This week it looks like Tarnished Coast is going to win and get bumped back up to Tier 3. We are still looking for more overnight presence to help defend what we’ve taken during the day. We still don’t have enough overnight presence to win in the Tier 3 bracket and we also don’t have any queues during that time. If you’re an Oceanic or EU guild looking to move to a server with what is know as the best community in the game and where you would also have the best impact for a server… Tarnished Coast is a fantastic choice.

You can ask anyone who plays on Tarnished Coast, the community is like no other. The people playing in WvW have a ‘never quit’ attitude. You can read previous weeks WvW threads to see compliments by the opposition even when we lose in higher brackets, they’re all amazed at how we just keep coming back.

We have had a tremendous amount of our members in WvW every night. It’s something we really enjoy and we are looking for more people who like the competition of WvW. We use tactics and smart fighting to beat our enemies and like to focus on smart group PVP.

With the new server matchups this week it gives everyone a fresh start. As always, Tarnished Coast will put up one hell of a fight and we’re still looking for a few guilds to come over. You’ll have a server with a community like no other whose guilds have a never quit attitude.

In particular, we are looking for guilds to fill out our non-North American prime time hours. We probably have enough room for several large late night guilds as the queue times are zero during those times. Ugh… I read that he said he thought he’d be high in the standings if he got a night crew….

Doubt that. Blackgate finished this week in about 12 hrs…. just saying.

But I do think TC will be a good opponent if they get more players. I kept telling our commanders before the matchup to not take Stonemist at the start since it flips about 5 times the first few hours. They did that because our main commander (who wasn’t playing) said to…. sigh. You guys played smart by taking out all our supply and fortifying your main area on EB.

It was actually hilarious. We were using your SMC as a distraction, but we ended up taking it…. after that, the match was over. We did however get a good night crew from another server. If we only had that last week….

The match was ‘over’ after 12 hours because Blackgate already had one nights worth of fighting where they outmatched us. During the day, the match is much more even. Blackgate is a tough opponent for sure, but Tarnished Cost does extremely well during the daytime. We could always use more people and there is almost always a map that doesn’t have a queue, but at night it’s much more noticeable. This server would be perfect for any night time players that are looking for a solid server where they would have zero queue times, but also be able to enjoy the ‘community’ like feeling this server has. The maturity of players on this server is very high (I know there are always going to be a few bad apples).

Several people/guilds have already made their way over to Tarnished Coast. We are still looking for more. Right now the server is VERY competitive during the day, but we could use a little help during late nights PST. If you’re a late night player or Oceanic/European guild looking to make a move to a server that works well together, come over to Tarnished Coast.

I don’t know why so many people are saying they aren’t having fun. I know that myself and our guild (TSL) are having a great time. This has been a very challenging matchup and we have learned a lot of new things that will only make us stronger. We had a great fight yesterday on the Blackgate BL. We had absolutely nothing when I logged into the map. I asked everyone to group up and in typical TC fashion, everyone came together to try to get our map back. Eventually we were able to take back our camps and our tower and we held them until we got the outmanned buff (NICE PVE BUFF BY THE WAY) and were eventually outmatched based simply on numbers. The enemy had three times as many as we did just at our tower, and then another force just as large at our supply camp.

Anyone on TC who is wimpering during this week and thinking about moving to a different server… either suck it up and get back in there or please do leave. If the easily beat down players leave our server and go fill up spots on the top servers, it will only do them harm and not us.

The Shadow Legion (TSL) will see you all again tonight, tomorrow, the day after…. and the day after that. And like many others on this server, we will not quit.

Tarnished Coast won’t give up. We never have in any of the previous matchups, and we look at each week as an opportunity to learn more and improve. Already this week we have learned a lot about how higher ranking servers respond and move around. Looking forward to the rest of the week actually regardless of the score.

If it’s true that HoD guilds moved to Blackgate, that’s a little disappointing being that their ‘goodbye’ post suggested they were going to move to other servers to make them more balanced. I would have thought they were going to take on the challenge of a bottom tier server to push them up the ranks.

Regardless, if they are on Blackrock, I look forward to learning some of their tactics and putting them to use in the future. It’s been great fights so far.

