We can’t support GW1 style observer mode and recordings yet due to the fact we use Havok. The simulations are not deterministic so we have to figure out a way around that first. Basically, its way harder to do in GW2 than GW1.

Just a simple suggestion, can you please bring in the same spectator mode you had for Guild Wars 1?

This will be a great way for new players to learn the ropes thanks, and the veterans!

Also this can a great recruitment tool for guilds.

Its fine how it is, now people won’t be as concerned about the rank points, this change will increase more competitive play.

About 30 minutes ago, I won a solo team match in PvP and the white text still appears after the match.

First of all, in order to make this work, we have to have a ladder rank system.

Still, red team VS blue team, each team still has 5 players

After 10 people press ready they will all go in a queue.

There will be 5 positions for each team, I name it p1 p2 p3 p4 p5

The match will happen in this order, there will be a total of 3 battles between both teams, battle 1, p1 of red team will 1v1 p1 of blue team , winner get 1 point for the team

Battle 2, P2p3p4 of red team 3v3 p2p3p4 of blue team, winners get 2 points for their team

Battle 3, p5 of red team 1v1 p5 of blue team, winner get 1 point for the team

If it is a draw after all, players in both team will vote a player out for an extra 1v1 battle, but I can’t vote myself

While in queue, there will be pick order to pick positions , higher rank get to pick first, each team has 3 minutes to put themselves into position.

can’t login now, I was in WvW then had a PvP que pop, pressed it got error 19, now this..

Unfortunately PvP is not their top priority, so atm they dont give a toss.

If that is what needs to be done, let it be!

I already suggested before but no staff replied. I said if it happens, who ever else is waiting for tournament, they are welcome to join your game.

I have spent that T3 on 3 of my characters, it does not make sense that you “MUST” of purchased it through PvE….

That’s my point, PvE players can get 10g an hour farming for the 120g set, where as glory especially for 60K can take about for an average player about a week (before the new patch)…

So, spending 60g + 60k glory earned currency, on t1/2/3 armour in pvp does not count towards the emperor title?

I’m sure we have all been through this frustration. They should make it available that after a 20 seconds of a game and still 4v5, someone that is in the mists and presses soloq can join your match..

tickets and league system are nice. My last match a had 2 players follow me and cap a point while I was in it and no enemies around…..

sick of carrying rank 1 – 10 newbs straight from lions arch. Make a tutorial for tournaments like hearthstone does.

Hello,

I thought I would share how I have managed to fix my black screen issue, and I’ll make it quick.

Firstly I have a NVIDIA GeForce GT 630M graphics card and a NETGEAR D6300 router.

1. Open NVIDIA control pannel
2. Click on “Manage 3D settings”
3. Under “Select a program to customize:” find Guild Wars 2 (gw2.exe)
4. Change "Antialiasing – Mode to Application-controlled
4 (i). Change CUDA – GPUs to All
4 (ii). Change Multi-display/mixed-GPU acceleration to Single display performance mode
4 (iii). Change Power management mode to Prefer maximum performance
4 (iv). Change Vertical sync to On

Now if the above does not work and if you have a NETGEAR router do the following:

1. In your URL bar type the following address: http://www.routerlogin.net/
2. Type “admin” for the user name and “password” for password
3. Click on “advanced”
4. Click on WPS Wizard
5. Click on WAN Setup
6. Check “Disable Port Scan and DoS Protection”
7. Make sure nothing else is checked

I hope this helps players that are experiencing the famous black screen!

So, I have had this black screen for awhile now, obviously repairing, re-installing, changing settings in the NVIDIA control panel, tuning down the resolution etc don’t work.

I have a NETGEAR wireless internet, and no I can’t pug the cable into it as I’m in another room.

I have read a few posts etc, and some GW2 staff have said that you need to bypass the firewall of your internet or something. How do I go about this?

My Laptop Specifications:

Model: Aspire V3-571G
Processor: (4 of them under device manager) Intel® Core™ i5 2450M CPU @ 2.50 GHz with Turbo Boost up to 3.1 GHz
RAM: 6GB
Graphics: I have the Intel HD 3000 and NVIDIA GeForce GT 630m with 2 GB Dedicated VRAM

It was all fine until that recent Lions Arch Attack LS update..

I tried to login now and what a coincidence the famous error code 58:11:5:523:101 came up.

Okay, I have had enough now. This had become a daily occurrence, it only happens when I click play on my Character in the login screen. Sometimes I can’t event press the “play” button and it kicks me out.

Any ideas? Anyone else experiencing this?

I had this code come up for about 10 minutes straight. All good now, any reason why?

4 black screens in the space of the 1 hour. It has been fun GW2 for a 1 year, but now im just over it.

So, every other hardcore MMO seems to work perfectly fine, why can’t GW2?? Its not my connection its your server, please fix. I can’t do any PvP due to this happening with a 50% chance in every game!

End result, if there is no solution I’m just going to have to quit the game, as its unplayable now.

My internet is wireless (NETGEAR) and no I don’t have a cable to connect to it directly.

Okay maybe not, it just happened again, I just got downed and it went black.

I have tried the below trouble shooting:

This is actually a fairly common issue that players have been experiencing due to certain configurations in the Nvidia Control Panel. We suggest adjusting your Anti-Aliasing settings in the Nvidia Control Panel. Please try the steps below to make these changes:
1. Right click on the desktop.
2. Select NVIDIA control panel.
3. Select Manage 3D Settings.
4. Verify the “Antialiasing – Mode” is set to Application-controlled / or click Restore.
5. Click OK.
Once completed, please try launching Guild Wars 2 again.

I will admit, the occurrence has dropped ALOT, but it still happens every 1/2 hours..

My specs:

Intel Core i5-2450M 2.5 GHz with Turbo Boost up to 3.1 GHz

NVIDIA GeForce GT 630M 2GB VRAM

Warrior for the AoE stun, and Necromancer for the AoE condition pressure.

They don’t need fixing, they are fine. Just get better imo.

No skill probably.

I don’t mind 1v1 2v2 etc, in a custom game. Though in a proper game mode it would kill PvP, this is a team game not solo.

They are still there.

Are they are going to used in the future, or…?
