Well, okay… I guess Calimshan can be the guild leader of [CERN]. Wait, there are two more? Alright. I’m the guild leader of [CERN]. XD
No, I’m the leader of [CERN]!
Cobra theme immediately came to mind.

""CRASHING THROUGH THE SKY. COMES A FEARFUL CRY, SKY PIRATES! sky pirates SKY PIRATES! sky pirates"
IMO, this has to be the coolest tavern ever — and it would be a pretty cool one to RP in. ANet, please open the door after the living story arch is over and allow this bar to be accessible for RP. If it needs to be instanced, please allow for parties to join each other inside.
Thank you, <3
Major scale this time, woot! Now to Moa Racing!

The best part of the Moa races for me has been the player banter with it. Be it in the spirit of motivation and celebration, or insults and despair. With mindful censorship, post some of the things you’ve said or heard players yell at these feathery beasts!
“Meep, you lilly livered Emu! Move your’ drumsticks and win me my money back!”
“Com’n Mystery Moa, you are overdue. This is your time! Bring it home!”
“Meep you seed-brained feather duster!”
“Monna means money!”
MusicalNecromancy on YouTube is now LIVE and provides song tutorials for musical instruments in GW2!
Check out my channel, and get down wid’ your bad self! I hope these tutorials help others learn to play the instruments in GW2 — I love playing them and hope others have fun as well. If you have requests, feel free to post what you want to learn and if it fits the instrument; I’ll try to oblige. {only Choir Bell tutorials ATM}

Now that is an everlasting Macgyver harvesting tool I’d buy! I am glad the sickle is a bug — look forward to the update! <3
I am thinking it is a bug as well; acting like a mining pick. The water animation makes sense using the harvesting sickle from the side — juicy plants. I’ll wait for ANet to update a fix for it.
I love my “Swimsuit Faren”. If only there were an “Evening Wear Faren”, “Wake-Up Time Faren”, and “Opera Time Faren”.
At least we got the matching “Swimsuit Kasmeer” to compliment — to bad they come separately.
My Necromancer would like a black one-piece 40s vintage bathing suit (with frills) please — with a spider on top.
I hated crab toss at first but it grew on me and now I like it.
Same here — I am having a blast with it now that the lag is gone.
40+ games later… “Crabtacular!” — pure relief rather than the satisfaction of self accomplishment. Lol, I think there is more “dread” attached to this achievement than challenge. I really wanted to lure the arena in front of the Karka and get the achievement, but instead I was not paying attention behind me while running for dear life until my zoom recharged.
Luck, why you so mean to me? (though I am thankful this Dwayna-ridden achievement is done)
….
For all those having a hard time with this (Crab Toss in general) — especially PvErs who are completionists with their achievements (it would bug the Dwayna out of me if I had a permanent unfinished achievement line) — please ANet let this mini-game be a permanent fixture to Lost Shores after the Southsun story is finished.
(edited by CMEPTb.8091)
I kind of have the feeling this is staying, but I am making a thread requesting that it does anyway. Also request that a new set of achievements be given it under the Community section akin to Keg Brawler after the event is over.
Keeping it around afterwards will give everyone having trouble with it/not having trouble with it, opportunity to eventually get “Crabtactular!” and the rest.
Yeah, it is around for a whole month, but would still be nice to have permanently afterwards.
I’ll also put in a little OT bid for having mini-games available as exclusive instances for guilds to battle amongst each other and have their own contests.
Beach Party music would be great, especially at the only spot that doesn’t seem to get attacked by bloody Karka on that map — where Faren and all the other rich folks hang out, LOL.
Day 1 Impressions~
PROS:
-Dynamic Events livened the place up more than they did in Lost Shores (IMO)
-Allowing the Southsun Supply Crate to drop from monsters
-Opportunity to get skins from past events (Lost Shores Karka backpack) from vendor
-MF and Coin buffs
CONS:
-Crab Toss (does not play very smooth, buggy)
-Crab Toss Achievement Points required to finish the “Secret of Southsun”.
(Someone from another thread mentioned the great idea of moving these points to “Community” with all the Keg Brawler achievement points; or code in a new category just for Mini-Games)
-After I finished everything there was to do, I had no desire to stay. Not that I didn’t have fun playing through the content the first time, but it was a bit “too causal” for me to stick around afterwards.
Are there suppose to be teams to this or is it all free-for-all? I ask because of the throw crab skill which passes it to … the competition?
Also, will this be part of the permanence to the Lost Shores after the month is through? The mini game now does not play very smooth, and there are sure a lot of points to earn in the title tracks.
“One team will have to score 26%+ before the match ends to win” – I don’t quite understand this can you please elaborate more on this?
Interesting idea tho, not sure the line right down the middle of the map would work, as well as the more players a team has alive on their side thing as well. What will happen when one team has 100% of the map and the other team just cannot gain any ground?
Each team would have to reach 51% control in order to win. 26% would be how much they needed further to win in the example given.
The line down the middle of the map would be one seen in the UI mini map (or the like). The actual grounds to fight on would not have a visible line; though it could probably work as well.
Since teams are not pulling an actual rope, the equivalent would be to maintain a percentage of having more players alive than the other team throughout the match.
A team will have 100% if none of them has died, and the other team will have lost if they had one person die. If the opposing team has stayed alive as well the whole time then there would be a stalemate, and perhaps… new death-match timer? Something would need to be sorted out for the scenario.
“TUG OF WAR!”
This is a close quarters skirmish. Pretty simple:
1>> Close quarters arena of some kind (small area)
a) Safe zone team dugouts on either side for each team to re-spawn and jump back in
b) Players can fight with eachother anywhere on the map
2>> Line right down the middle of the map
a) Each half of map is filled in with that team’s color
b) The more players a team has alive on their side they gain ground by moving the line (and their color on the map) into the opposing team’s side
3>>Timer
a) The game records for how long a team is able to hold the middle map line over their opponents side of the map
b) Some UI to note the percentage of a team’s control throughout the match till the end
ie., If the Timer is halfway through and if control is split 50% even, one team will have to score 26%+ before the match ends to win.
I think it would be a lot of fun. Thoughts?
Getting disconnected and having to verify files that I know are not corrupt. Had this issue a long time ago and did nothing on my end, it was eventually fixed by an update. Anyone else getting this?
Would be nice to have a “save” check-box for Guesting at the log-in page — that will automatically guest you on the last server you visited; instead of scrolling down that list of servers each time. Less clicking ftw :p
Yes…
This problem was rampant on my game after GW2 first released. I re-downloaded the game, made sure all my drivers were updated, etc. and it still did it.
It was eventually fixed I think in a patch because I never had the problem again until this new update with Guesting. I’m sure ANet will fix the issue again. It is annoying being dropped every half and hour or less and having to verify “corrupt” files.
With Guesting coming January 28th; would it be possible to allow players to Guest simply by right clicking someones name and click “Guest” akin to how Overflow works right now?

