-thieves can stealth so you might not see them
That’s kitten weird, the kitten was standing right next to me, I could basically punch him in the sack. No one was around for like 500 kilometers, yes not miles, suck it americans, I hit my interrup button with the fury of 10 angry muslim prophets and he just proceeds to ram that spike through my guts anyway.
I’m sorry, but this post has me literally laughing out loud.
Btw idk If anyone is even taking you seriously, with the way your talking.
Okay seriously though. The guy was standing next to my non stealthed and he just went ahead and finished me. I have no clue what happened there. I typed the kittens in there for fun, you know like how the smurfs change their words?
No not really. If it only happened once you might as well let it go dude. I cannot imagine trying to count how many times my engineer #2 would fly right into someone without stability, and not do a thing to them.
It’s a shame though that stuff like this happens, I think we could have expected more from a game that has been in the works for 5 years+. There are more things (like obstructed arrows on an open field) I could list, but let’s just chalk it up to bad coding, again…

I’m afraid this is a learn to play issue.
Play more. Learn other classes skills. Don’t come whining on the forums when the smallest thing doesn’t go right for you.
Mate he wasn’t stealthed, so I would like to kitten know what the kitten is going on, maybe I’ll improve if I knew kittentard.
Just ignore it, if they don’t have the lolstomp faceroll build.

Look at any other game. Like CoD
LOL , what a kitten you are kitten off please!
What can cause people to not give a kitten when I interrupt them when downed and still just finish me? I know Elementalsist can go into some sort of mistform bullkitten, but what other things are there?
… I get the feeling there is to little reward for what we do in the game. . .

Not entirely sure where you’re going with this… but here are some notable items made availble in game over the last few months:
- Winter’s day items
– Fractal skins
– Ascended gear
– Laurel vendor items
– Guild reward items
– SAB
– Molten Weapons FactoryThe individual items are a bit too numerous for me list, so, I just listed the general categories. But you get the idea.
Now, if you want to go even further and include Black Lion Chests, for the simple reason that keys can be acquired in game (even as rewards for party of the personal story), then you can add in a chance at all those other gemstore items offered via the BLC. Granted, drop rates are a consideration.
Personally, no issue with the offerings of the Gemstore. I hope it continues to be a viable source of revnue for them.
You’re absolutely right. Though I have to disagree on one thing though. The fractals update, and the new item tier. This was the most &((% update they implemented, but that’s another story all together. I still get the feeling though that the majority of the items is dumped into the gemstore, and some of those should just be buyable with an alternative currency.
I’m going to disregard the molten dungeon, I was lucky to get through that one given all the bugs.
….And? Still doesn’t change the fact that you have a specific skin that you can earn through it. (Also, a quick view of the F & F forums and I don’t see a single thread discussing a bug with the molten facility. “All the bugs?” You lie.)
The gold farming comment is precisely what I mean by lazy.
Why? Just because you don’t like it?
There’s rewards you can earn just through doing content (SAB skins, fused gauntlet) while there are rewards which you can earn through farming or luck (Molten mini/tonic, recipes, etc.) and then there are stuff in the Gem Store (Tunneling Device, Fused Skins.)
They do provide you with stuff outside the Gem Store. They do have exclusive rewards for playing the game, while still making gem purchases appealing to keep their business afloat. They try to keep everyone happy. What’s wrong with that?
As for the bugs I encountered in the molten dungeon it was the same gate failing to open 3 times in a row. While the previous day it opened just fine though my party wasn’t good enough to tackle the two bosses. So I tried the next day and encountered the bug.
They could just have done more with the items they putt into the game, that’s all I’m saying. The legendaries are really guilty of this. Why make them legendary if there is no legend behind them. In any case as the old saying goes: Try to please everyone and you’ll end up pleaseing no one.
The new Molten facility has rewards. The mini, the tonic, and the jetpack. The fused gauntlet can only be obtained through playing the Living Story stuff.
And before that, the SAB added a slew of weapon skins only obtainable through SAB, not the Gem store.
They do have rewards for in-game content. You just haven’t noticed it or choose to ignore it.
PS: You can play the game, earn gold, and purchase Gem Store items also, if you don’t want to spend your cash.
I’m going to disregard the molten dungeon, I was lucky to get through that one given all the bugs. You do make a point with the SAB dungeon though, there needs to be more like that. The gold farming comment is precisely what I mean by lazy.
Having played this game for a few months now I feel the need to give a little bit of feedback on the gemstore. During my play time, doing events and participating in the living world story line I get the feeling there is to little reward for what we do in the game. Saving the world from dragons and playing a support character to Trahearn only nets you maybe 1 gold in total.
It’s strange that exploring the map, especially the higher level maps, nets you items that are worth more then the reward you get for completing the game. Now I’m sure most of you have insane magic find gear, and maybe this helps a bit with your loot, but why does this buff not improve the drops on chests. I have no clue.
And now for the biggest problem I have with the gemstore. It’s basically the dumping spot for all the items that have been newely released into the game. This in particular I find very lazy. At least use the items to bring players together for a common goal. For instance finding and trading components to make minipets, armor, weapons, skins, and so on. This just feels like a cash grab to me up to the point where buying the gem cards is just easier and takes less time then getting the gems in game.
Bottom line. Reward your players, have them do something for the items they want, and if possible bring them together, improving the game. I’m not saying to get rid of the gemstore all together, but show some restraint.

