lol, no. Not even close. 1200 is the range on the staff, 900 is the range on the scepter, 600 is the range on illusionary leap, 300 is the range of a dodge roll, 130 is the range of blurred frenzy. Warden is somewhere around 200.

Also, trident clones attack does bounce 3 times like mesmers normal attack, but just like our attack it has a shorter bounce range something around the ~500 range only
tidrent illusions bounce dont give any bons but they do apply 2 stacks of confusion instead of one if the attack bounce from you back to your enemy
the attack wont bounce on clones
Clones/phantams skills will show “out of range” message at max range (1200) even if the skill says it will work (no red bar beneath the skill)
u need to be somewhat around the ~1150ish range to succesfully summon the illusion

Instead of shatter + 2x recast you just keep your phantasm and cast blurred frenzy (for example with reflection) and deal 5.000 damage to three other players and take zero damage.

You have to consider more things.
- First you cant compare different timespans -> 12 s vs 15 s.
- Then it is a different thing if you
- cast 2 phantsam

- cast 2 phantasm + shatter + recast 1 phantsam + change weapon + recast 1 phantsamIn your example you are doing more things when you shatter and recast. And you also have to consider cooldowns, casting times, the weapon swap has maybe some disadvantages….
tl;dr -> Numbers do not prove anything here. It is good to use them, but they dont prove anything.

You SHOULDNT be losing damage if you wonna make something else stronger, you are still the same if you take the traits that improve clones/phantoms as you were before (minus the damage ones) but you dont suddenly get weaker to make the phantoms stronger
And again, no one is asking to change the profession (its NOT a class) just to improve a few things, as it stands our unique mechanic isnt on par with the other professions partly down to design and partly down to bugs and issues
We SHOULDNT need to trait for our mechanic for it to be usable – does Warriors need that? Thiefs? Necromancers? No they can trait to make them better but out of the box, no traits or anything it sucks

The Call Target functionality (which is more an UI/Team-communication thing and not even an ingame/class ability) completely circumvents any defensive/deception value of clones.
I think that our defense is probably to good if it gets fixed, but it can’t be meant to work this way, making clones essentially useless.
when you go on stealth or out of range, the call target dissapears..
Scepter clones only use the first scepter attack instead of the entire chain, making them much less useful for procing sharper images and easier to identify as clones.

The skill says the clones will only cast Ether Bolt.. not the whole chain.. neither the Ether CLONE hit.. is just ether bolt..having clones that summon clones and clones and clones would be a little(actually a LOT) too OP..
So have them go through the animation and not summon a clone. I wouldn’t judge the ability’s intent by the tooltip considering it still says that Ether Clone applies confusion.
i think it meant to say that confuses ur enemy by making a clone of urself.. rather than actually applying confusion condition..
if it was to apply confusion condition.. it would say the time and Lv of confusion applyed.. just like all the other skills that do apply confusion state..

Ah, didn’t consider that. If that’s the case, I hope they could clarify it in the tooltip, and also cancel out the 2nd portal if max distance has been passed.

max range is from the center of ur minimap to a border (minimap being max size max zoom in, well..at least on my screen.. i made some testing and it was around 4k range)

Solution: If you have not moved for 5 minutes, you need to be kicked from the map.
Solution: Should be able to mark people as afk (I know I know same as WoW), where if marked they have to move to become unmarked (not fight, but they have to move) 1 minute timer or so on this?
If u AFK inside WvW u do get kicked.. i think its 10mins or so..
i’v gotten kicked many times already.. even from PvE sometimes (but with a longer wait time)
Problem: It is not possible to cap a point if an enemy is inside the zone
SideNote: Stealth classes can chain stealth on each other and hide preventing a cap.
Solution: If you outnumber the enemies inside the zone the zone will slowly be capped instead of not capping at all.
I havent seen this happening.. but i’v seen than having more people than the enemy does make u cap the point.. and once a person goes stealth they losing theyr “capping” abilities..
Problem: 1 Person has to pay for an entire upgrade
Solution: Make each upgrade a “pool” and allow anyone to donate to that pool. Doing this will allow you to charge more for each upgrade as well which will create a better gold sink to follow. It would be fine if a waypoint costed 10g as long as everyone could donate to that 10g.
and this would be really unfair for the Small servers without full player base 24/7..

