Yeah one thing I’ve hated so far is the voice acting, my human guardian just doesn’t have me convinced that he is some hero of the Vigil, even when in combat and I use Stand your Ground, one would think that if the tides of battle were not in your favor and you told your friends to stand your ground, you would say it with a voice fit for a commander, you would shout it out. But no, he casually says it.
The scaling could be worked on, if I’m being scaled down to the lower level areas for their convenience shouldn’t my reward match my level? Again the scaling in this game needs work, for instance gear stats at level 80 are absurd for a level 10 zone.
The technology is there, I would’ve assumed that they’d of put it into the game. The game is fun, but for a company that stated in their manifesto that to have a guy spawn 10 minutes later for another person to kill them in the exact same way, isn’t okay it does seem to be just that. We stop a bunch of bandits, 20 minutes later another wave comes and does the same thing and are killed in the same way. Killing X amount of w/e is a huge part of MMO’s but like I said it’s the delivery that matters.
What I mean is, can mobs learn in this game from their mistakes? Let’s say you’re sitting in a outpost, one of the guards notice some bandits running down the field, you get ready and kill all the bandits that throw themselves at you. 30 minutes later another group of bandits do the exact same thing. Are they not capable of learning new tactics? Why can’t they dig a tunnel under to the outpost and place explosives right under the camp? Rather than you know just throwing themselves at you like mindless zombies. Sure it will all boil down to just kill X amount of bandits but it’s the delivery that matters.
its been a few days since i even found the last big event in Orr! Mostly i see broken events in the high level zones which makes lvl 80 PVE really boring.
Is that a server problem rather than a general one? I am on Desolation.
I think it’s more due to the fact that during BWE they only gave us a few areas to test, that’s why you see the starting area’s so well done and the end game zones have sometimes half the DE’s broken.
I remember reading somewhere that mortars would play an integral part of the shatterer fight, and if you didn’t protect them you would have to get the resources to repair them, while ground forces held off the dragon and while a group split off to protect the caravan that brought parts in. When I got to the fight it was pretty much everyone group up under the feet and spin to win or throw down all your aoes and collect the shinies at the end….very much a let down.
