Yes, this is not good for anyone. The coverage in EU T9 is very sporadic. I would not say there are no players left, but the times there is any action is small.
Does anyone know if free account choose their severs on start up? Or just when they play WvW? I hope they get to choose when they play WvW and not on startup, when they get a chance to meet people, shame to force them to move to play WvW. Anyhow with the 23rd Oct launch date maybe people will be back in WvW soon?

BT look to be getting the lowest score this week of any server. I dunno what happened mid week they were just a few k ahead of us (UW) and now its a definite gap that cannot be closed. But then the same could be said of FOW we were close at one point and then suddenly they seemed to get ahread by 20k a day each time I checked in the morning, guess they have a lot of night ppl about

I wonder how much the dailies effect server pop? Its much quicker to get some land or kill dollies or take camps than do the <> events in pve to get your dailies.

The problem is that with so much upgraded and so many WPs its just impossible to play. Cos a WP means you can pull in people every 3mins it makes taking things very very hard. It means there is little shift on the map. If you want to upgrade things that is fine but the problem with it is that maybe once a day UW have enough people to take these things and the other times not (except Sept she would take SM on her own!) You say we have given up – probs. The fact that Anet posted a video saying that they are going to work on this after HoT is out makes me think why bother? This has all been a problem for ages and BT is the nail in the coffin but having to wait so long?

what do you say about the guy(or guys I don’t know if is the same one) in uw and fow servers that camp on wp and invites people to join bt? He seems to be always there, and he follows us if we change bl, he spies and reports our movements and what we plan to do, to people in bt and then a zerg arrives . You can undestand that this guy is not just an individual as he reports to people from your server.The solution is not to tag and not talk to chat but that makes it very difficult to communicate and have more than 4-5 people with you.

I’m sorry to tell this, but every higher tier server does this. I’m sorry that it happens to your server as well, but in higher tiers, this is a normal thing to do.

If this is the ‘normal thing to do’ then thats pretty sad. Its sad people can’t just play the game and feel the need to cheat. Maybe they are just too unsure of themselves that they have to win no matter what.

I don’t see why I should pay to change servers for a gamemode that could/should be fixed by the developers.

And if you can’t understand that you need to move out from your parents house and start earning your own money coz clearly you don’t know what spending personal money is for something that shouldn’t be broken in the first place.

I really wish pve’rs would stop posting this sort of crap in the wvw forums. Wvw players end up buying gems to convert to gold to pay for the things you want in order to play wvw- or force themselves to go on a mindless boss event 100 times or chase chests in SW in order to raise the gold to do what they actually log on to do, which is play wvw.

Due to the behavior of some Blacktide players….Fissure and Underworldplayers have chosen to not play WvW anymore this week.
It has been almost a month with Blacktide members harrassing the underworld server Spamming with their double account..how much Underworld sux..humiliating us all the time and that we should reroll to Blacktide..also possessing siege,,so we cant defend our Keep. Stealing golems and destroy them. Staying ingame and reportback what happends in our chat .Following our commanders. and so on. All they can do to destroy our game and get obvious advantages.

I hope algorithm is going to change things over the coming weeks. In the T9 I am in all the servers are medium yet we have a massive imbalance of player numbers. The population tiers feel to wide. Does it mean all medium servers will play each other at some point? The matchups are sooo stale atm

Esp as the armour costs badges and money and then you cannot MT or salvage it. It works out cheaper to get it from temples.

To me my PvE is really to fund my WvW. I need gold. I get it better in PvE and the spend it for WvW. Incidentally I went into WvW today and BG was empty. No enemies no allies……just a bunch of empty golems.

Same here. PvE is the bankroll for WvW.

It’s because the fact that people already predicted this before it even happened, it’s because it’s every time more frustrating how Anet just cares about their PVE playerbase and new players and doesn’t take any attention to the veteran playerbase, or a game mode as it is WvW, that has such loyal players and after all, makes the name of the game you are playing “Guild Wars”. Maybe it should be named “Spam Wars” to be more fitted to the actual game

u can check the link in some1 signature few post up, tho im glad BT got some people on WvW now and hopefully if the cheater ever stays away u guys keep up the “good” work, but atm upgrading is easy cus no1 is even trying from UW/FoE whatever we take whatever we upgrade he by pass everything straight to the guard he need and takes it.

