In case you haven’t already. You can make the UI smaller in the options.
I just think it would make it easier to see them. It’s not like everyone plays on the same character all the time, I personally switch character quite often. And I would not assume all my friends know the names of all my characters.
I’m not really talking about the chat though. I’m talking about the names over their heads in the game, to make them stand out and easily be recognized as they run past you
There are loads of people who use town clothes. Mostly RPers though, but still.
And automatically toggling town clothes when you enter a city is a good idea. As long as there are more options for town clothes and you can turn the feature off since it would annoy some people.
I think people on your friends list should have different coloured names (maybe pink, like whispers in the chat) like party members and guild members. It would make it easier to notice your friends when they are playing, especially if they’re not on their usual character, so you can join up if you happen to come across each other in the same area.
I would like there to be circles around the renown hearts like there are around the events.
So when the heart pops up in the corner of your screen there will also appear a circle on your map (maybe yellow to have it stand out from the regular events), this way people will know how far out the heart goes so they don’t think they’ve done all that can be done for the heart and just stand there waiting for things to respawn.
Everytime I’ve switched between armour sets the colour change too, to the colours that set had the last time I wore it. Obviously if I’ve never worn the armour earlier it will have the colours I used on the last set I wore.
Also you can save 10 favorite dyes by rightclicking on them. Hope this helps a bit.
I think it would be very practical to get your things autostacked when you doubleclick them to go into the bank or have a “compact”-option like in with your inventory. I have too many times found my bank full and while looking through it for useless items to throw away I’ve always found a lot of the same item in several stacks.
It just takes up room
There are unique characters in this game, for example in the Sylvari storyline there are at least two. The Avatar of The Pale Tree, with special hair, face and clothes, and Caithe, with a special face.
Didn’t a thread with this exact title get locked/closed not too long ago?
Pretty much yeah
You people talk about how MF gear is much worse than other gear. But if you use Rampager’s (Precision, Power, Condition Damage) gear and don’t give many conditions that do damage (As I do for my Ranger) then switching to same tier Explorer’s (Magic Find, Power, Precision) gear is not much of a step backwards. You only lose a tiny amount of precision. This also work for people who use Power and Condition Damage or Toughness and Vitality as their main stats
What bugs me the most is that it’s not even between male and female. If the set were equally revealing/tough-looking between the genders I would be 100% okay with it.
Nope, still wont work, transmuted items automatically become soulbound. Or at least I remember hearing about that, think it was a recent update
You could try though, I might be wrong
The starter equipment is soulbound so you wont be able to make a new engineer and then give that ones goggles to your Asura

Sorry I don’t know if they are the real names, it’s just what I found on the wiki. But I know for sure I’ve crafted at least the Leather armor.
I believe there are two(?) craftable goggles, one of which is at about 250 leatherworking
Edit: Looked it up and they are called Noble and Leather

but can’t have everything.
I know, it was only a suggestion.
I don’t think it has to be since you already get so much of it.
This will be implemented. I believe it will be a gemstore item.
Don’t know about names though
Nope.
But if this won’t be done I’d like to have two weapon sets like all the other classes have so I can easily switch weapon depending on how I want to fight.
And it would be nice if the latest attunements are remembered for different weapons so I don’t have to switch to water every time I go under water and switch to my trident.
Basically, every time you switch weapon it automatically switches to the attunement last used with that weapon.
I like this idea. Random tasks would definitely make me want to go back to lower leveled areas more often, even if they wouldn’t give much. Because now it just feels like I don’t have anything to do there since I’ve done all the hearts and gotten 100% on all the maps
I still don’t like the idea. What about the people who don’t follow the forums or twitter and just play the game, how will they find out about it? The hard way.
I can find so many potential flaws in this idea. (Not anything personal against you, you’re just saying what we’ve all thought)
Like bugs that could potentially make you stuck as a target. Make you not be able to reply to the request or maybe not even receive it.
For this idea to work there can’t be any flaws and people can’t be mean (which we all know some can’t seem to manage)
Just so you know. My guild felt there wasn’t enough RP going on outside of DR so they gathered up a group of people and went outside. They regularly RP outside of the city
If you don’t think there’s enough RP going on in whatever place, gather up some people and start RPing!
It would make the chat so much less cluttered if you could see when your friends log in/off without seeing everything you pick up. Not really important, would just be a nice little thing to change.
Maybe instead of having an option for “game messages” in the chat there could be two options, one for game messages and one for friend activity, or status change.
You know, I felt the same way, I was running around with my masterwork gear at lvl 80, completely satisfied, then I got my hands on some mortal pieces from the Orr temples, and changed my mind.
And I had looked at all the sets in the PvP locker before this but not found anything I liked more than my masterwork
The reason I don’t like this idea is because all my friends are on Piken Square (The European RP server), while I don’t RP, and if I get more friends (who don’t RP) to play this game, they could get discouraged to join the server because it’s official.
And I’m not just making that up, I had to tell a friend that you don’t see them outside the cities before she was comfortable joining.
I just think this would get abused by targeting players who are AFK.
Besides, bots are quite easy to see anyway, especially if they are many, just look at them for a little while, sharp turns usually give them away, and no moving during combat. And if they are several on the same route they will all run on a line and stand in the exact same place while in combat.
I don’t know about dungeon gear, but karma gear can be combined at the mystic forge.
It would be great if there was an online library of your characters, so you could look at/show off your characters without going in the game.
There needs to be more revealing armour for male characters.
I made myself a male Sylvari Engineer, spent a lot of time on making his body but now I can’t show it off because it’s always hidden under armour. Really the only way to show off his body is if he were wearing heavy armour because even the light armour on males isn’t very revealing.
Females aren’t the only gender people think are sexy. Just one skimpy male option for each armour type would be great!
