Please use the thread above to discuss these issues.
From another thread:
We’ve got fixes for 3D, Nvidia Surround and AMD Eyefinity coming down the pipe in the next few builds.
I believe the next build will contain fixes for 3D, including the inability to launch with 3D enabled. I’m not 100% sure, but we have some fixes for Nvidia Surround in the works too and might even slip a couple of those in that build, too.
We’ll be continuing to hammer away and get these issues all resolved. Thanks for hanging in there everyone!

Bump….I mean, hey! I have an update!

Yes, Nvidia 3D vision is supported in full-screen only. We are looking into enabling this in windowed-fullscreen, too.
The issue brought up in the OP will be addressed in the next patch. Also make sure you are running in 120hz and with a 3D compatible display.

Refer to the post above for info on this.

This will be addressed in the next patch and also a handful of other 3D issues.
You don’t need to speak to the NPC in order to do the cattlepult Vista. Just interact with the cattlepult itself once you’re able to click on it .

If you guys are still hitting this issue on the Enchanted Bow skill challenge, this is because the fix didn’t make it into tonight’s build . We have the fix and will put it into our next build, which hopefully will be sooner than later.
We’re sorry about the hassle this has caused a lot of you. I can assure you that this skill challenge nightmare will be over soon.

Just gonna stop by and let you guys know that we are aware of ALL of the issues with AMD Eyefinity and Nvidia Surround. We’re prioritizing these things, which can be a bummer for those of you that have these awesome setups, but will definitely be addressing them in the near future.
I’m glad the camera fixes that we got in addressed the issue with the camera getting stuck. The UI placement and all those wonky issues with character select, creation, cinematics, etc will get some love, too, soon.
By the way, I’ll keep my eye out for any new issues that pop up with these setups. Your voices are being heard .

And you’re welcome!
Well, finally got it working. Installing as we speak.
After following all of the above suggestions to no avail I went into Windows Update (for XP, under control panal -> security center -> windows updater ) and downloaded every single (nonessential, software, and hardware) update available from Microsoft’s website. No idea why I didn’t think of this earlier, but now it’s working.
I hope this helps some people. Good Luck and see y’all in game!
: )
This was most likely not having Service Pack 2 or later, which is REQUIRED to play the game . I say this with all caps because it will block the updating process without some of the security updates included in these service packs.
If you haven’t already, make sure to install Service Pack 1, 2, and 3 if you have Windows XP!

For people trying to install from disk, try downloading Gw2Setup.exe from:
https://account.guildwars2.com/download/win
Once downloaded, run this file to run a more recent version of the installer. There’s a known issue that has been blocking a very small number of players from installing from the .exe included on the retail disks.

Alternatively, you can download and install the latest AMD Catalystâ„¢ Application Profiles to fix this issue.
- The latest Application Profiles can always be found here.
- After installing these profiles, you must restart your computer for them to take effect.
Hello!
SLI works quite well, but we advise players to run Nvidia drivers 304.48 or later for this to run properly.
You can get these drivers here: http://www.geforce.com/drivers/beta-legacy
Also make sure to perform a ‘Clean’ installation .
-Bill
This is by design. The puzzles indicate that this is a combo field
Yes this is because of a hardware failure (or failing). The files that your computer are writing to the disk don’t match up with what they are supposed to be, which is why the game crashes.
Your memtest results pretty much nailed the issue, which sucks because you have bad hardware . Hope you get this resolved and back in-game!
-Bill
SLI works great with the latest beta drivers from Nvidia, go for it.
I’d also make sure you have proper ventilation and that your GPU fans are actually kicking in. MSI Afterburner is a great utility to monitor and even set a custom fan profile.