Tarnished Coast is still looking for more players. We generally have a short queue during the day, but at night we could really use some more to come fight in WvW.

If you’re an Oceanic or European guild, you would enjoy a very competitive server and zero queue times during your peak hours. You can also ask anyone around, Tarnished Coast is one of the most cooperative servers around and there is no quit. People don’t just quit playing if our server gets behind in points. We rally and fight back.

Just my personal opinion, but I wouldn’t play an elementalist without toughness. Since I’ve switched to having toughness on both my D/D and Staff build, I doubt I’d ever go back.

For D/D I am Power/Toughness/Healing and it works well.

For Staff I am going to be using Knight’s gear and going Power/Precision/Toughness.

We have had yet another successful week as a guild. We have a few more fresh faces to add to our forces and we are still looking to add more. Not everyone will be the right fit for our guild as we are generally looking for PVP’ers who enjoy working with a group of fun individuals.

If you’re searching for something more than just a guild and are looking for a guild that is ‘home’, come check us out. We have done a fantastic job of finding people that fit in well with our guild. We are still looking for more people for late night (10pm – 10am pst). There are absolutely no queues during those times, and we remain extremely competitive during the rest of the days.

Even our queues during our prime time hours are not that bad. I’ve waited about 5 minutes usually when I get in game around 8pm.

As per the message above, here is a video that we like to think we had a hand in creating. This poor kid and his guild were probably fighting TSL in a previous game.

I swear you can hear the kid say “Ich hasse dich TSL”… translated it means “I hate you TSL”.

The Tarnished Coast has been a great server, and all of us from The Shadow Legion (TSL) are very happy we chose this server. It can not be stated enough how great the community is on this server.

Thanks for the compliments. My guild ‘The Shadow Legion (TSL)’ is very happy we chose Tarnished Coast and love the effort that is put in on this server. The tactics may not always be sound, but the willingness to improve is definately there. We are looking forward to seeing where this server will go in the months ahead.

If we had a little bit more of a late night presence with some additional Oceanic guilds, I think we would have been able to stay right with you, however like clockwork at about 11pm pst, we get the outmanned buff and start to loose towers and camps. Then the next morning we have to go and start reclaiming everything.

Nice fighting with you guys. We’ll hopefully have improved next time we meet.

I have had several people ask if our guild does PVE at all. Some of our members do some PVE, however we are very PVP focused.

We enjoy destroying the opposition. Those videos you see on YouTube where some kids is smashing his keyboard on his desk because someone killed him in game…. We like to think that was us he was fighting.

We enjoy completely dominating our opponents in game but at the same time having a good time in Vent chatting as a group of friends.

Help us do our part in making sure those videos keep getting made.

Very happy with the resilience of the Tarnished Coast players. In previous matches we have often seen other servers give up after the first few days wen they are down. Not Tarnished Coast. Every day out players are showing up even when first place is out if the question. For the first part of the week Tarnished Coast was in third however due to the nature of the players on this server and their ‘Never give up’ attitude, we have now pushed well into 2nd place and remain competitive all day.

Once this server gets a few more solid oceanic PVP guild this server will do extremely well.

Once again our server is showing how quickly we are improving and moving up the ranks. Currently we are facing Dragonbrand and Crystal Desert. During the day we are neck and neck against Crystal Desert and always hold more than Dragonbrand… however Dragonbrand outnumbers us at night. We are beating Dragonbrand in overall points.

Looking to add a few more solid guilds to our server for our Late Night group. Basically 10pm – 8amPST. Any Aussie or Asian guilds would be perfect and there would be NO queue times for you.

He has 976 Healing Power, ~780 condition damage, ~750 Vitality (on top of the base 916) and a bunch of toughness and power. (Mix of Shaman/Cleric/Soldier/Carrion gear plus his trait lines)

His spec looks to be ?/?/30/15+?/15 with the following major traits

• Elemental Attunement
• Earth’s Embrace
• Written in Stone
• Cleansing Wave

There is one more unknown earth trait, as well as 10 more trait points that is probably but not guaranteed to be in Water.

This is very similar to the build that I am using and I put the last 10 points into water for the extra healing and Cantrip Mastery.