If it is at all possible… here is an idea I think would really bring the community closer together — in general; especially for Guilds.
Introduce the ability for players (little toggle command on UI) to either earn their reputation for “cross server” or “server”.
“server”
This would only allow a player to earn reputation for their Guild as far as WvW — keeping WvW servers restricted and fair.
“cross server”
This would only allow players to earn reputation for their Guild as far as non-WvW related guild benefits such as Guild Stash, Emblems, Cape, etc.
Overall, this is maybe a usable (maybe unrealistic — I don’t know your infrastructure) idea in allowing Guilds and players to feel closer together — rather than being divided up across servers having to earn their own stuff all the time.
Rough concept (I am probably missing some stuff since I don’t WvW), but if anyone has insight they could add (tweaks) that actually may help this idea work if it is plausible in the first place, go at it!
:)
You’ll have enough to make any two you’d like if you play all five days.
Q:
Will ALL minis (GemStore and Dungeons) be available again next Wintersday? Or will they be replaced?
I have noticed that Profane Armor skin dyes horribly light — I am putting it in the bug section because I think it is a bug.
Primeval and Krytan Armor skins dye wonderfully with all the dark dyes. I would assume Profane would dye the same since it has a lot of metal like Primeval. If this is a bug — noted. If not, please move this into the Suggestion forums.
My Necromancer would love some deliciously dark abyssal dyed Profane armor! /begs

“Butterfly in the sky, I can go twice as high…”
I love jumping puzzles! I also have some ideas/wishes/aspirations of defying in-game gravity in many ways (or just having more fun).
Post and share your ideas!
…
1 – Shrink players (mini-size) with tonics in order to efficiently use map space, and extend jumping puzzles to greater lengths.
2 – I would absolutely LOVE a challenging jumping puzzle that encircled the whole inside of the outer-wall of Divinty’s Reach; or the outside of it for that matter.
3 – A new jumping puzzle that re-defines “vertigo” so far experienced in the game.
4 – More automated interferences/challenges (aka – Clock Tower automatic turning, new mechanics from Fractal Dungeons).
5 – Puzzles that require you to “remove” blocking points (i.e., harvest these trees to get to the passage behind them), etc.
6 – Fractals is a limitless dungeon, how about a “limitless” or ever randomly changing puzzle? Akin to the movie the ‘Cube’; hey throw in a group of players to figure it out themselves :p.
Thank you for the reply. I have run the repair after every crash.
“Allow one to see Guild Members dots on the World Map without being in a party together.”
I would love to see this — if possible.
“Auto-group mechanic for dungeons”
Yes please.
Malchor’s Leap – Bayt Fallahin has also been bugged for around two weeks now: NPC just does not spawn.
I have repeatedly been receiving game crashes regarding:
Assertion: A file was corrupted in the archive. Please run “once” with ‘-repair’!
File: .. \..\..\Game\Mai\MainCli.cpp (573)
I have sent this report in more than 13 times already. I re-downloaded and installed the client even and it still occurs. It is very annoying.
Computer:
-More than capable in running the game
-Drivers updated
-Anti-virus, etc. – yes, its clean…
Thanks!
