Should there be a mode which requires intimate knowledge of all the games systems, razor fast reactions and a highly coordinated team that has planned its build in advance? Sure why not seems like a good thing and gives people who have a lot of experience something to do. Throw in some non-essential rewards and cut price repairs though to make it feel worthwhile.

Should that be the ONLY group content in the game?

Of course not.

And.. that’s not the only group content in the game.. in face.. i have never went to a dungeon with full group of friends.. i have only 1 friend that i go to most dungeons with.. and the rest is always random players..

Smells like troll. Or maybe you care to elaborate for us literally thousands who are broke, how the kitten you achive over 600$ worth of gold easily? 600 might be off a bit it might be much more i havent checked the conversion rate lately.

i think i said it already.. but guess u didnt read it..

Run 10~15mins Dungeon > Make 25s + drops > sell green and lower drops to npc > profit ~35s + mats drops + possible Sigil/Rune drops + possible Yellow (more expensive drops).. for a 10~15mins run..
repeat, repeat, repeat… be rich in no time..
i made around 3g profit (discounting repairs) in like 1~1.5 hr.. and it was my first time doing the dungeon.. did like 5 runs.. got near 3lvls.. and all the gold and extra loot/mats.. also got a yellow ring that was bound.. so is gear for me.. and some sigils and rune to fuse in the Mystic forge for possibly more profit..

if u commit to farming it.. u can get all that gold in no time.. lol

inb4 they prolly nerf that dungeon and make it harder or less profitable..

Ascalonian Catacombs Story mode difficulty

AC story mode is a cake walk.. i did it with 3 randoms and 1 friend.. it was like.. 2 mesmers and 3 mages or something like that.. and we didnt wipe.. EVER.. and we were all virgins that time.. noone knew where to go or what to do.. but we were fighting pretty well..

needless to say, we didnt had voice chat or anything.. lol :S

CM was another piece of cake dungeon..

and actually the only dungeon i had some difficult was one of CM’s exploration routes.. where there is a passage with traps that 2 shot you.. and we couldnt figure out how to get trough it.. lol

Anyone else feel the exploration token system needs to be changed?

i think this Dungeons set armors arent made to get the easy way..

if u want them.. work for it..

if u’r casual and dont wanna work hard for something.. go get blue/white casual armors.. shouldnt matter to you anyways.. u’r casual.. u shouldn’t care abt getting top notch armor if u’r not gnna REALLY use it..

i come from other games where it was 100 times harder to get sets/farm mats.. 1 hr+ runs to PRAY to god be lucky enough to get at LEAST 1 piece of ur set.. wich would come out like.. 1 every 5 runs or so.. and getting your weapon was at least 50+ runs.. 1hr each..
it would take.. at least.. 1 month of farming to get full set and stuff..

seriously.. you guys complain too much..if they made the coins not bound.. people would just do that one dungeon that takes 10 mins for full run and reward 30 tokens per run.. plus 150k+ exp and around 40s each run.. + Drops..
that would make the farmers even richer.. note: gold farmers/botters/etc…

i seriously have no idea why people complains so much about dungeons, or gold..

Gold in GW2 is dirt easy to get.. waaay too easy i’d say..
i know people that has over 100g already.. and othes that are about to buy the Commander thing on their own..

Mayb you guys just don’t know/care about finding the tricks on the dungeons.. dungeon run farming? etc?.. ther’s a lv75 dungeon that u can finish in 10mins and u get at 25s +135k exp at the end.. without counting drops + inside quest that gives a little more..

i’v barely done any dungeons.. but in my whole time i’v never droped one because we got killed or anything..

i did Ascalon once for story time.. flawless run.. with just random pick up group… 2 mesmers and 3 mage.. lol

Did Cadecus Manner, same thing, flawless, pick up group.. it was like 1 ranger, 2 guardians, 1 mesmer and 1 mage.. or something like that..

and on another note.. i’v played games with dungeons far harder than this.. that it would take a whole week of wiping and retrying over and over again to figure it out and clear it succesfully…
they were so hard.. that the company held contests of the first groups to finish it and it would usually take from 3 days to 1 week for anybody to actually complete it..
and it was groups of people using Teamspeak and stuff.. not PUG like i do here.. lol

GW2 Dungeons need to be harder.. i can’t imaging how easy they would be if i actually had my old group of friends with me playing.. lol

Mantras arent that bad.. i used to think they were aweful because of the long cast time(4s).. but turns out u can cast while moving.. so, if used propertly, they could be very, veery nice..

