I absolutely loved the new mechanics in every single one of the fractals. Just completed every single one of them, except the boss fractal, with my guild. All of them have a unique mechanic to them and different approaches and cannot wait to experience the different paths you can take. The dungeon difficulty was fairly low but should be able to pick up on higher points. My favorite is split between the colossus fractal and the jumping puzzle fractal, can’t decide.

I keep dieing in 5 mans help plz

It is difficult to answer specifically to your question, because dungeons are not so much as your specific build as it is the overall build of your team and the synergy cooperation you have. If everyone in your party goes Glass Cannon DPS, you will wipe and have huge repair bills. If everyone in your party goes Control Tank you will have a very tough time getting past of the bosses since they have huge health pools and it will take hours. The most important thing is how your team comes together by helping each other mitigate damage, doing damage and controlling your enemies. Every person must be active dodger and be aware of the abilities of the enemy in order to maintain himself as a useful part of the team. So talk to your team before going in, trait yourself and your abilities to suit the best for that particular dungeon. Also, watch videos on youtube on strategies recommended for each path (there is a great thread on the dungeon subforum).

Now specifically for elesdepending on what you want to do. If you want to DPS use your staff and summon fire greatsword for really good damage. If you want to be more control dagger-dagger gives you great abilities but since you are a squishy class you need to be really good at dodging. The other important thing for eles is that you need to constantly switch attunements to fulfill different roles. If you want to be able to survive better stack runes and attributes equally in both toughness and vitality.

Let me just point out that Dungeons can be extremelly fun, but you have to be geared up properly and have the right team, traits and skills (note that I did not say profession as any profession can fulfill any role in combat and switch between these roles). Dungeons are not easy, and explorables are even less so don’t expect that the builds and tactics used in the open world will work here. Have fun, if you need some help hit me up in game as I am constantly running dungeons and can give you some tips.

I am experiencing the same issue in the green borderlands. This is my home world. Playing on Henge of Denravi, NA.

Can we get a collectibles tab for RARE crafting materials? What about dungeon tokens?

I would love this as well. I love crafting in GW2 but it does take a lot of bank space. And even if you can and are willing to purchase bank space (like me) there is a limit to how much you can get.

+1 to this. I agree a lasting reward for the explorers in the game is great. ANET built such a great game that a lot of people should go out and see. This would provide a great incentive to do this.

Engineer Weapon Swapping

You have to consider that while the kits do occupy a slot in either the healing or the utility skills you have their respective profession abilities (F1 through F4 by default) to compensate. Basically it would be the same as having your utility slots free and having your profession abilities be your kits (I think this is a better layout BTW). The low count of weapons is due to the high amount of kits making an engineer much more diverse than even the elementalist with the appropriate build. You can have up to 5 weapons to swap.

Like someone said before, the only problem I see is the lack of diversity underwater, since all kits are blocked underwater except the elixir gun. I think they should allow all kits to work underwater to solve this. This is similar to all the attunements of the elementalist working underwater. Think of the uproar if fire attunment was not available while swimming.

Dungeon rewards are not mandatory, you are not required to get them in order to be effective in the game. There are several ways you can get similar gear with much less grind. You are making the choice to repeat this dungeons because you either like the skins and want them or you like the ’’bragging rights" that come attached to those. Guild Wars 2 is not a game without grind it is a game where grind is an option.

I agree with the original poster, this option would allow for players to get armors in a much similar way than what they would do to get legendary items. By allowing people to complete dungeons with the profession they prefer or need for speed runs would ease the process and would allow to get the armor for the character you want.
