What frustrates me is the karma train that mags has. I logged on this morning to see not a whole hell of a lot of green, so instead of playing the toon i wanted to, I got my tag, said in LA that I needed men to come and help get our map back, and no one came until I got on the map and started putting a small dent in he SoS hold of mags map. The Xushin gets on and all the fly by nights just miraculously log on at the same time and run with him, while leaving me to beg my little guild to help. Same thing when Duke is on. Mags needs better skill in its players or we may as well just PvE it from here on out except the trains, because those trains accomplish nothing when our home maps is someone else’s colour. That simple.

[Ark]ham is recruiting for our WvW/GvG Roster. We are based on Maguuma, and currently have no plans on moving servers for the upcoming league seasons. We are looking for members interested in open field combat and Guild vs Guild fights.

We are looking to add all classes, but with emphasis on :
Necromancer

Please note we raid 6-7 nights a week beginning from 8pm EST, we expect members to be online and in WvW during these hours. If you cannot attend at least 4 evenings a week, you cannot expect to become the best we expect you to. Ts3/microphone required. Trial period for new members will last ~2 weeks.

You know, if you’re looking for Ebay’s skill groups, I think currently we have about 3 that run 15+. Just an fyi, Ebay BL isn’t the best place to start looking for them, so your bad, now you know. The ADBsty guys were on SoS BL along with HAWK for a while mixing it up with mags and SoS there, while you were screwing around with siege and whatnot. Next time just ask around to see where the fights are. Also, the server generalizations in this matchup are so boring.

Ark has been running with 20 all night. EBay has been rolling with at least 30 to a queue, depending on the encounter. Every. Single. Time we push you anywhere on your BL, you drop ACs. It’s sad.

oh ok. We have not had a queue at all on our home BL all night and GH I know has been running less than 20 all night. The only times I saw them run into Ark, there has been no more than 2 arrow carts and they were there long before Ark got to them. I don’t know where all these arrow carts you speak of are. I just did a lap of the map and saw no more than 6 on the entire map with no more than 2 in any single location.

Perhaps you are confusing ranger attacks for arrow carts? I know inexperienced players sometimes make that mistake, so I can understand.

We killed 4 arrow carts with our lone AC at west keep. And then there were 2 more still up that we couldn’t reach

So you killed 4 arrow carts inside a keep and you couldn’t kill two more at inner because we pushed you out and you are complaining. So the only people allowed to defend a keep is Maguuma and everyone else should just abandon their stuff. It is just sounding to me that you are trying to justify wiping countless times to a group smaller than you which was disorganized and then try to blame it on siege. You were inside a keep, there is going to be siege inside a keep unless the server is really bad.

I was standing in the keep you mentioned and still think that you may have stereoscopic rendering on or something. Check your graphics settings.

You’re hilarious. We have had 15 online the entire night, it’s pretty funny you’d say you have less than that. GH + pubs is at least 25.

The reason why groups stack is to reach the AoE cap and reduce damage. It’s also important to do mid-fight to “reset” the fight. What I mean by this, is that the regrouping allows everyone to heal up to full HP via water field blasts and gain almost full stacks of might via empower. In a sense, it returns your party to the condition it was in before the fight even started.

Regardless of it’s many benefits, stacking makes for boring meta, it is greatly over used, often at the expense of momentum and positioning, and in my opinion is used more as a crutch for bad positioning and movement, than its tactical advantages.

Lastly, people need to understand that there is a very big difference between a hammer train and a balanced comp. The fact that 4 warriors use hammers in a 15-man comp doesn’t make it a hammer train. Not even close, to be honest.

So over 26% of the group is using hammers, but that isn’t a hammer train? Where is the magical cut off, 80%? You are taking the term too literally anyway, it is more about the heavy defense ball formation with hammers, at 4 I would argue the number of hammers is irrelevant as far as the label goes.

Stacking is how you keep safe as a not-so-good player with 2-3 players focusing on JUST YOU. Stacking “prevents” that. And Anet’s mechanic of an AoE cap prevents the stacking from making a group vulnerable to AoE bombing ONE AREA.

The best players in the world will die to focus fire from semi-intelligent players, so your point is moot. Stacking is for heals and keeping everyone’s heads in the game. If you need to stack because you’re bad, maybe that’s a personal problem

Do you even follow this “meta”? In NA at least? Hammer trains are being beaten every week now, just last night us vs GF, last week AGG vs EP and a few weeks before that. Nobody cares if you think “stacking” is boring, it’s effective and EVERYBODY does some sort of it.

As with any other competitive game, metas will shift and change all the time, so there’s literally no point in complaining about one of them.

Fair – an example of ‘real’ playing – good – use your own word. The point is – stop boohooing (or laughing about how pathetic it is). You are obviously better at small group tactics – if that’s all you’re saying – then just say it without all the bravado. If I kept getting my kitten handed to me by one group – I’d use any tactic I could – and to expect them not to is simply ridiculous.

I hate a braggart – and all you guys do is come of like a bunch of chest thumping braggarts. It shows a real lack of class in my opinion. Seems to me like if it isn’t a group of the same number (or a little higher) playing the game by your rules – then they suck. Whatever – you guys are nothing but a bunch of blowhards.

As far as the battles – I was just picking groups who were outnumbered. You’re right though – if I thought about it – I suppose I could come up with better examples – the point though – stands. If you expect them not to use the resources at their disposal – then your the bad – not them. And…you’re delusional. If you were really good – you could figure out how to beat them despite the impromptu, open-field siege. Just saying.

EU guilds keep strict rosters, there’s no reason we shouldn’t have to in order to stay competitive in NA either.
