considering that we went out looking for fights, not karma training, with out 30ish people we had online, everything in your post is null and void. We asked people to come and have some fun fights, but after roflstomping all over Biebertrix and COIN, he cried for help and in came both RK and HB to run with him and megablob everything.
Not fun to play with 2 fps due to your huge numbers. But we did however get some fighting and got quite a lot of bags too so it wasn’t all bad. But if you continue this we will, however, be forced to respond in kind, tag up and pull a map blob to counter your map blob come next week. If, that is, what you want. Accept reality, we all run with about equal numbers in wvw, anything else is just propaganda from one side or another. You rolling in with a map blob to “counter” us is really just praise and we thank you for it.

Pretty funny to see BG and JQ paying guild to join their servers.

I have yet to see anything more than rumor and speculation that guilds were ever paid to join a server.

There is a difference between helping a guild (who in all likelihood was going to transfer anyway) get all of it’s members over by donating/loaning gold to them and outright paying them gold to transfer to a server.

How about we deal with facts, supported by real evidence, rather than this crap that’s going around lately?

I’ve talked to a friend. The guild got 100% paid.

If you get a collection of anecdotes it is not fact, just a pile of anecdotes. There are no problems with offering help for transfers if they legitimately want to come over – I also love the implication that if you help people out and not be a selfish kitten it is observed as a negative thing.

It’s one thing to help guilds out to get over to a server, it’s a whole other thing to throw money out and start begging guilds to come over like your server does. Buying guilds does not build a strong community and does not help your server.

I think we need a definition of what a strong community is soon, if you want to include that variable in this recruiting race.

From my time on SoR, i can definately say that my definition is completely different than yours. Most boring LA I ever spent time in. I need the happy banter and a few trolls, but all i got was “LF3M CoF P1” every 5 minutes….

If it was all about how much cash can be waved infront of the noses of susceptible guilds, Jade Quarry IS winning. But only because neither BG or SoR have the same kind of “public funds”.

Word on the street is, that [HB] have stopped working on class builds to do battle, but now purely focus on creating builds and group compositions to try and stop you guys from running.

The only problem would be if these new build require people to buy new gear. Nobody have any cash left from buying scouts everywhere on every map to try and find you!

one key difference from SAB is the way you get them.

Everyone who wanted a SAB skin, farmed a few baubles, and were done with it, even stockpilling for alts. So the many many many investors that bought skins to unload later at a profit, had noone to sell to other than new players.

You can’t farm for Aetherized skins in the same way.

Stock is low, some people like them and “no” new stock is coming in.

People made the same mistake with the SAB skins thinking just because they were event skins they would continue to go up in price, which was not the case and a lot of people got burned.

yes there are examples where the price went up by a great margin like halloween.
but there also plenty of examples where the price keeps stagnating or actually went down.
just look at the super adventure, jetpacks and monocle skins.
if you keep in mind that most the skins dont look that special and that anet keeps introducing new flavour of the month skins it becomes rather unlikely that aetherized weapons turn into a good investment.

The only supply worth thinking about is what speculators have stocked up, and for most skins I dont really think that is alot.
As you say, most are widely considered ugly. Speculators note this aswell, and wont touch it with such a high initial cost. Prices now are purely based on the “new and shiny” factor, but when that wears off, all you have is semi-rarity and “wow it’s awesome”.

Sure you have the rookie speculators thinking everything new will increase in Price, but they usually dont have 1000’s of gold needed to flood this skin market to the point of undercuttings in to oblivion.

So I think that overall the prices right now are fair, will drop slightly over the Next week or 2, then rise very slowly. With the exception of pistol +… The only great skin, and the pricing and quantites on TP so far have been…. weird.

I think you are correct, that you will be able to purchase Aetherized skins for tickets/scraps long after the event ends. The only change is, that you need to be 5 times as Lucky!

The math is simple, that with current chance of getting tickets/scraps you be looking at around 150 gold (1/5 chest giving a scrap. My own experience tells the same atleast with 2 skins @ 110 chests opened).
You are telling me, that people will be equally, if not more, inclined to go for the skins via BLC gamling, and not just buy of TP, when that route just got 5 times as expensive?

No… Any demand for these skin will be directed ONLY at the TP, and demand does not drop the Price, especially when near no supply will be coming in.