Mantras are ALL 4s cast to charge, the coldown comes to apply after you used all your mantra charges.

3. “Deceptive Evasion” has a nasty tendency to not produce a clone because you have randomly fallen out of combat even though you have an enemy target selected.

4. “Temporal Enchanter” is either bugged or the tooltips are incorrect for Glamours. With Temporal Enchanter active the field lasts as long as the tooltips say by default and without it they end faster then what the tooltips say by default.

6. “Imbued Diversion” does not proc off of Main Hand Sword #2 nor the effect from the trait “Blurred Inscriptions”.

9. Main hand sword’s clone summons is set to 600, rather than the 1200 other clone summons have. Swap is correctly set to 600.

10. This one I don’t know if it is a bug or intended … but when the change occurred so that range checks were made on clone/phantasm creation … players were also given the ability to evade our ability to summon said clone/phantasm. If our clones/phantasms couldn’t be countered by walking away, being killed, or CCed I would guess intended … but given that this is not the case I just had to ask.

#3. I think your problem is that u’r too far from your target(mayb max range is 1200 or 900). Is like when u try to cast a phantasm on a target that is “out of range”.
It has happened to me more than once, that i use that skill just to go on stealth so i dont agro mobs, but instead the skill makes the ilusion, even while i was out of combat, and the monster agroes myself after killing the ilusion.

#4. Yeah there might be something wrong here, prolly in part because some of the glamour skills have at least 1s Cast time(between the time u cast it and the time the coldown actually starts on the skill), because i tested it and it worked propertly with Feedback, since its instant cast.

#5. Diversion is the F3 skill, not the F4. U’r confusion Diversion with Distortion, And the signet does proc Distortion when u have Blurred Inscriptions trait.

#9. Nothing wrong with this one, is just how is setup.

#10. Is like dodging any other skill, people can dodge the Phantasm summon skill, so we Missed our summon, just like when u try to summon an illusion on a target that is out of range.

lol? if u’r having problems with AOE dmg on a mesmer.. u’r just not playing it right.. lol!!
im always farming Solo, doing trains of 5~10 mobs just fine..

and Phantams Warden, can pretty much kill a monster, or a pack of them if placed right, alone with the several amount of hits+crits+bleed stacks..

idk what kind of mesmers are u guys playing, seriously..

I have to agree that they shatters should be changed heavily. I sometimes use them, but more for the fun of it or to finish enemies of.

I havn’t analyzed it like some of you did, but from my purely subjective perspective it seems that destroying three of your damage-dealing, (if you have the right traits) boon-giving, enemy distracting illusions is not worth the little damage you get out of mind wrack. the other shatters seem completely useless to me, F2 sounds nice, but I rarely see it actually doing anything. The other two seem completely useless to me, but maybe I just didn’t understand them. Especially F4, which doesn’t stack. Three illusions are a far better distraction then being invulnerable for a second, it just doesn’t make any sense.

F4 does stack.. to a max of 3s of complete evasion… u could virtually dodge anything..

i havent tested it.. but im guessing u could dodge even Epic Bosses AOE/CCs/etc..

and u can just resummon illusions instantly after using it.. in less time than those 3s…

the only problem i see with this skills is that it explodes ALL ur illusions at once.. i wish we could hand pick one and move it around and shatter it at our will..

that would be pretty epic.. xd

I personally use shatter for finishing up targets, right in that moment when the phantasms have the attack in CD and u have no other source of finishing DPS (since normal attacks from urself are pretty lame)
u go and finish ur target with it.. is pretty effective..
just make sure u can resummon again fast.. in case ur target doesnt die..
just learn how and when to use them.. and they’r really awesome..

And OFC cryt of frustation does less dmg than Mind wrack.. it adds AOE confusion on enemies.. lol