I’ve never had any instance of it not going off. The only thing close to it I can come up with is if a small object blocks the flesh golem’s path and he is held against it while charging off screen.
That is also annoying when that happens. I’ll try and make the situation more clear. I’m in pvp and I hammer the button to use the charge skill, most of the times it activates after 2-3 seconds. On some occasions you can see the animation going on the skill icon when you press the button, but the golem doesn’t do the skill and then the animation stops.
There are a number of reasons for this.
1. each minion has it’s own cast time for their active abilities. This is most noticeable with the shadow fiend winding up for his blind.
2. the flesh golem might have been CC’d when you cast, however this usually prevents the ability from casting all together putting it on full cooldown.
3. like you mentioned, it might have been latency.
4. sometimes the rippling “casting” effect on the skill icon gets stuck. This has happened to me quite often when using minions. The skill isn’t actually casting if it gets stuck though, just the skill icon animation.
5. You might not be seeing the casting bar, as the flesh golem charge has a lengthy cast time for the player.
A few of these points can be ignored because the cast time should be 3/4 of a second, and I’ve paid attention to the golem to see if it was cc’d, I’m pretty sure it wasn’t. As for the animation being stuck, I don’t think that’s it either because there were instances where I’ve been clicking for a few seconds before the golem did its thing.
I think it’s lag then, so I guess the next step would be hoping for a latency meter somewhere in the hud so I can verify.
Thanks for your ideas.
Always Charr, Azura are just gnomes copy pasted from WoW.

Wait, 2-3 seconds, is that not how long it takes for the skill bar takes to finish before he charges, or do you mean 2-3 seconds after the skill bar finish’s.
After I press the button for charge I’m able to use other skills, after 2-3 seconds it charges, or not. As a side note the animation for the skill icon does it thing during the other attacks.
I actually rely on this charge as a knockdown to keep players in my wells as another form of CC and I can say i have never seen him not charge. I cannot say he will charge the right direction but he has never failed to charge for me.
So i am going to blame lag. I do not want to blame it on the connection, so to rule this out, do you lag in other areas, or during giant keep fights with 50+ players all on the screen? If so i will say its lag that is causing the issue.
Naturally there is no way to tell if it’s lag as there is no way to see my ping. As for your question, no I don’t lag when there are a bit more people around. WvW goes smooth for me, aside from the frame drop when everyone goes nuts on a gate. The only real lag I experienced in the game was with the Karka event, next to that I’ve never had lag problems.

Just giving my opinion here. I think the deathshroud ability is mostly useless. The reason being that almost every player knows what it does. When you start that giga drain pokemon skill you’ll get interupted within a second or people just start dodging. I only use it for the fear that only lasts for 2 seconds.
No choice in good elite skills is also something that bugs me. Where is Spiteful Spirit for instance. Next to this if you don’t use a dot build you could just as well play an elementalist. Necros don’t need a buff in damage, just more options, as of now I find the class very limited in its options.

Starting a new thread to see if other people share my opinion that the Flesh Golem skill: Charge, is very unresponsive.
At times the skills activates after 2 to 3 seconds for me, or not at all when I press the button.

