Does revealing the release date kill hype?

They said the story will directly continue in the extension with no more living story between that. I think the extension might really not be to far because staying several months with any new content will be not nice. Really not nice.
Being able to remember and change your build in less than 20 sec before being blocked in an inconsistent state because the timer ends in pvp or a group member engages a fight in a dungeon shouldn’t be a required skill in this game.
My main complaint about queues mixing Conquest, Deathmatch, and Stronghold is that a build that works well for one mode does not necessarily work well for the others.
This problem would be solved by having GW1-like loadable build templates so that I do not need to rush to rejigger my build every time a map comes up that my build is not suited for.
I recall that the devs were gathering requirements for a build template feature, but were looking at it from the viewpoint of not just sPvP, but also WvW and PvE. I am hoping that the build template feature can at least be ready for sPvP before or at the same time as the expansion releases. If so, then I would be fine with multi-mode queues and think that multi-mode queuing would be preferable to split queues in that multi would result in shorter queue times than split.
Still, there would be players who wish to queue exclusively for one mode or another even if we had build templates, accepting that queue times would be longer by doing so. For this, perhaps we can have a set of checkboxes under the Practice/Play/Compete buttons:
“I wish to play (check all that apply): Conquest, Deathmatch, Stronghold”.Thoughts?
I agree !
Number 1 priority for me !
Burning X vines in T seconds is not an adventure, it’s a challenge.
The Skritt puzzle in Silverwaste is an adventure, unexpected mini-dungeon is an adventure, even a classic dungeon path is an adventure.
We can have challenges on top of adventures, like the best time in a puzzle or a dungeon. Even challenges only for the competition is fine, but thing must be called with the right name.
Burning X vines in T seconds is not an adventure, it’s even the contrary. When i go washing my car i don’t think “Let’s wash it in less than 10 min, it’s such an amazing adventure !”.
Hi guys,
In the extension anet wants to reduce the grind, bouding the masteries to the account. With that, when you want to play with another character, you don’t need to grind the “progression” again for doing the content you want.
It could be the same with waypoints. With my main i did map completion. I have alt leveled to 80 with knowledge tome. I don’t play so much and some time i would like to try a dungeon or guild mission with them but they don’t have the good waypoints. Actually, i prefer doing real stuff than mindlessly run to the waypoints with all my alt, so i just don’t play them outside pvp.
So my proposition is:
Under a condition (like map completion or even using a gif of exploration) unlock all the waypoints for the account.
This doesn’t impact map completion so much for the alt because you always need hearts, vistas or point of interest and it’s help a lot for playing content already unlocked with all.
What is your opinion about that ?
Cheer !
“Red No Aoe” guys are everywhere.
And this thread will be the first to delete ?
It’s christmas every day with all the gems buyed for gemstore stuff.
Or nothing…. Kormir and Trahearne will still be hated and other npcs will be hated too when players’ll be to much exasperated of seeing them doing awesome stuff while they can just look and do nothing because “I don’t have the skill and i never will”.
Edit: Title edited because there is no or !

When Caithe was just a nooby sylvari, she could already shadow step where she wants, staying hidden while attacking. Countess Anise can have ten illusions at the same time and changes the appearance of another persons. Marjory can create bone bridges and Kasmeer teleports all everywhere without cool-down. And I forgot many other exemple of npc with epic skills.
The npc heroic acts:
- Being noble, birth right of being awesome maybe ?
- Being pwned by Kralkatorrik.
- Always needing to be saved by Logan.
- Having a good Pact Commander.
- Maybe being Livia and a Necromancer/Mesmer…ok, if it’s that, you can have your ten clones.
- Thing so epic i don’t even remember them.
- Clearing dungeon while following the Pact Commander who does everything.
My heroic acts:
- I explored the entire Tyria and now I want to go in Canta or Elona.
- I helped peoples in every area of Tyria, i have a very good karma.
- I did every dungeon with epic skilled npcs only following me while doing nothing.
- I was an important part of Zaithan defeat and kitteneless Sylvari take all the credits.
- I killed Tequatl and the three-heads Wurm.
- I slayed more creatures (even defenseless little rabbits….dailies forced me) from any races than any other npcs.
I’m more experienced than any npc in Tyria excepting Ogden, Livia and some other rare npcs.
So… can i have awesome epic skills too ?

Living Story can be a good thing between expension. Small story updates with some stuff in the gem store, it’s make the world living. But LS can’t replace an expension.
If the goal of LS was to replace it then LS has failed.
For this Christmas can i have the annoncement of an expension ?
That will make me really happy !
The only bad thing is my back is full, I have 5-6 backpiece ingredients from LS2 and that is flooding my inventory :’(
I support this !
It’s already that.
