You don’t buy keys, not interested in ever buying keys, yet you think it’s too expensive. That would be like me walking into Starbucks and tell them to lower their price to $1 a cup because I think it’s too expensive, even though I don’t drink coffee.

So what you are really asking is for ANet to cut their primary source of income between releases which is the sale of gems with cash. Good luck with that.

Bad analogy re Starbucks. The big difference is I want to support Anet’s no-subscription model, that’s what attracted me to GW in the first place. I just refuse to pay what I consider to be unfair prices to support them. If keys were cheaper, I’d be more likely to buy keys and I have no doubt that they will earn more if they were to reduce prices due to greater volume of purchases.

Not accurate but to illustrate – Anet release a widget for $10 dollars each. Only 50 ppl will be willing to pay that much ($500). If they changed the price to $2, it’d be more affordable and more people can justify to themselves the cost resulting in more customers…. say 1000 people. That’s $2000 right there. The cost reduction doesn’t have to be permanent, it could be once in a while sale where they sell keys for 90% off. They could even add a cap like people only can buy 25 per sale period.

As for junk items, shrug, they’ll have to figure out something… if there’s a will there’s a way.

My analogy is Dom Perignon, people rave about how delicious it is and so on but I will be kitten ed if I shell out $100+ for a bottle. I’d love to taste it given an opportunity but I can’t justify the cost. If the company decided to reduce the cost to perhaps $40 even for a short sale period, I just might go ahead and splurge for a special event.

Your skins are in your wardrobe. There is no need do save/store skins! Delete them. If you want to use them at some point, just use them from your wardrobe with transmutation charges. I’ve done that with over 400 skins (mostly gemshop skins) and I still don’t understand why anyone would “save” the skin item in his bank instead of just putting it into the wardrobe.

If your real problem is that you don’t have enough “transmutation charges” than just do map completion in every city and every pvp daily. Transmutation charges are one of the few blc items that are literally thrown at you. (I use lots of them and I still have over 250 charges, there is just no way to ever use them all)

Not everybody are awesome like you. I only have about 70 charges and I used only one charge so far. And yes I am doing dailies everyday.

i track mine myself. i accidentally, through clicking too fast, selected ‘charming’ instead of ‘ferocity’ in dialogue. i now need to find 70 ways to select ferocity to get my desired personality set correctly.

Same, I even had a spreadsheet keeping track of my 8 characters’ personality traits along with their background story so I could keep their personality “in character”

Too bad Anet decided in its infinite wisdom(?) to remove this.

Funny thing I was just about to suggest the same. Just make all characters’ inventories accountwide. It’d be cumulative too, if I have 9 characters with all bag slots unlocked, I would be able to access all of those via my character’s inventory. They could have window tabs per character so I can identify which stuff I have on what character. Furthermore, Anet could develop a new bag whose properties is to lock its items to that character so I don’t mess up which weapons I want to stay on what character.

We already spend time shuffling items across characters via mail or via bank so why not remove the physical barrier between character inventories?

If Anet want, they could make this a gem store “service” – I’d pay for this.

Some people say buying BLKeys are like playing lottery. I’m sorry but 21000 gems for a full stack? This is more than absurd.

Even when those keys are on sale, they are way too expensive. If my math is correct, that’s $262.50 for 250 keys if you were to buy gems using money.

If you bought those keys using real money, either you have money to burn or you are no better than those suckers paying to play on that Kardasian app or Clash of Clans. Makes me wonder if PT Barnum runs Anet.

I have no problem with Anet selling keys but prices definitely need to be way lower. Also keys need to drop in game and more often.

I bet you if prices were lower, more of us would be willing to buy keys and Anet will reap more profit due to greater volumes.

I second this, I was shocked when I learned hard way recipes aren’t accountwide – it just didn’t make sense to me at all.

You know those banners guilds often create in a map which bestow you extra xp, crafting, magic find, etc?

I suggest that those banners appear on mini-map or on the zone you are in on the larger map (the one you access by pressing M).

As of now, those banners can be used by anybody and it’d be a great boon for players if we could see whether if there’s a banner set up somewhere in our current map so we can decide to wp nearby or not.

First of all, sorry if this was already brought up (I did a search which came up nothing) and if this is a wrong place for this topic.

One thing which annoys me the most about doing group events are that I often accidently pick up a warrior banner while spamming ‘F’ for autoloot.

Is there a way to set up my options to ignore those banners?

It’d be great if Anet could at least confirm it’s a bug or there’s a legitimate way to get there and we are just too much of a noob to figure it out.

A bit off track here – when first generation of perm harvesting tools came out, I immediately bought them for each of my 9 characters. At that time I didn’t think they’d create other versions and IIRC those were soulbound back then. Even if they were always accountbound to begin with, I’d have bought 9 copies anyway since I didn’t want to spend time shuffling those across characters via bank or whatever.

So when watchwork pick came out I was pretty upset because I could see benefits yet I couldn’t justify buying other 9 copies of a perm-pick.

IMO there should be an option for people to exchange older tools for new tools instead of having to decide between keeping old tools or buying new ones. For instance, the molten pick looks great on this character but flute pick would mesh better with other character, blah blah.

I’d even be satisfied with with a small exchange fee (75% off perhaps?) to exchange in old tools for new tools. Even if it’s just skin/animation effect change and nothing else I’d be fine with that. To clarify, in this situation if I was to turn in a molten pick for a watchwork pick using the exchange fee, I’d not receive the spocket bonus since it’s only the animation and skin change.

Anyway back to the discussion.

Honestly, it sounds like you’d be perfect for us. I tend to play at odd hours so most guilds I’m in are often inactive during those hours. So I decided to try to create a guild of fellow players who have odd hours. And I like people to be themselves as long they’re not actively trying to annoy others ha. I get hyper pretty often so let’s bounce once in a while – even if you don’t give us a try, friend me anyway.

Introduction
Hello! After so many attempts to find that ideal guild filled with people who tend to get online during late hours server time, I decided to try my hand at creating a guild targeting those players.

Purpose
First of all, there is absolutely no requirement to represent at all! The objective of the guild is to create a space where you know you can find 20+ players who are likely to be on during same time as you. If you want to make this guild your permanent home, that’s cool. If you prefer to stay in your original guild or whatnot and represent us whenever you want to hang out with folks and it’s lonely in your guild, that’s good too!

A bit about myself – I’m 36 years old who is married and have an adorable infant daughter. I also have a full-time career. So do not expect me to be online every single second of the day. When you log in, select world (or something like that) you will see different servers’ level of activity. 1am EST places you at 10pm my time. Pretty much many servers are active. Personally I know Jade Quarry, Borlis Pass, and Crystal Desert are active at that time.

To be honest if you want activity, I’d recommend focus on seeking a guild with an active roster during your playing time.