Now.. giving commander yo random players just because they “lead a group” is also not a great idea.. since some times people would just give out stupid ideas with the goal of “lets get experience and karma” and people would follow.
For example yesterday (my server is really messy and 90% of the players that go on WvW are really disorganized) we were in an enemy borderland and we capped a couple of towers, supply camps all good.. then.. instead of staying to defend the obvious counter attack from the enemy.. “the lead” (wich wasnt really guiding or anything for the raids) said.. lets go take the Quaggan camps.. noticing that NONE of our supply camps or towers were in the Quaggas attack/defend range.. i found that idea kinda.. stupid and a bad move with an enemy attack coming..
but again.. he said it and said “we can get exp and karma, lets go” so he drove most of the raid that could’v helped defend/move supply.. to take.. Quaggan camps..

Maybe u have 2 stealth skills so u can be stealth for a longer time.. (?)
also.. the normal is a Veil.. the Elite is all around you.. easier to stealth allies.. this skills are meant to be used for groups.. they werent invented thinking of a personal use.. and its a bad trade.. when u’r a bad player.. lol

Illusion Subsection – says “Reduces your shredding recharge rate by x%”, Im assuming thats supposed to be shattering skills. It also has the required affect but dusnt reflect the cooldown tooltip on the shatterer skills. (Supposed to be less that 15 seconds on Mind Wrack etc, dusent change.)
- Duelist’s Dicipline (IX in Dueling) – Says Pitol instead of Pistol.
- Should really add something saying that the weapon skill cooldowns dont stack with the -20% reduction in Illusion. Its often confusing picking both up only to dicover ure phantasm summon is only affected by 1 of them.

with both skills the cd is ~8s.. not 12.. and the skill without traits has 15s cd..
Tested the synergy between two cooldown reduction traits for the Phantasmal Warden.

Illusionists Celerity (20% cd reduction)
Warden’s Feedback (20% cd reduction and reflection during cast time)Here is what I found:
When I activated only Illusionists Celerity, there was no reduction in the cooldown.
When I activated only Warden’s Feedback, there was still no reduction in the cooldown.
When I activated both I.C. and W.F., the cooldown was 14s (down from 20s).So, the traits are reducing the cooldown only when used together. In addition, the traits reduce the cooldown by 30%, which is not additive or multiplicative of the nominal 20% reductions in each trait.
the normal coldown is 25.. not 20.. u get it to 20 with illusion celerity.. and to 14 with the Warden’s Feedback..
Jesus christ people.. test your stuff right be4 posting.. sooo many non tested stuff posted is gonna misslead Devs… -.-
I’ll add a bug similar to what has been mentioned about torch 4 already-sometimes you don’t stealth at all. Your character performs the animation and channels like you are stealthed and you still get the burn/blind at the end but you never disappear and mobs/players can still see you. This is without using any sort of dodge or other skill with it. I’ll add that I play an asuran female just in case the issue may be with the race.
sometimes when u’r getting hti u get a “debuff” that doesnt let u go on stealth.. not sure how or what causes it..but i’v seen it be4.. a lot..
Also.. sometimes u wont see the animation of being stealth.. but u do go invisible.. just watch ur boons bar.. this happens a lot when u use Torch and Decoy together to stay invisible for a longer time..
u’ll appear to not be invisible in ur screen while u actually are..

Illusionary Whaler (Trident #4) does no damage.
it does.. i just tested it..
but the dmg is low.. since it is supposed to be for Stacking bleeds.. not for dpsing on hits…
Bug on iBerzerker from GS..
tho is more of an Exploit…
it can be summon even trough walls.. difference from other phantasm that would say “Obstructed” if u try to summon it trough wall/objects/etc..

and the Swap swaps u to where the ilusion is.. after the ilussion is summon if u click swap too fast ull swap with it in middle rush.. or spawm point.. so ull stand in the same place.. gotta pay attention to where the ilusion is.. rathet than just spam buttons..
the only thing i dislike about all this videos is
that you explain it soo perfectly great, that i bet a LOT of other ppl is gnna be learning how to play mesmers now.. and is gonna become the most played class..