I’m also a +power build and he is a +condition build….

You guys describe TC perfectly. When leading as commander in borderlands it almost makes the job easy with how well people work together on this server. We have a great group of guilds and any that seemed to have an Ego seemed to have left (recently). There are always going to be a couple people here or there that feel they have all the answers but they are quickly silenced by the overwhelming majority of the server who choose to work together.

With a few groups from the oceanic time zone we would have a 24/7 army.

TSL is very happy that we chose this server. We have no intentions of ever leaving.

Tarnished Coast is still looking for some more players who play during our late nights. 11pm-7amPST. This would be perfect for Oceanic/Asian players who are looking for a VERY competitive server. Right now there are no queue times for your hours on borderlands.

With a few people/guilds this server would quickly shoot up the server ladder. There have been some very good people transfer already so our late night population is growing but we could use some more to compete against the top1-5 servers.

As a guild that was formed in 1998, many of us have become good friends through the years and as such we are looking for individuals who are looking for a very close tight knit group of people.

TSG has been awesome since they have come over to TC. They are extremely well organized and have done a fantastic job. They are one of the reasons that a primarily NA server is now beating the snot out of an Oceanic server during the Oceanic servers prime time hours.

Hehe difference is, you dropped 130 points to Gate of Madness because your whole zerg is focused on us out of anger. So the actual point difference from this time of day is 150. Which should be noted if was the case all week, added up would make SoS the winner.

That being said, half our guild hasn’t even managed to get over because of server full and this is usually a night we don’t run organized WvW on. Lets see tomorrow.

Dude, you’re getting a total of 20 points right now. Thats about 100 points less per day than you were getting BEFORE you joined SoS. And yesterday when I logged on we were only getting 405 points per tick when I logged on at this same time (I get home at the same time from work each day). Today, we’re getting 550 points.

We’re GAINING…. you’re losing… and GoM is at roughly the same place as they were yesterday.

How is it that we’re sad you’re leaving? The Queue times are slightly better now so there will be people filling your spots… and we actually have MORE today in terms of what we own with RUN off the server than we did with you here!

I just logged in… it’s NA prime time… and with the immediate impact that Defiance should have as a large NA guild going to SoS… SoS now owns:

3 things… combined.

1 tower.

That’s worse than where SoS was at this time yesterday! Yesterday they owned at least 10 things!

Last night during Oceanic Peak hours there was no queue time for any of the borderlands and only about a 2 minutes wait for Eternal Battlegrounds and falling as NA players were heading to bed.

Could still fit some more Oceanic players looking for a very competitive server. Some quality players/guilds have already come over.

If you’re a late night player looking for a good server to call home come over to Tarnished Coast.

Why not? Many Aussie players have moved over and we still have all the maps dominated until 1am PST. When a few more guilds move over we will be more than competitive at all hours. During daytime we are dominating other servers when the prime time is mutual. As it is now, there is only a few hours now that SoS has the advantage.

Tarnished Coast is proving to be extremely competitive.

I don’t think TC is ever listed as ‘FULL’ during the Aussie prime time hours. Thats when we are not. If they merged with us, we’d go compete with the top servers for sure.

I am thinking of making a support build based on healing and condition removal but had a question.

If I have a 6 piece ‘Superior Rune of Dwayna’ bonus (“When you use a healing skill, you and all nearby allies gain regeneration for 5 seconds”), AND you have your 15 point water trait talent that regens all allies nearby…. can Water Cleansing then proc twice within seconds?

So if I switch to Water (Gaining regeneration and Water Cleansing) and then cast a heal just a second later… do I get 2 procs of Water Cleansing in a second?

The Shadow Legion has proven itself to be one of the most organized guilds in WvW time and time again. We are looking for other people who like to focus on WvW and enjoy giving the enemy a good beat down. We are a fun group that loves nothing more than to PVP.

Late at night during TC off hours the borderlands never have a queue. We could easily add several late night guilds and have room to spare. Right now during Pacific Standard prime time, TC has not been having any problems with servers. If we had a few late night guilds move over to TC, we’d shoot right up the ladder.

