yes an up leveled is pretty much a free kill. it is pretty much like a lvl80 with lvl20 gear vs. a lvl80 with lvl80 gear + ascended gear.
you also have to know how other the class’s mechanics work so you know how to counter them.
while we’re at it, can racial skills particularly norn elites not be so useless? maybe nerf the bear and snow leopard rush skills but make them have a 30 sec cooldown so you can have them up 100% of the time since the skills are incredibly underwhelming anyway.
It is indeed “missing”. The scepter somehow became “Soulbound on ACQUIRE” with the last patch, thus removing all from the TP. I doubt this was intended and submitted a bug report myself. Hopefully it’s fixed, as it’s a great scepter. I have one myself but it automatically became bound with this patch on a toon it’s not meant for. T_T
you can always use a transmutation crystal to switch it to the right character
why not just a moba style map, instead of towers it’ll have capture points instead. then maybe have a small squad of npcs to who ever caps the point. it’ll kind of look like smite
don’t really care about gvg but the whole snowballing thing would be a problem. there are already blowouts in every matchup, usually when a server is losing that badly they just give up and people don’t show up anymore.
the orb buff also gives lower population servers no chance of putting up a fight at all.
i love how no one even cared about warriors until a couple weeks ago when nothing has changed about them. no one qq’d 2-3 months till after the changes.. it’s like one baddie decides to cry and the rest just come flocking in and the qq’s just snowball. perhaps after conditions get toned down you’ll see more decent mesmers and eles teach you guys how to deal with a warrior and all you guys can jump on that bandwagon.
well my warrior was my first ever character and it is still the only character i play in this game. i will admit that leveling in this game was so painfully boring. i didn’t start having fun till i got to 80l, cause i feel that the game doesn’t actually start till you reached maxed level. ever since i got my warrior fully equipped with the best gear all i’ve ever done since launch was roam in wvw and pvp.
the combat and all the different class mechanics are what keeps me playing this game.

healing signet buff was what made warriors viable, without it you will see warriors as the free kills they once were. also, once rangers and necros get tuned down, you will see a lot more mesmers and eles that will be farming warriors all day again.
Wrong, its Berserker Stance. This skill would be fair if they got rid of all Warrior stun breaks on the stances so that people ACTUALLY play stances correctly to be effective. Same change needs to happen for all other classes too because there is too much power mitigation in this game.
Also as for heals, healing Surge is fine and is still strong. Problem with Signet is thakittens brainless where as Healing Surge requires plays to be effective.
when zerker stance got buffed warriors were still a joke, one of the biggest problem was that our heals were so underwhelming. you can a stance build without healing sig and you’ll notice that you can’t sustain yourself for too long and would drop a lot faster.

i think they need something like what zkeys did, cause everything you gain in the mist can’t be used outside of it. you can play hundreds of hours in spvp but as soon as you step into the pve world it is as if you haven’t even been playing the game at all. maybe converting glory into gems or something.
Or maybe pvp chests could reward you with pve mats and such.

I don’t feel incentives have a real place in pvp. Its more of a pve thing. Gw1 didn’t have them. The only thing it had was balthazar points to buy skills. Of course gw2 can’t follow suit since there aren’t many skills in the game.
I agree about passives and rng though, they shouldn’t even be in pvp. Where you find rng, you find no skill.

how are ascended items a gear treadmill anyway? after ascended armor comes out there will be nothing else after that.

wow big kittenin deal, i already have ascended trinkets and an ascended weapon isn’t gonna make too much of a difference.
and with all the crafting you have to do to get it i’m not even gonna bother getting ascended weapons. i’ll stick with exotics and still spank scrubs with dual legendaries in wvw.
they should just bring back the drunken title and made the alcohol so that your character gets drunk again.
sorry bro but i don’t think you understand how irrelevant spvp is in the gw2 world. the fans at that event are what pretty much makes 90% of the gw2 community, they are they ones that are into the lore, art, and everything in the pve side of the game. everyone there (including the devs) are oblivious as to what is going on in the spvp realm.
everyone there was looking forward for new features in pve, storyline, etc. i doubt anyone was there for the tourny itself. i have no problems with it, it just is what it is.
It’s unfortunate that spvpers never experience the competitive side of roaming wvw. The average zerger is bad of course, but the dedicated small scale roamers are as good as spvpers. Obviously skill levels vary by person, but I’ve fought people in wvw that could meet or beat anyone I’ve fought in s/tpvp. I’d think with all the reminiscing about DAoC there’d be more understanding about open world combat, but guess not.
yea i like the small scale skirmishes in wvw more than the action in pvp. i mean the combat is why i still play this game, it’s nice to just straight up go deathmatch style and just kill each other without worrying about capturing points. and if you think about it, wvw is actually more balanced than pvp cause of how op everything is with foods and ascended gear.
only downside is that you might have to do a little pve to acquire your gear.

Don’t get rid of zerker, just make content that requires something other than DPS checks, and few but easy to avoid attacks that can be dodged everytime without viger.
exactly, in pve all you need is zerker gear cause dps is the only viable set to run. the gw2 trinity was supposed to be dps, control, and support. but the thing is, it’s not necessary to run anything aside from dps.
why would you guys want to get rid for team deathmatch (aka hotjoin) as it is the only alternative to conquest mode?
there already is a deathmatch mode in this game… it’s called hotjoin

yea, racial skills are pretty kitten useless. you should see all the norn skills, useless elites that make you weaker and get you one shotted. this kind of destroyed the lore for the races. in gw1, norns were these shape shifting giant warrior hunters that have no need for armies. gw2 norns are kinda kitten lol
dude you’re one of those people who still runs a glass cannon a/s gs combo, no wonder you’re terrible. there are a lot of problems with the warrior class, but not necessarily what you listed. you need to learn to play and change the title to “why i’m the worst warrior in pvp”

So since anet is going to completely overhaul the way the reward system works in pvp, I thought I would make a couple of suggestions regarding how glory could be used.
As of now, everyone knows that there is pretty much nothing to spend your glory on as I’m sure most people have thousands of glory just laying around. I am also sure that no likes the rng chests systems. So why not put in a vendor that sells all the armor and weapons skins for glory. The basic looking armor being the cheapest and the more prestigious gear (like the weapons in pve that can only be crafted or cultural armor) being more expensive, and maybe legendaries for a couple million glory.
Perhaps this will give players a sense of progression and something to aim for. I know this alone won’t keep people playing the game, but in my experience; getting a new look has always reinvigorated and kept the game fresh for me.
Another use of glory should be that it could be converted into gems or gold. Sort of like how Zaishen Keys worked in gw1, if all you did was pvp there was still a way to earn money. This way, mainly pvpers can have a reason to check out the other game worlds (pve & wvw), rather than them spending all this time and effort getting gear and achievements in pvp then step into the pve world only to feel like they haven’t accomplished a single thing, it is as if they had to start all over again. The same can also be said for people who step into pvp after only playing pve, but that’s for a different topic.
make it so that you can buy all the weapon and armor skins purchasable with glory as well. like for example having the basic starting looking armor as the cheapest and the exotics and cultural armors being the more expensive ones. and this goes for weapon skins as well. it’ll give people something to work towards.