The problem with this kind of threads is people is that most of the time is people just asking for the Devs to change something that works as intended.. and they report it as a bug or a glitch just because they’r stupid enough as to not know how to use it..

most of my dungeon runs contain 2 mesmers.. me and a friend.. and we never wipe.. we did a bunch of different explorable modes yesterday for the achievments.. and they were all flawless.. even being our first times..

yeah, the illusionary leap range is short.. but i still use it all the time without failing it.. even on sPvP.. and is incredibly awesome..
Also i’d disagree with the suggestion of having both you and the illusion jump on the target.. since u can use that swap as a dodge too, for either you (if u get attacking from bdhind by another enemy) or your illusion if u wanna.. save it or something.. also, ur illusion is not stationary so you gotta pay attention where is it at when you’r going to swap..
just get used to it rather than changing it in something you want..
if we go to that.. i’d like my illusionay warden to do all the hits in 1s rather than.. ~5?.. lol.. i could say how slooow the attacks are and how nerfed it is because of that(when it really isnt, if you use it propertly).. bla bla bla!!
Also dissagree with the clones not removing phantasm.. it adds certain lvl of decission making, if u have the trait u’d be like.. “should i dodge this and trade my DPS for survivality?” if u dont have the trait, u can have both..
if u’r using scepter u’d be like “should i do this 300 dmg hit rather than waiting 2s for the 3rd hit to reset back to the 1st one and not lose my 4k dmg phantasm?”.. etc etc.. we cant just have all the goodies in our class..
i do like the visual modifications.. the dot marker will hp refill and stuff would be really nice, the illusions dying with style if they succeded at killing their target.. etc..
and since last night.. Mind stab AND spatial surge are now incredibly fast.. pretty awesome to use lol.. they got some BS buff last night.. wtf.. is like twice or three times faster..
i might even start playing with GS more often now..

the amount of attacks makes him a perfect DPSr for siege.. and the Projectile reflection defends themselves or allies from ranged attacks..

that’s the only deffective part i see in the skill, but used propertly it can be pretty amazing in both pve/pvp..
Considering that gear is designed to be entirely equal in PvP and all racial skills are removed from play, I somehow doubt race has any bearing in it whatsoever.
If nothing else, however, Asura do look smaller, which may or may not get you more or less attention than other players.

Yeah.. the only “advantage” i could think of would be, being less noticeable in far range.Idk abt other players but i have all my “names” being shown all the time, so i rarely miss any enemy around me, but it doesnt work pass a certain distance so being small would help you hide behind smaller objects (i do this all the time in WvW and has worked surprisingly well).
Now, in the “area” of hit thing, i dont see it gets affected by the size. My Asura does have different animations like, having to Jump and do hits while on the air (Mesmer single sword skill) compared to other races that just stand still and do the hits.

I’m gonna do StoryMode dungeons in GW2 with my own friends. Who are not all the best playars-evar. And there’s only 4 of us, so we need a 5th pug-player. Or I can play in a full pug. Not with your elite friends.I care less how hard they make ExplorationMode dungeons. That is of later concern. I agree they shouldn’t be easy. Maybe the rewards aren’t good, I can’t say.
But StoryMode dungeons ? Requiring “your old group of elite friends” to finish ? Or requiring “the same attitude as progression raids” ? Requiring perfect builds, balanced group composition ? It’s StoryMode …..
u dont need any kind of elite players… didnt i just said i’v done all my dungeons with PUGs? i only have 1 friend that i take to dungeons and stuff.. the rest is all randoms… and i havent wipe on story mode dungeons..
and the groups werent the most balanced ever.. 1 time it was 2 mesmers and 3 elementalists… no Warrior for tanking.. no guardian for healing.. etc etc etc..
U can’t have 3 Phantasm and auto attack with a scepter.. the scepter will always make the ilusion.. no materr what..
IF u have 3 phantasm.. ull lose 1 and get 1 clone.. and then that 1 clone will keep overwritting himself.. and ull have only 2 phantams and 1 clone.. but u wont lose more than 1 phantasm.. unless u use the skill that summons 2 clones at once..
if u wanna autoattack and not lose phantasm.. use a weapon that doesnt summon clones on attack.
Lol i had to work mykitten off leading groups of people to capture towers and keeps.. JUST because i needed a Vista or a POI..

I don’t know if you’re a gem buyer or a gold -> gem trader, but when you open black lion chests, you get tonics that will turn you into an animal or creature or something thats not a normal Player character. I’ve had great success using these (especially the owl) to traverse places in WvW without being attacked, as most people just think, “oh look, a birdy” and don’t really read the name plate.