Our server has done a fantastic job of taking on other servers during the day. We push the enemy constantly and we are doing a fantastic job of taking control of the map. We do lack a few for our night crew and are looking for some wo would like to join us to help push us up the server ladder to compete against the big dogs.

I’ve really enjoyed being in the SoS borderlands. Tarnsihed Coast players are really coming together as a group and pitching in. Outstanding job tonight by everyone that participated. We held the Oceanic server off the map until about 12ampst…. so basically 6pm their time. Outstanding job.

I look forward to seeing you guys all again tomorrow on SoS borderlands and Tarnished Coast has more than a 10K lead when we were down by 7K this morning when I got up. Fantastic rally!

Tarnished Coast player here and Co-Guild Leader of TSL. It’s pretty disappointing that after having successfully taken the orb ourselves and then defended it for several hours that such a thing exists. I’m hoping that the GM’s can track who the last person was that took the Orb is and then perma ban them.

This is not something that TSL or anyone on Tarnished Coast condones. And I am glad to see that members of GoM as disappointed as we are. I’d rather come in last than cheat.

Zeikai, I understand that you’re upset that we kicked you out of the guild, but show some maturity if you could. You were never even in the guild for more than a couple of days, and you were removed because you were constantly arguing with people and being disruptive. On top of that, you were never grouping with TSL members.

For over 14 years TSL has been a guild that prides itself on the bond that is there between each member. We don’t accept drama or people who are constantly disruptive in the guild. You are proof that we don’t have a problem removing someone who is causing a problem. The trash talking that you gave several members after being removed was further proof that we did the right thing. Many guilds would have allowed someone such as yourself to stay simply because they want the numbers…. we do not.

By the way, TSL has 42 members on right now and 25 of them are in the SoS borderlands and another 10 are in queue. You can ask anyone who sees us in WvW about how organized and coordinated we are…. you know, since you were never there with us.

As far as ‘scrapping our armor’. We have guild colours that TSL has used since the guild was formed back in UO. This is mentioned on the application. We do NOT require anyone to use the guild emblem and destroy their armor that they have worked hard for.

For the rest that are reading this forum, I am sorry for the Drama that has been brought into this thread. It was just a small sample of what he caused in guild, and will likely continue to show here in the thread (Just as he did in guild).

We are still looking for PVP’ers as we are a heavy WvW focused guild.

Last night TSL brought about an onslaught over the enemies on the Ehmry Bay borderlands. The moment we got on our server had one supply camp and our own keep. TSL quickly formed up and assaulted Greenbrier Tower and then the route was on.

We quickly moved up and took Longview and mounted a siege against the Garrison. Tonight, unlike our previous attempt, there would be no bugged Lord in our way. He quickly fell and a demoralized Ehmry bay server tried to quickly recover. Before they could mount a counter-attack, TSL was already sieging their last tower which quickly fell. Without supply camps, Ehmry Bay learned a brutal lesson on how swift TSL could move and take control of a map….

At this time Maguuma, possibly thinking we had over-extended ourselves, began attacking Greenbrier. This was a costly mistake for them. As they had mounted a full out attack on one of our towers, TSL sent back a handful of defenders to break their siege. The rest of our force headed for the Etheron Hills Keep and quickly took control of the Maguuma keep…. their Bluelake tower fell not long after.

For nearly 3 hours as TSL was on in force, we devastated both enemy servers armies and marched over them leaving a trail of bodies in our path. Whether towers were heavily fortified or not, it did not matter. They fell all the same. After some time it became obvious that both of the other servers had quit as they began to fail mounting any significant comeback at all. Finally, after several hours of bloodshed, TSL began to leave the borderlands and call it a night.

I’m tired of sitting on my level 80 doing nothing while I wait in a queue. I think it would be a great idea of you could make it so that I could log on my alt that I could Queue with and level while waiting…. then when the queue comes up and asks me to join it gives me the option to select which character I want to join with.

TSL is once again laying siege to the enemy. Tonight we are in borderlands and have already begun to push the enemy back. We do not play a zerg style of WvW. We use tactics we have established to make the most our of our forces. We can quickly overwhelm an enemy as they find they can not fight us as they are too used to playing as a zerg and not used to facing groups with a solid foundation in tactics.