I hope they dont take the feedback of people who have played it for all of 10-15 minute too seriously. There will always be people who are resistant to change and refuse to give things even the smallest of chances before going on the attack.

Let’s let the week play out and, if it proves to not be fun, make suggestions on how it could be made so. Saying “it’s horrible” or “it’s pve” (which it definitely isnt unless the golems start controlling themselves) this early isnt really constructive feedback. Its complaining to be complaining.

I have been playing on the same server since I started GW’s so I don’t see not moving as a problem. We were not always a T9 server it just shows how much servers can move about because people jump ship or chase the prize. Some of us just want to play and have fun without being constantly steamrollered

1) It is very limited in value, regardless of all the WvW people using it.
2) If the ability is rolled into actual gameplay it has no value at all.
3) In every case it is taking up 1/3 of all the available traits for that line and tier. If you want to use that trait, now, it is also taking up 1/3 of all your trait lines since you have to run that line too. We have extremely limited options and would be better off with something that impacts combat than something like fall damage reduction.

Would you seriously have an issue with the removal of fall damage reduction if that was just a straight game mechanic?

My only complaint with this is that it’s very much not lag friendly. It can’t be.

Can someone from Anet explain to me why I should have to pay IRL money or in game gold to move servers because the WvW server I am on is so quiet it is imbalanced with the other servers it plays against.
I like to PLAY gw’s. My playing is WvW which means I do not have in game gold to move servers and neither do a number of people I know. Why does this mode and only this mode have possible extra expense that you do not see in other game modes? Why should I have to farm for hours (which I would hate) to be able to move servers? And IF I did move am I guaranteed that I will not have to again. Why is the onus on the WvW players and not on the mode to be fixed? And how does all this moving help the people who are left behind? How does it help the casual players? How does it help the new players? Why is there this pushing to farm farm farm? Why can’t some of us be left to play cos its fun not for the drops (cos WvW does not give much lets face it) and not have to worry the next time we log on more people we have been playing with have moved servers? Come on Anet staff, I challenge you to play for a month in T9 and see the reality of WvW

First trait I put on any of my chars incase I die all the time in WvW. Dunno how people play without it.

More prefer the option to do damage things as I fall as it often drags me into combat I do not want.

That has to be the least thought out post I’ve read on here. Golems are a very useful and fun piece of WvW Equipment. A Golem Garage would help prevent actual grieving by preventing bad players from stealing, joy riding, and dumping them off cliffs, etc. Golems should be viewed and treated as personal pieces of property in game. Especially at 4g a piece!

When my original guild left our starting server we did significant homework on the possible landing sites. We sent scouts out to the final three(with guild money), and decided based on their experiences. None of the servers we investigated were bandwagon servers.

But the point is if people move than others can so so can end up in the same situation again. Anet just need to sort this problem out rather than forcing people to move. Moving for different game play is one thing being forced is another. The server lists should be more relevant with the lists of populations

I dunno Just cos a server is a high tier does not mean its a great server for that person. Some people don’t want to queue, some don’t want blobs. I think its hard to know when your new what you want. I think if someone has never played WvW then they should not be inc in the pop of that server. Its ashame there is no way to show the people who play (more the dailies!) WvW on a server and have more dividing lines than high, very high etc maybe the blocks are too large? WvW ranks mean nothing cos they can be from EotM.
I still also think there some be some kinda benefit from playing on a server even when its pop goes down and basically trying to keep it going. I really love the WvW mode (last nite someone asked why we were trying to take a T3 keep with 3 people defending it was hard and took ages and we failed but managed to take the T3 SM again with 3 defending – we had low numbers and he was asking why not goto EotM – simple answer – this is fun) it is fun or can be. And the people and community can be great. But it needs some love from Anet it really does.
