Coast were, it was a big step in the right direction to finally have some organization amongst the Chaos. Each day our members would log on to find that the 24 hour nations of other servers had taken control of virtually the entire map. We would log on, gather the troups and organize the server and begin the push back. It would be a rinse and repeat cycle as our server would show that we could step up during peak hours. We even had reports that both the other servers would purposely attack our server rather than fall behind to a ‘roleplay’ server.

WvW finally had it’s servers changed across the board and we were pitted against other PVP servers. Very quickly TSL lead Tarnished Coast into Eternal Battlegrounds and pushed the enemies back to their main camp. With a vengeance TSL lead the way and took control of the maps.

HISTORY

[TSL] – the Shadow Legion was formed on the Pacific Shard in Ultima Online in 1998 and has a long PVP history that has spanned through many games. During our time in UO, we warred any who would cross us and defeated everyone who faced us. Victories against all of the top guilds on Pacific left the name the Shadow Legion engraved in the memories of all those who played during our days there. Known as a fierce fighting force who never backed down from a fight, never gave an inch, and who worked together as a team like no other, still to this day people approach us with memories they have of our many years spend on UO:Pacific.

With the release of Shadowbane, TSL found a new home on the world of Treachery. Having played Beta, we became one of the Covenant of Swords nations and destroyed all who faced us. Quickly realizing that the server was severely unbalanced and that our nation not only held a massive advantage in not only numbers, but skill against the opposing nations who had no previous experience in the game, it was decided among the founding leaders of CoS that one or two of the nations should probably leave to create some competition. After a week with no other guild willing to step forward, the leadership of TSL decided that in order to help the server we would volunteer to leave CoS to help the massively outmatched and outnumbered nations. CoS leadership agreed and TSL left CoS.

TSL left and were immediately looked at as untrustworthy from the few nations that were left to fight off CoS. It was not until TSL came to the aid of [KGB] the Knight of Glory and Beer and helped the allied nations defeat CoS for the first time that TSL was looked upon as an ally. At this point the war began to shift and allied towns were being saved all over the map. For the first time in the history of Treachery, CoS was given a real fight. Eventually the allied nations of CoS/PRX dissolved and the alliance of TSL/KGB/ML ruled the land. the server would be shut down and TSL would again reign supreme on the next two servers they played on until Shadowbane eventually closed their doors for good.

TSL would then move over to World of Warcraft. We would succeed in not only PVP (Arenas and Battlegrounds) but would also thrive at PVE. Being primarily a PVP guild, we were disappointed with the lack of world PVP in World of Warcraft, but many of us would stay with the game for several years hoping that a game would come out where there was a happy medium between instance and non-instance (World) PVP.

Rift brought us another game that TSL became successful at, however the game itself was a failure. TSL quickly became a well known guild on Regulos as we were often leading groups all over the lands killing any enemies who crossed our path. Making a name for ourselves in both World PVP and Warfronts (Battlegrounds), TSL quickly rose up as one of the top PVP guilds on the server. Unfortunately the game itself would not keep the interest of the general playing population and guilds all around us began to disappear. Servers were deleted, characters were transferred and TSL began to play again on Briarcliff although our numbers had already taken a hit with there being nobody to fight against on our former server. TSL at our peak had 50+ members on Regulos but have now since halted our concentration on this game with the impending release of Star Wars: the Old Republic.

With the impending launch of Guild Wars 2, many of us who played beta discovered that this would be yet another game where we could thrive once again.

RECRUITMENT

The Shadow Legion is currently looking for new members, however we are picky on who we let in. We are not a massive recruiting zerging guild, and if that’s what you’re looking for you’ll have to look elsewhere. As a PVP guild, we do not tolerate immaturity, drama, or any sort of disrespect amongst members. We are looking for fun people who can not only get along, but work alongside each other. We are looking for members who love to PVP as we have been a PVP guild since we formed in 1998. We look to dominate any server and/or game that we play and are looking for those who are striving to be the best.

The Shadow Legion is a PVP guild unlike any other. the guild has been successfully gaming since 1998 at the release of Ultima Online (Pacific server). Members look at the guild more as a family or group of friends who are very close and social group. the guild is more than just a tag above our members heads. the Shadow Legion is a name that we are all very proud to call ourselves. We are looking for a few more members as we embark on this new game.

What we are looking for:
We are looking for more fun, mature and social players who enjoy PVP’ing and are looking for a family of players who work well together to dominate any groups we face. We have players who are interested in every aspect of the game (PVP and PVE), but all of our members understand the importance of working together as a team.

Potential members MUST:
– Enjoy PVP. We are a PVP guild first and foremost.
– Have Mumble and a working mic
– be mature and have respect for others in the guild
– be able to have fun and enjoy playing with others
– be registered on our forums and it would be a good idea to give a short intro
- Always display the TSL tag while in WvW.

We are not looking for members who are drama queens, immature, or anti-social. We are a fun and close group of friends who are looking to add to our already successful group. Our guild ranges in gameplay style, from powergamer to casual evening and weekend types to when time permits type of players. We are all in our 20’s – 40’s. Due to the maturity requirement, we will likely only accept members who are 18+.

Feel free to read up on our history below and if interested, please go to our website (www.shadowlegion.net) and register and leave a message on our forums to introduce yourself.
