I hate jumping puzzles with a passion. If someone wants to offer me a portal for money, what’s wrong with that? You pay for the time, which means you don’t have to wait around until someone is advertising it for free in LFG. Not that I’ve ever paid someone to do this, but were I to care enough about AP I wouldn’t hesitate!

Then contact an admin. Usually, admins have a special icon. Hover over an icon to see what it means.

Usually, a tag means you’re part of a Server Group. Right click your name and select Server Group. Deselect the one you don’t want. Otherwise, talk to an admin of your server.

If your problem is multiple dodges, there’s at least three ways to handle it.

1. Use a Sigil of Energy to get a third dodge
2. If the attack is slow, walk through the mob so it doesn’t hit you
3. Have a Guardian in the group that knows when to give you Aegis

Blinds are iffy on a boss, and interrupts take coordination because of Defiance.

I had the exact same experience when I came back to GW2.

The Mystic Forge where everyone used to hangout has moved. So, with regards to Lion’s Arch, people now hang out at Sanctum Harbor Waypoint or Fort Marriner Waypoint (that’s where you end up if you go in and out of PVP).

Other busy places are Minister’s Waypoint in Divinity’s Reach and Accountancy Waypoint in Rata Sum.

So, still no invuln, like every other class? Or, a GTFO skill?

I bought the Naga when it came out, and hated it with a passion. Too many buttons, not worth the effort, what the hell did I buy.

After a couple of days I got so used to it I couldn’t believe I ever played a game without it. Especially MMOs, since they tend to have many skills.

A mouse is really personal, like an artist’s brush. The only way to find out if it’s to your liking is to actually try it.

Except, GW2 doesn’t adhere to the “standard” notions of healer mage or dps warrior. At all …

Here’s what works for me:

Pick a rotation, any rotation, and try to get it down pat. I practice at the PVP golems. Once I master it, I go perform it under pressure, meaning, out in the open world. The object is to get a basic rotation down. If I die, I die. This is not EVE, I don’t lose my stuff …

Example for D/F: Fire 3, Water 3 5, Earth 4 2 all on top of each other to build might stacks. Air auto attack until the might stacks are about to run out and start over. (What you’ll find, though, is that a lot of stuff is dead before your rotation is finished.)

Trust me, you will get a feel for it. You will know what those skills do, they become second nature. Now is the time to introduce other things. For instance, Earth 5 for the invul, Air 4 for projectiles, Water 4 for the chill, etc.

Just take it step by step, and don’t let yourself get overwhelmed by everything. Restrict yourself by narrowing it down to manageable chunks. Don’t get frustrated by dying. Nobody is watching and no one cares.

Blast finishers? How? You would have to throw down a fire field then switch and by the time you start channeling another spell the field is gone.

What quick blasts do we have besides that one arcane utility?

Sounds like you’re using a staff. For a staff, you can use Eruption (E2), and while it’s channeling, switch to fire and then drop Lava Font (F2). If you do it quickly enough, Eruption’s blast will hit after you’ve dropped Lava Font. If you want you can add two more blasts by using arcane brilliance and arcane wave.

However, other weapons do better with might stacking, assuming you’re on your own.

Starting for me now. Keep getting error code 42:1000:7006:852 and I’m unable to login.

If I’m thinking of the correct mission, the entrance is easily found via
the Penitent Path waypoint. Enter the river from there and swim south. At the end, you go underwater and you will find the cave where you'll need to be.
