Mail System needs 2 BIG changes

First stop changing the sending to name. If i type in a name and then go to inventory and click items Mail to it will change the name to people near me. This is horrible i accidently sent 5g worth of stuff to the wrong person. I know why this feature is there so you can target someone and do Mail to for easier time with sending items. But if a name is already typed in it should not over write that.

Didn’t quite understand what you did. Sounds more like a bug. Should be fixed.

Second if you are going to have such a suppression on mails to combat gold spammers(which is good idea) You need to let us have more item slots when mailing stuff. Im a crafter and I am able to make every piece of armor. Which takes 3 mails to send everything. Armor rings earrings amulet weapons water weapons runes sigils. By the time i send half of that im suppressed and cant mail anything more. Give us at least 20 slots to send stuff to people.

Agreed. People should only get suppressed when they are reported. And I could definitely use more item slots per mail.

please add a feature to see our own ms/ping in-game anet!

Yes it should be free. Although you can go to the mists, LA, then the target city, that is 3 loading screens, which is very very painful on weaker machines. Especially LA which is taking forever to load.

Actually it’s 5 loading screens if you want to go to a certain waypoint in a city other than LA.

You can drop them on the ground and let someone else pick them up if you want to trade/donate it.

If that’s the case, I don’t see a reason for then to be bound at all. Maybe somehow keep them off the TP to prevent decreasing their price.

Please reduce all token gain/costs by a factor of 10

I agree with this. No real sense in that.
However, I think the real solution would be to make tokens an account currency like gems, glory… It’s just an inconvenience moving them around your inventory/bank.

Limited bank space means buy another bank slot.

Although is probably an issue for some people since gem price is very high now and it keeps rising, I don’t have this problem. I bought all my bank slots when gems were fairly cheap (I got a strange feeling you might have done the same :/).

Like I said, I’m referring to the inconvenience of moving the tokens around, keeping track of them across all of your characters, going to the bank to dump them/get them before you go to the dungeon merchants etc…

I think all of these issues can easily be solved by making tokens a currency.

b.t.w Next time try to explain why the poster’s idea is bad, instead of just stating the obvious.

So what your’e suggesting is that dungeons will provide no rewards at all and will be there just for the hack of it… that doesn’t make any sense.
People will always farm what is most profitable and will try doing it for as little time as possible. If dungeons provide no rewards, people will just farm whatever will be the best option. That was also the case in GW1… most players tried to complete UW and FoW as fast as possible (UWSC FoWSC).

a couple of times i got 30 tokens on completion of the first run of citadel of flames instead of 60 tokens. as i understand you should only be able to get 60 (first run) or 20.
first time i started the run sometime before daily reset and finished it after. i thought it was somehow related to that…
second time i started the run a little after daily reset.
however both times i had completed the same path not long before (perhaps less than an hour).
other players in my group got 60.
is this supposed to happen?? is there another DR i’m not aware of or 60/20 tokens are supposed to be the only options for completion?

As the previous poster said, I don’t think the price should be based on how many hands you’re holding it with – it should be based on how good it makes you look.
I do agree that a dagger usually doesn’t grab as much attention as a greatsword though… however, a sword or an axe is usually more appealing than a dagger as well.
I think it would be best if the price was somewhat based on the visuals, but that’s something I haven’t seem in any MMO…

I don’t necessarily disagree. However, you can look at it another way. Legendaries don’t provide any stat enhancement, and only affect your character visually each in its own way. Therefore, holding each one legendary (1H or 2H) should be equally as awesome. Holding two legendaries should be double the awesome (not to mention that you have the choice of which combination you like most). I hope this is somewhat understandable :P
Anyway, for this to work right each legendary should provide the same amount of visual appeal… that’s something ANet should keep working on

I agree.
It just doesn’t make sense that players should be punished for wanting to experience different content, and players who just farm the same spot don’t pay at all.
Personally, I just don’t understand the point of making a money sink out of a feature like traveling that players just can’t avoid…. just lower the cash drops/overall drop rate a bit.
I agree that money sinks should be in the game to prevent inflation… traveling just isn’t one of them.

This is NOT a suggestion regarding the excessively high cost of waypoints so please don’t make this a discussion about lowering the cost, money sinks and what not…

I don’t know if it’s intended (I really hope that it is), but traveling to Lion’s Arch is always free cause you can access the Heart of the Mists from anywhere and go through the Lion’s Arch portal. By extension, traveling to any major city is free through the Asura gates in Lion’s Arch.
So… all I’m asking is that you save me the loading screens and make traveling to any waypoint in any major city free.

Magic Find Mechanics Details

Not to belittle the Guild Wars 2 community’s capabilities, I think that the magic find stat is one that’s a little harder to analyze its mechanics.
I would love to hear some official statements from Arenanet as to how magic find mechanics really work.
Like:
what types of items does it affect?
what item quality does it apply to?
does it affect only drops? chests? loot bags? salvage?
and most importantly.. does it have a cap?

I agree. Fact is that in WvW you die much more than in PvE. WvW is a type of PvP and dying is just part of every PvP. It just serves to punish players just because there are others who are better which is largely unavoidable.
There are a few more reasons why repair cost just doesn’t fit in WvW:
1. WvW is usually less based on skill and more on numbers so sometimes there’s not much you can do to prevent dying except fleeing for your life.
2. WvW (supposedly) evens out all players’ level. However, repair cost is so much steeper at level 80. This makes being level 80 a serious financial disadvantage since events give the same amount of money to all levels.
3. It discourages players of a losing world to fight back.
