Ok so when a skill says combo initiator and combo finisher, is that important? Lol, cuz i just noticed it and was like, hmm tht must be important. Does it give you anything special. Note i play elementatlist inly so far. In gw1 there was, for the assassin, lead attack off hand then something else. Is there something like that here or is it just combo initiator and finisher?

Right now it seems its free but for how much longer?

Ok, the problem is the world Im in now, no one is willing to help, if there is then they sadly log off soon, what is a good world to transfer to that isnt full, and does decent in wvw?

Hmm, so do people really transfer that much? And will it be free to transfer forever?

I am trying to transfer worlds to one that is usually full. I konw that you can transfer to that world if you try when enough people log off. So, what time do you guys think is a good time to try and transfer, I tried like 6:30 in the morning already.

Do you use 0/10/0/30/30 on WvW too?

So I’m a total noob, Ill admit. I have no idea what to do in WvW. I have an Elementalist who is only like lvl 15 (been addicted to pvp). I don’t understand anything in WvW. Is there like a video guide. Like I dont know anything about the squad functions, I don’t know any tactics, I waste time looking for something to do, ankittenep dying and having to respawn miles away.

So i read this on the wiki:
“She sells mystic recipes for coin and mystic items for skill points that are used in crafting items specific to the forge”
Does that mean that you can pretry much?get an unlimited number of skill points to be able to continuously afford these? And what coin are they talking about?

So do all cantrips break fear? Because Im prety sure it didnt work on me, although it could have been that thet applied the fear after? Does stability prevent fear too?

I am currrently running 0/0/10/30/30 too. Ill try the 0/10/0/30/30 build too, but what should I put down for traits, like what specifically?

I use the same build u are using, but find myself with not as many kills. What do you think of a pure damage build 30/30/10/0/0 build?

Hey Vaerah,

My build is 10 air 20 earth 30 water and 20 arcana.
10 air> zephy’s boon
10 earth> earth’s embrace
20 water >soothing disruption, cleansing wave
20 arcana > elemental attunement , arcane shielding

The last 10 points are optional, but the above 60 points I feel are vital to any tanking/roaming/aoe dps build.

I put my last 10 points in either water, earth or arcane
For water> cleansing water
For arcana> evasive arcana
For earth> stone splitters

Armor
Full Doylaks
PvP Soldier’s amulet

Weapons
Dagger 5% dmg
Dagger +10 power per kill

I will put a more in depth guide later/reasoning as to why I picked skills/traits/armor/weapons with PvP tips and tricks as an elementalist/general PvP tips.

This build looks nice, but what if you put in the ten extra points into air? To increase crit damage and cirt chance. And what were the utility skills?

All cantrips break fear? I thought they only broke stuns? Also are you talking about blinding flash?

One of the main things I find as the bane to elementalist (me ) is the millions of mesmer illusion, there r just so many. Also the necromancers fear ability. How do i counter the two?

Could you provide detail to the build, like traits, skills, and weapons used.

I found a good tanky build that works for me. But is d/d good on elementalist? Or should i stick with s/d

I guess ill try water, but I really dont like staff at all, I do like s/f, haven’t tried s/d or d/d but looks good. Arcane seems even more useless to me then water, Im talking about the utility skills, havent read any of the raits for any attunement btw. Hahah sorry if i sound like a noob cuz I am. I like fire alot, because of the damage, and burning condition.

I find the elementalist the hardest profession, although im new to this game . How should I build my elementalist, i want a bit tanky and alot of damage. I find water attunement to be kind of useless. Earth to be surprisingly powerful. Any suggestions?

Hey Im trying to get HoM rewards, but I double click on it, and it wont let me drag and drop the items. Also its only working on my Norn character, doesnt even have the item on my asura. Please help

I have a normal keyboard, so what should I make my keybindings be?

I have an elementalist lvl 8. What should my hands be resting on in terms of keys . I find it hard to use my utility skills and switch b/w attunements AND move around.