Destiny Edge:
Their side story in this game strikes me as odd at best. I read the books, but I can imagine a player that hadn’t read them wouldn’t have any interest in these characters. It’s not clear what happend to them that put them at odds, and they don’t drive the story either, appart from getting you to do the dungeons.
End Game:
As of now I have 100% map completion, have all jumping puzzles done, completed my personal story line, and I don’t care for the dungeons. For what I’ve seen the end game for the pve player consists of collecting the materials to forge your legendary weapon.
Let me ask you a question: What makes something legendary?
My answer to this would be the story behind it. Because there is no story backing these items you couldn’t call them legendary, instead I would call them fancy items.
The journey to get them is also a dissapointment, instead of making it something grand, the developers opted to make it a grindfest. And the final nail in the coffin: What if you don’t like how the weapon looks?
The worst thing that could hapkitten that a player collects all the items to make a legendary weapon, and then realizes it’s ugly. My tip to anyone who goes down this road, look up the weapon you want before you’re dissaponted.
Player vs. Player:
I’m compared the pvp of Guild Wars 2 with that of its predecessor, and keep in mind I only played a Necro in Guild Wars 2. Playing pvp with my necro is pretty much impossible, maybe removing 25% of someones health bar before I die. The minions I try to throw at a person die faster then the bunnies you find in Queesndale. This basically means that 5 skills in my bar only function when the minions feel like attacking anything at all.
After 5 matches of every class trampling over me I just gave up. Before you call me a noob, or chalk this up to me being a bad player, don’t. I may not be the best player out there but I’ve been around long enough that I can hold my own in any game.
Verdict:
Having 2 accounts in Guild Wars 1, each with 30 titles, I think it’s pretty safe to say that I’m pretty devoted to the francise. There is a lot this game does well, but it feels empty to me. The dynamic events do make the world feel alive a bit, but the game just lacks story. Moments like where Rurik dies, ascending by defeating your dobbleganger, these moments pusched the story, and I miss such events in this game.
It pains me to say this, but for a game that has been in the making for 5+ years, I just don’t see it. Nevertheless I have played the game for 200 hours+, so it’s definitely worth your money. But I can imagine that there are more people out there that share my view of the game.
The reason for this post is to let Arenanet/NCsoft know how I experienced Guild Wars 2. I don’t know if there already has been a similar thread on the forum, or if this is the right spot to post it, but I think this should go here, pardon me if I made a mistake.
If you also would like to give the dev team your honest review of the game, don’t hesitate to leave your comment. I would also like to ask you not to go into a discussion about this post, because this is how I experienced the game, and these are my opinions.
(((SPOILERS AFTER THIS POINT)))
Necromancer:
I made a human necromancer, just to try something new from the elementalist I played in Guild Wars 1. A few things that bug me about the necromancer are:
1. The lack of weapon skills. There isn’t a lot of choice here.
2. Slot skills take way to long to recharge. Most skills have a +/- 45 second recharge.
3. Reanimator trait is useless. The jagged horror dies before it can do anything.
4. Minion AI. Half the time minions don’t do anything. In pvp this is even worse.
5. No regeneration for minions outside of combat. Not having this puts the necromancer at a disadvantage when they engage a new target.
6. Not being able to dismiss a minion. Basically there needs to be a way to refresh your minions outside of combat.
7. No minion control. Minions just attack whatever they want. The flesh golem is mostly guilty of this, sometimes going on a rampage. I witnessed the golem going on such a spree ones for litteraly a minute, in this time I was just standing still not touching my keyboard.
8. Flesh golem disolving in water. It’s an elite skill, yet my ‘crappy’ minions can swim.
Story:
The storyline didn’t really speak to me, the character didn’t feel like a hero, but more of a sidekick. Tibalt, and Trahearne were the main characters in the story, the player was around, following orders from them. Sure you were important to the story, but you were more of a handyman, fixing things. The branching of the storyline was a cool touch though, I hope you guys explore this feature more in future expansions.
As far as final bosses go, this one scores even lower then the non excistent boss in Mass Effect 3. An epic encounter just boiled down to the pressing of the ‘1’ button. I’m sorry, but that’s just underwhelming.
